Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare December 7, 2011 (Card #404) Zorn Arena, Eau Claire, Wisconsin The show opens with the tune, "Turn The Page" by Bob Seger playing overhead. CHRISTY HEMME sways soulfully in the ring as DAYTONDAVE takes the microphone to open the show.Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Eau Claire, Wisconsin! This beautiful city was the locale where the great Bob Seger wrote the tune you heard to open the show tonight! Unfortunately, that will be about the last peaceful moment we'll have tonight. The Combat Championship will be up for grabs in our Main Event as COLT CABANA faces off against CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI! So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! TRACI BROOKS* (w/ CHRIS JERICHO) pinned MERCEDES MARTINEZ***The welcome received by Traci was not warm, either from the crowd or from Mercedes. Mercedes overpowered Traci at the opening of the contest, and she appeared overmatched, but managed to kick out of Mercedes' Fisherman's Buster. With Jericho spurring her on, Traci rallied and drilled Mercedes with a devastating spear! Traci immediately followed with a series of Brooks and Dunn lariats, and finally put Mercedes down for the three count! Daytondave: That was amazing! I may have underestimated the talents of Traci Brooks- but I still don't see her as a threat to the Ladies' Championship. But you never know- with Chris Jericho pulling the strings, anything can happen! ADAM PEARCE pinned DELIRIOUS*Pearce proved himself to be far too powerful for Delirious in this bout. He had the answer for every move the goofy masked man attempted, and took control of the bout with a Spinebuster Slam that left Delirious gasping. A second spinebuster was all Pearce needed to seal the deal. Daytondave: Revenge for Adam Pearce! These two hooked up in an epic Ring of Honor match in Dayton a few years back, with yours truly in attendance. Delirious took that match with a Cobra Stretch on the top of the light tower! Tonight, Pearce is your winner. THE YOUNG BUCKS (MATT*** and NICK JACKSON) defeated THE 'IN' CROWD (VAL VENIS & CHRIS CANDIDO* w/ TAMMY LYNN SYTCH)In a surprising change of fortune, Matt Jackson survived an incredible beating from Venis, and a double-team elbow smash. A desperate rally enabled Matt to escape from enemy territory and surprise Candido with a Flipping Sitout Facebuster for a surprise pinfall! Daytondave: What a terrific athletic move by Matt Jackson! They don't call that dude "Mr. Action Replay" for nothing. Congratulations to the Young Bucks for picking up their first victory in the Heartland! A tough loss for Venis and Candido- that knocks them out of contention for a shot at the tag team titles. Next up- two of the quickest men on Warfare will face off in a match with title implications. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH* defeated 2 COLD SCORPIO* by submissionA strange twist of events marred the match between Quack and Scorpio. The early stages of the match saw Scorpio in control, catching a near-fall with a Tumbleweed Leg Drop. After Quackenbush kicked out, CHRISTOPHER DANIELS appeared at ringside and began to taunt both men! Daniels finally climbed to the ring apron, distracting Scorpio, but Quackenbush intervened and blasted Daniels with a stiff right hand! Daniels collapsed to the floor, and Quackenbush took over the momentum in the match. After a furious exchange of athletic moves, Quackenbush caught Scorpio in a Chikara Special and forced him to tap out! After the match, Daniels stormed to the announcer's table and confronted Daytondave!Daniels: Daytondave- you saw it! I pinned AJ STYLES at Card 400! I want a shot at the Heartland Heavyweight Title! Daytondave: Really? I'll hand it to you- you did beat AJ cleanly in your last match. But this crap with THE BRISCOE BROTHERS and interfering in matches has to end. So- here's what I will do. I will give you a match against Quackenbush- and the winner gets a title shot. BUT- any interference from the Briscoes, or anyone else- and you will lose your title shot and be suspended for 30 days! That goes for you, too, Quackenbush. The fans cheer and Quackenbush nods. Daniels ribs his jaw and glares at Quackenbush, then storms away from the ring area. Daytondave: That's enough of that situation. It's time for Daniels to put up or shut up. He wants a shot- he'll have to earn it. Next up- another crucial tag team contest, for the #1 contender position! HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE BRISCOE BROTHERS (MARK*** & JAY**) defeated MNM (JOEY MERCURY* & JOHNNY NITRO** w/ MELINA)A brutal contest between two worthy contenders! Jay Briscoe attempted a cheap shot on Mercury before the opening bell, but Mercury fired back and the brawl was on! Mercury got the best of Jay, and then took on Mark. In a slick move, Mercury manuvered Mark to his own corner, and Nitro entered the ring to deliver a double-team Snapshot on Mark! Jay made the save, but MNM came right back and hit a Snapshot on him as well! Both Briscoes were down, but not out. Mark recovered to battle Nitro, and Jay joined him to level Nitro with