I have used this match before and I will have it featured on an upcoming card. There are two versions: the classic Mid-South / southern type (used most recently in OVW) and the ECW version.
The Classic Version:
Two men start in the ring and wrestle as normal. The winner stays in the ring and wrestles the next guy. They would set up matches that they never saw: like a teacher vs. student, partner vs. partner, face vs. face, etc... They usually had about 10 to 12 men and it would be the entire card.
The ECW Version:
The same idea, but they added the idea of the over the top ropes aspect. This one is harder to do with LOW cards. I use the out of the ring as an attempt to throw out of the ring. I use the Pin Rating plus the ag to determine if he is thrown out of the ring.
I prefer the Southern version, but I am looking to make these better, overall. The ECW one needs some tweeking, as it kinda gets messy after awhile.
Any suggestions on how to make it better?
Any additions?
If you decide to try out the match, please let me know what you think would help make this a smoother bout.

It amazes me how much higher the productivity level is on the BRT Forum.
I think the classic version has easier game mechanics to work with.
One thing you can do to add to the gauntlet possibilities is trigger an entrance order roll with each rotation (ie. if there are 6 entrants on deck do a quick roll to determine who enters next).
You can also build a second tier event into the system similar to a Reverse Triangle match. Those who 'are the first eliminated' (for example the first three wrestlers) could be brought back later on in the night with some sort of stipulation match (ie. loser gets a yellow streak painted down his match).
That would build a consequence into partaking in the gauntlet and failing.

When did ECW run this match? Don't remember the exact date, but it was on TV. The match featured a bunch of bottom of the card guys getting destroyed by Sandman and Raven. It was when Raven and Sandman were feuding over the belt.

Another great match I will have to implement into my fed hopefully. Counting this one, the TCS and others, I've gotten 3 matches in less than a week to spice up my fed. I love the BRT! On topic though, I like the ECW version myself...it adds a little more dimension than just pinning your guy. Excellent concept, both are good sounding versions and I wouldn't change anything.

The ECW one could be beefed up with the over the top rope rule. Perhaps use Cage rating or Pin Rating, which ever is lower, that way there isnt a fast over the top rope elimination.

I've figured out what I'm doing for my King of the Hill...using Top 10 gauntlet...with a pin/sub OR out of the ring. For OOTR I will try it when the chart option comes up, roll 2d6. Evens the wrestler stays in and Odd is an elimination. Also I will throw in what Paint said with the first 3 out in a triple threat elimination, but the stip is that the 2 losers are suspended for x-amount of time (5 cards or so) or no title shots for remainer of year.

Guys, these are lots of great ideas. I would love to see results. I will be using this in Cove in a few cards. (I have the Survival of the Fittest tournament coming up first).
