Theme 1: Design a wrestler hailing from America circa 2076 Criteria:1. Choose a name, height and weight for your wrestlerStar Spangled Shroud
6'5
307 lbs______________________________________________________
2. Select a primary archetype (and two secondary ones) from the list below that you feel best reflects your wrestler's personaPrimary Archetype: Avenger
Secondary Archetypes: Prophet/Profiler
Brad Shroud's view of the world and his place in it has been shaped by experience...both of his own life and the relayed experiences of those around him. As a primary he is driven to avenge the death of his father and loss of his homeland's political, social and economic well being. He seeks to accomplish this by raising universal awareness of his philosophy of negative liberty. His goal is to ply his athletic talent into a successful career in professional wrestling...and then use the spotlight that comes with stardom as a platform to inspire purposeful action on a massive scale.
Working under the moniker of the Star Spangled Shroud he views himself as an important leader in the individual rights movement. He believes himself to be uniquely special and holds himself to a prophetical standard of importance that comes with a heavy burden of responsibility.
Perhaps a negative side effect to his personality is that he carries vigilance to extremes and often profiles and stereotypes those who do not share his world view. He considers those who disagree with 'the truth' of his philosophy to not only be wrong but to hold views and ideas that are 'evil' and 'intentionally dishonest'. He is quick to type cast any form of conjecture into the same broad box and consequently equates all dissent with the line of thinking that led to the destruction of his American heritage and the tragic death of his father.

3. Flesh the character out by tying the archetypes into a biography that describes the origins of your wrestler. Explain how their surrounding environment (ie. America or Earth) effected those traitsIn the words of his great grandfather, few Americans in 2020 ever saw the collapse coming. Yet a cursory review of the information that was readily available to the general public of the early 21st Century indicates that to not see the emerging trends and understand where it was leading would require a great deal of willful ignorance. The signs were mounting on a daily basis: rising debt, unsustainable deficit projections, public announcements of a loss of confidence in the dollar, central banks and corporations settling transactions in non-dollar denominated currencies, demographics that further weighed on future entitlement commitments, self interested politicians frozen to inaction, etc.
To most disinterested people it all seemed so distant and abstract...until the day the U.S. Dollar finally collapsed and the illusion of 'wealth' disappeared for hundreds of millions in the United States. Earth's largest debtor nation could no longer just print its own paper currency, securitize its debt and live off the savings of the multitude of people around the world who themselves were living under corrupt governments. The jig was up!
The new realities quickly indicated that life had changed for the worse. At the pump gas prices exploded and began rising everyday as oil no longer settled in Petrodollars. Food and supply shortages were experienced everywhere as America's current account deficits coupled with a worthless currency found the U.S. cut off by their creditors. The reality that our manufacturing base has been systemically decimated was revealed with empty department store shelves as worthless paper dollars chased fewer and fewer products. With a negative savings rate and destructive tax policies there was no basis to build growth and no incentive for outside entrepreneurship efforts to chance the risks that create productivity gains.
Mass unemployment led to unfathomable social problems and high crime rates. Government on all levels tried to recover a shrinking revenue base by raising hidden and direct taxes...which accelerated capital flight overseas and created a vicious cycle of wealth destruction. Prospects looked dim...and it was only the beginning!
For years the American Empire had liberally exported tax payer funded institutions to third world countries with little regard for the effect on the people living there. The resulting karma would prove very unkind. When the International Monetary Fund (an institution initially created and controlled by America) 'came to the rescue' with an emergency loan program for Earth's largest debtor nation...it was done under a dollar peg to the IMF's new fiat world reserve currency...the SDR. Rules were set up that privatized the nation's natural resources, lowered wages & living standards and stunted infrastructure. The rules also purposely stunted growth and made debt repayment impossible.
America's vast military industrial complex essentially succeeded from the country and aligned itself with the interests of the global financial institutions that took America's super power position in the global hierarchy. As states and entire regions attempted to 'succeed' from the Federal Government 'peace keepers' were farcically sent in to supposedly stop 'insurgents' and 'domestic terrorists' and ensure 'democracy'.
Through his father Benjamin Shroud's eyes, mid 21st Century America represented a lost ideal worthy of defiant struggle in a bid for recovery. A memory of what liberty was still remained in the hearts and minds of many...but it was a way of life that no longer existed. Benjamin was politically active in the Liberty movement, which sought to educate people about individual rights and the original Constitution of the country. An intelligent charismatic speaker, he was considered radical by the Powers That Be and was placed on a watch list.
In 2068 Benjamin gained great publicity in the media with his charge that the Earth/Cygnus War was secretly driven by financial interests from both planets. He claimed that the alleged Cygnus bombing of San Francisco was actually a false flag operation by Earth's shadow government elite who planned to create a military driven credit bubble of massive proportions coupled with global debt and depopulation of 'undesirable peoples' through conscription of service.
During one such protest Benjamin was shot and killed under mysterious circumstances. He was survived by his wife and fifteen year old son Brad.
Through Brad Shroud's eyes the America of 2076 is a victim of Global Corporatocracy. He is a man with a deep passion for what the United States once was and dreams of the day that it 'could be' again.
In dedication to the death of his father, he assumed the mantle of expressing his views through a medium that could inspire and reach a global audience: professional wrestling. Professional sports were one of the few remaining outlets in the United States that allowed for merit based advancement, and it is that avenue into which he has focused his talent and efforts.

5. Design a ring entrance (including a song with title & artist) that brings your character to lifeDepending upon a venues locale and view of the universal Individual Rights movement, Star Spangled Shroud's reception from the audience can differ sharply. The one constant is his routine of speaking out at every turn (before a match, post match, media gigs, etc.) about the Liberty movement and the responsibility of everyone who hears his words to take positive action.