a double football tackle! Johnny was stunned, and Jay Briscoe held off Mercury while Mark dropped Nitro with a Cut-Throat Driver for the pinfall. Daytondave: Check THAT out! The Briscoes took a helluva beating, but they came back and stole the victory. What Dem Boys lack in brains- and teeth- they make up for with great ring awareness and raw toughness. Kudos to the new #1 contenders! All right, fans- time for the Combat Championship! MAIN EVENT: WARFARE COMBAT CHAMPIONSHIP COLT CABANA*** defeated CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI***** by submissionIn a marathon bout, Cabana and Claudio battled all over Eau Claire! Claudio brought the power and the fury on the arena floor, but Cabana showed his resilience and bobbed and weaved to keep the challenger off balance. Claudio's kicks connected to stun Cabana several times, but Colt controlled the pace of the match and retaliated with a running lariat that sent Claudio sprawling! After twenty minutes of grueling, back-and-forth action, Colt saw his opportunity and deftly leap-frogged his way out of an attempted back-body drop. Colt nailed Claudio with a Bionic Elbow, and immediately wrapped him up in the Colt .45! After a long struggle, Claudio was finally forced to give it up! COLT CABANA RETAINS THE WARFARE COMBAT CHAMPIONSHIPDaytondave: Whoa! Fans, I am exhausted just watching that match! One of the most competitive Combat Championship matches ever- and Cabana pulls out the victory to hold on to the belt. Congratulations to both those guys for a terrific Main Event! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Don't forget the Old School pay-per-view this weekend- BOBO BRAZIL and STAN HANSEN for the Old School title! Warfare will be off next week, but be sure to join us in two weeks for our next exciting broadcast. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night proudly presents: Freedom Hall, Louisville, Kentucky December 10, 2011 The show opens with a camera shot from the parking lot of the Freedom Hall. A car pulls into the lot, and BARRY WINDHAM and MIKE ROTUNDA emerge. Out of nowhere, they are attacked by BRADSHAW and ONE MAN GANG! A fierce brawl develops. Gang catches Windham and smashes him face-first against the side of the car. Windham slumps to the ground. The sound of tires squealing is heard, and DUSTY RHODES pulls up in a pick-up truck. He rushes to the scene, swinging a tire iron and scattering Bradshaw and Gang. The scene shifts to the arena, where the tune "You Ain't Seen Nuttin' Yet" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive is playing overhead. JR JAMES climbs into the ring with a confident smile, dressed in a crisp business suit and wing-tips as he takes the microphone to open the show.JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to "You Ain't Seen Nuttin' Yet!" On behalf of Heartland Championship Wrestling, Old School Saturday Night is pleased to bring you tonight's pay-per-view broadcast! We have six big matches in store for you tonight, fans- including a spectacular Main Event which will pit the Old School Heavyweight Champion, BOBO BRAZIL, in a rematch against the former champion, STAN HANSEN! The Old School Tag Team Championships, and the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line tonight. Plus, two intense grudge matches as ONE MAN GANG squares off with DUSTY RHODES, and KILLER KOWALSKI takes on BRADSHAW. But first, ladies and gentlemen, we bring you a number one contenders' match for the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE IRON SHEIK* defeated LES THATCHER**** by submissionA very competitive opening bout! Thatcher controlled the pace for much of the match, but couldn't get Sheik to tap out to the Stump Puller. When the referee was briefly shaken up after a mid-ring collision, the tide turned, and the Sheik went to work with his loaded boots. Several stiff kicks to Thatcher's midsection weakened him, and made him easy prey for the Camel Clutch. JR: Congratulations to the Iranian Sheik for earning his way back into contention for a title he once held. He will move on to face the winner of tonight's title bout which we will see later in the evening. JR pauses and listens in on his headset, nodding.JR: Ladies and gentlemen, I have just received word from my man LANNY POFFO backstage that there has been an attack in the parking lot involving the tag team champions! Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda have been assaulted, but it appears that they will be able to compete here tonight. Good news on that front- I have been looking forward to the match-up for the title belts pitting Mike and Barry against the former champions, ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA. Next up- KILLER KOWALSKI has crossed paths with the devious BRADSHAW on a number of previous occasions. But one week ago, Kowalski was waylaid in a show of force by Bradshaw's... shall we say... associates, STAN HANSEN and THE ONE MAN GANG. Kowalski is now seeking revenge as he squares off against Bradshaw here tonight. GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION KILLER KOWALSKI** defeated BRADSHAW**** by submissionAnother