While I have a lot of issues with the attitude era, I think one of the things that made it really compelling and watchable TV was fun babyface midcarders. No one felt as though everyone had to come in as a monster heel and squash people while scowling.
I think this went a long way to making Brodus stand out, and making him a boatload of money in the process from kids buying shirts.
Plus, I am really holding out hope that we have a surprise rumble spot in which Rikishi shows up and they have a dance off.

It was painful enough to watch that I turned the channel to something, for the love of God I don't remember, that my wife wanted to watch. You had to watch the Bachelor didn't you? lol So did I which is why I watched Raw this morning. No mine was a cooking show, I believe I fared better than you did

I loved Brodus Clay. He's still a monster, he beat poor Curt Hawkins in what 5/6 moves? Now he's just a fun loving Funkasaurus from planet funk. It adds personality to the generic stale heel he would normally be. I think of him now as Rikishi 2.0 mixed with Flash Funk/Scorpio, and a dash of Johnny B. Badd. Somebody call his momma! Only in the WWE.

The segment was 100% unwatchable.

I liked it, too... Clay clearly enjoyed the role, and that's a good thing. I posted else where it made me think of Rikishi, only with hot chicks as running buddies instead of Too Cool, which is a big upgrade, if you ask me.
I also like how Cole and Lawler sold it as a surprise... It was to me, that's for sure.

I didn't watch Raw and have read what I'd say was 50/50 on people hating the Brodus Clay return. I happen to see the clips and it's different for sure and humor is needed in the WWE and this seems like a fun twist. The Chris Jericho segment sounded bad and it's still a must wait and see thing, but honestly there are better things going on till he starts to be involved...

Wow, that crowd was absolutely dead with no reaction to that debut whatsoever.

all I can say is that it was far different from anything I was expecting out of his debut!? He played it up well though, and as Swarm says, you could definitely tell he was into it and enjoying the moment. Now we'll see just how long it lasts though. He's still a beast inside the ring, hard hitting, which I like.

Well admittedly, it is nice to hear that Brodus showed charisma.

New WWE slogan - You thought how we handled the Jericho and Kane returns were dumb, wait til you see what we do with Brodus Clay. What was wrong with how Kane returned? He opened his mouth and cut a boring promo.
