The 2119 New Beginnings set is what kicked off my current fed and there are some great matches and feuds to be had here. Endgame vs Disaster was one of the most intense main events I ever ran. Sure the cards are still in black & white but, trust me, the matches you'll run with this set will be as colorful as any.
My 2 cents.

Is anyone else feeling nostalgic reading people's New Beginnings feds on the boards? I am, big time. Kind of hit me out of nowhere. Much like reading old school 2087 feds does for me, it's exciting to see all these characters who have done so much in my fed (up to current year) starting out for others. I'm really enjoying it a lot. NB might have been underrated and just now proving a true classic.

I'm still playing through this year (check out my fed! Huzzah!) and I think it's a terrific year. So many great characters to play around with, and I really love the smaller roster. It makes it so you have time to really develop each character. Sometimes in periods where the fed was filled with guys I found myself sticking guys in meaningless matches or losing track of them. I find a smaller roster helps give the midcard and lower card guys more meaning.

When someone plays 2087 and then jumps to 2119, it's very easily to be impressed by the card mechanics. I love it.