colossal war in the long history between these two men. Bradshaw worked over Kowalski with backdrops and clotheslines, then dropped his foe with a tremendous JBL Bomb! Kowalski managed to kick out and summed up a comeback. A vicious shoulder breaker put Killer in control, and allowed him to set up the Claw Hold. But before the Killer could execute his vaunted finisher, VELVET SKY appeared at ringside and shrieked at the referee! Velvet jumped to the ring apron, and Kowalski threatened to backhand her as the referee held him back. Suddenly, CHRIS JERICHO and TRACI BROOKS emerged from backstage! Traci pulled Velvet off the ring apron, and a catfight erupted at ringside! Jericho pointed into the ring, alerting Kowalski that Bradshaw was loading up a Clothesline From Hell! Kowalski turned at just the right moment to duck the clothesline and power Bradshaw up for a thunderous bodyslam. As JAMES THE ENFORCER headed to ringside to separate Velvet and Traci, Kowalski was able to clamp on the Claw Hold and put an end to Bradshaw. JR: A show of unity from Team Canada! Jericho has been unpredictable in his association with Kowalski and his fellow Canadians, but he was Johnny-on-the-spot tonight! And no question, this young lady Traci Brooks has proven herself more than capable with her fists. Can Team Canada make it two in a row? Let's see if ANGELO MOSCA can hold onto his Kentucky Heavyweight Championship.KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP ANGELO MOSCA* (c) pinned IVAN PUTSKI***The heavy lumber was brought by both these men, as Mosca and Putski went toe to toe for nearly 15 minutes. Finally, it was a stunning Heart Punch from Mosca that brought Putski to a stop, allowing Mosca to finish him off with a devastating Football Tackle. ANGELO MOSCA RETAINS THE KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Those two men indeed bring back the definition of an Old School bout. Mosca was the more athletic of the two, and in the end that allowed him to catch the duke. STEEL CAGE MATCH DUSTY RHODES* pinned ONE MAN GANG*****In a nasty confrontation, Gang came out and tried to put Dusty through the cage face-first! But Dusty refused to back down, and countered an attempted big splash by driving his knees into Gang's midsection. With Gang stunned, Dusty nailed him with a Stardust Piledriver! Gang had his running lights dimmed, and Dusty went to work with a series of Bionic Elbows to put Gang out for the count. After the decision, Rhodes left the cage and took the microphone.Rhodes: One Man Gang- you wanna sucker punch me? Is dat what dat snake in the grass Bradshaw is payin' you for? Well brother, I put you in your place tonight and I will whoop you any time you wanna piece of me. But the next man I wanna see across dat ring is dat rattlesnake - STAN HANSEN! You backstabbed me, pardner- and I'm comin' for ya! We gonna git funky like a monkey! JR: How about that? Dusty Rhodes has dispatched the One Man Gang and he has set his sights on Stan Hansen! That will be without question a confrontation of epic proportions. All right, ladies and gentlemen, we have two matches remaining, and both are for the most prestigious championships in the Old School! First off, the Old School Tag Team Championship match. The champions, BARRY WINDHAM & MIKE ROTUNDA, were attacked in the parking lot before the show, but quick thinking and intervention by DUSTY RHODES saved their collective hides, and no question allowed this match to take place tonight. ANTONIO INOKI and GIANT BABA come to the ring, to the respectful cheers of the fans. Windham and Rotunda follow. Windham sports a nasty shiner under his left eye, but appears determined as the champions hit the ring. Inoki approaches Windham and carefully inspects the injury, but Windham brushes him away. All four men exchange handshakes as the match begins. OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ANTONIO INOKI** & GIANT BABA*** defeated BARRY WINDHAM*** & MIKE ROTUNDA*In a wild, action-packed bout, Inoki and Baba finally got the best of Windham and Rotunda to regain the tag team titles! The match was dramatic, with twists and turns of controversy. After several minutes of closely fought action between Rotunda and Baba, Baba overcame a double-team attempt and clotheslined both the champions! Baba then nailed Rotunda with a Backbreaker Drop, but Windham saved his partner and made the legal tag to enter the match. Windham took control and trapped Baba in a tight sleeper hold! It looked like literally lights out for Baba, but ONE MAN GANG stormed the ring! Rotunda quickly intercepted Gang and rammed him face first into the ring post! JR: Oh, my goodness! One Man Gang has been knocked out cold at ringside! The match continued with Windham dominating Baba for several more minutes, culminating in a Flying Lariat! But Baba survived the onslaught and kicked out of the pin attempt. Both men tagged out of the match, and Rotunda took over on Inoki. Rotunda trapped Inoki in a grinding abdominal stretch to wear him down, but Baba used the opportunity to catch his breath and finally tag back into the match. Baba took out Rotunda with a massive boot to the