Hey there. I run an efed called Ring of Pride. My vision for RoP is simple. I looked around the fed world and saw all of these WWE and TNA rip offs acting like mainstream companies and I wanted to provide an alternative for people who may either be sick of generic WWE rip off feds or want to try something different. RoP is an independent company in character, based in the Southwestern United States (West Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Southern California) and headquartered in Las Vegas. The shows are small at venues holding a maximum of maybe a thousand people and sometimes even county fairs and bars. There's no pyro at RoP shows and there's no big effects. Due to the company's location, it's also influenced by a mix of Lucha Libre and even Puro wrestling with some ultraviolent and hardcore stuff thrown in on occasion so our results are a cornucopia with a little bit of everything for everyone.
Shows in RoP are bi weekly. This is done so everyone can have a life outside of fedding, take their time with their work and not rush to finish it. The bi weekly shows are called Meltdown and unlike most fed's shows, they aren't aired on TV. Instead, they're streamed via the company's website. We also have supercards, which usually serve as the culmination point for most feuds and host the bigger matches in the fed. These supershows are aired on internet pay per view. Supershows also tend to run in larger venues for a few thousand people whereas Meltdown is usually taped in venues that seat around 1000 fans or less. Deadline for both supershows and Meltdown is on selected Sundays at midnight. The roleplay limit for both is three.
RoP also has three titles. The RoP Tag Team titles are for the top tandems in the fed. The Texas Television title is meant for up and coming superstars and is usually fought for most often of all of the titles. It's defended on both Meltdown shows and supershows. The Southwestern Heavyweight title is the top title in RoP and should be what everybody on the roster strives to win. Due to the title's prestige, there's almost always going to be a feud or storyline based around it. It's also mainly defended on supershows, though Meltdown defenses can happen.
Last but not least, RoP is a shoot fed. This means that it's based around trash talk and talk about your character's upcoming match. That's not to say that off camera scenes can't be done. They can, but they won't count toward the overall judging. Well, I guess that's it. If you read this far and would like to give RoP a look at, by all means stop by the boards and chat with anyone that may be on. The atmosphere is very community like and friendly and that's the way I want it to be. I created this fed with the intent of making it a handler friendly place for everyone and anyone of any skill level to come to and have fun at. Whether you've been in the game for years, months or even just days, RoP is a place that anyone can sign up to and have a nice, laid back, fun time.
