Wow, that crowd was absolutely dead with no reaction to that debut whatsoever. That isn't fair. The crowd was dead for the entire show. No one got a reaction. As much as I hate to say it, a better barometer might be twitter, on which Brodus Clay and Funkasaurus were trending world wide for hours after Raw went off the air.

What was wrong with how Kane returned? He opened his mouth and cut a boring promo. I thought the promo he cut on Cena was good, but I hated him talking this week. In real life Kane is a really brilliant politician, so I thought having him speak out like that could be a cool twist to his character. But this week it really came off as the usual generic heel mumbo jumbo with how much the fans hate their lives, jobs etc...

The most embarrassing thing , I have ever seen in years in the WWE .
Ever seen Little Britain comedy show with a welsh guy man who keeps saying"I'm the only gay in the village" , came to mind when I say it ?

When I first saw the Funkasaurus Brodus, I was very taken aback. My initial reaction was that I didn't like it. But I watched it a few more times and then I started to enjoy it. He really owned that character. I showed it to my girlfriend who I've got hooked to wrestling a bit now. She likes Chikara more because she said she loves the characters, so I thought she'd be a good person to get a reaction from. She absolutely loved it! She would laugh when he did his little girations then went "Whoa!" when he did his flying leap/pancake squash onto Hawkins. It reminded me a bit of Dusty Rhodes. At least with Brodus we get 2 hot black chicks instead of Sapphire. People were expecting Dusty to debut in WWE as the exact character he was in NWA/WCW. Many people were very pissed when he debuted in the polka dots but now, can you think of Dusty without thinking of the black & yellow polka dots? I can't so I think it's a cool character for Brodus and probably better than the same monster heel we've seen forever. He's young so they have plenty of time for him to play the monster heel role if they want.

I heard that one of the dancers was the first contestant eliminated from Tough Enough...yep, the one whose favorite match was Melina vs. Alicia Fox. She may be the only one from that show to actually make it on the roster.

I don't think anyone in that entire village is completely straight.

Clay as "Generic big man heel #1,298" would have been lost in the shuffle in no time. At BEST he'd be the 3rd most important guy playing that role in the company with Henry and Kane way, way out ahead of him.
Now he's a fun, energetic babyface. And this thing is going to get over. Big time. Even that dead ass crowd, if you watch until the end there is some reaction there. And they weren't reacting to anything all night long.
Fun to see people whine and bitch about "cookie cutter" WWE, and then when they give you something out of the ordinary everyone has their torches and pitchforks out.

I also think it is bizarre that a lot of the same people who love the zany antics in Chikara and Hustle completely crap on things like that in WWE. I just don't understand it.

Brodus Clay as the generic big man isn't much different than Flash Clay in the sense that it's a foot in the door for him. Either gimmick, if he doesn't make something out of his opportunity, he will get lost in the shuffle. I'm not a big fan of this gimmick, but I guess it's unexpected and more original than what's expected, so that's good.

On the subject of Kane, why did he bring the mask back (other than the obvious merchandising reason) More importantly, why is he wearing the welding mask over it? Have they explained it, or are we to assume it's because he's a monster and there's no reason to his madness?