face! Windham soon found himself on the receiving end of a Backbreaker Drop of his own, and Baba pinned him cleanly! ANTONIO INOKI AND GIANT BABA CAPTURE THE OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPSJR: Ladies and gentlemen, what a tremendous wrestling match we have just witnessed! I am proud to have been a part of such a classic encounter! After months of shenanigans and interference from Bradshaw and his cronies, we finally get to see what these two teams could do in the ring. No question, congratulations are due to the new champions, Inoki and Baba, after a tremendous victory- and believe it or not- a clean finish! I daresay, tonight's Main Event will be neither scientific nor clean- but it will be a battle with the Old School Heavyweight Championship on the line! MAIN EVENT: OLD SCHOOL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP STAN HANSEN* defeated BOBO BRAZIL* by disqualificationThe bout between the behemoths was all the fans had hoped for and more. Hansen and Brazil brawled all over the arena, until things really got out of hand and Brazil obliterated Hansen with a steel chair! That blow cost Brazil a disqualification. BOBO BRAZIL RETAINS THE OLD SCHOOL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPAfter the decision, the brawl continued! Hansen shook off the effects of the chair shot and came back after Brazil with a fury! Bobo and Hansen brawled for several minutes until Hansen retrieved his cowbell. Hansen tore into Bobo with the cowbell and caught him with a vicious shot to the side of the head. Bobo went down to one knee, and Hansen went for blood. He used the cowbell viciously against the champion, opening a nasty gash on Brazil's forehead! Brazil was bloodied, but continued to battle, brawling with Hansen all the way back to the locker room as the fans screamed.JR: What a monstrous laceration that was on the head of Bobo Brazil! Our champion came to fight tonight- just as he does every time he hits the ring. He may have lost the battle tonight, but the war between these two men rages on. Ladies and gentlemen, that concludes tonight's broadcast. We thank you for joining us for this special pay-per-view presentation of Heartland Havoc XLII: You Ain't Seen Nuttin' Yet! Congratulations again to the new Old School Tag Team Champions, ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA. Heartland will be back one week from tonight with another edition of Old School. Until then, fans, so long from the Bluegrass State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night December 17, 2011 (Card #405) Sports Plus, Cincinnati, Ohio The show opens with JR JAMES in the center of the ring, carrying the microphone. The tune, "Hang On Sloopy" by The McCoy's plays overhead. The fans sway and clap in time with the music.JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Old School Saturday Night! This will be the final Old School broadcast of 2011, so we are pulling out all the stops to make this evening special. The Old School Heavyweight Championship will once again be on the line in a rematch of last week's wild brawl between BOBO BRAZIL and STAN HANSEN! Plus, we'll see a tag team grudge match pitting the unfamiliar team of DUSTY RHODES & MIKE ROTUNDA against BRADSHAW & ONE MAN GANG. All this excitement tonight is gearing up for the annual New Year's Day tradition of Buckeye Bowl 2012, when all the stars of the Heartland we go to battle for the honor of coming out on top. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! The crowd applauds as "SUPERSTAR" BILL DUNDEE heads to the ring for the opening bout. Without warning, Dundee is attacked on the entry way by LARRY HENNIG and MR. FUJI! Hennig and Fuji put the boots to Dundee, and "EXOTIC" ADRIAN STREET joins in on the attack! Dundee tries to fight off all three men, but gets beaten down until BOB & BRAD ARMSTRONG sprint from the locker room to make the save. Dundee ultimately made it to the ring without significant injury to start the contest.LARRY HENNIG pinned "SUPERSTAR" BILL DUNDEE***After escaping the sneak attack from Hennig and friends, Dundee was angry but also somewhat weakened. Hennig overpowered him quickly, using a powerful bearhug to wear down the Aussie before finishing him off with The Axe. JR: A rough night indeed for Bill Dundee. Although he was rescued by the Armstrongs, he fell prey to a more powerful foe in Larry Hennig. The association between Hennig, Fuji, and Dundee is not clear, but it is a situation which bears watching given the volatile personalities involved. CHRIS JERICHO defeated BOOKER T* by submissionIn an action-packed but brief bout, Booker controlled most of the action but was unable to put Jericho down. Jericho made a slick reversal, rolling out the back door of an attempted Sunset Flip and blasting Booker with a Missile Dropkick! Before Booker could recover, Jericho wrapped him up in a Liontamer and forced him to tap out. JR: The enigmatic Chris Jericho attains a hard-fought victory here tonight. Jericho has been all over the wrestling universe, most recently making his presence felt on Warfare as an interloper in the Heartland Ladies' Division! Next up, the friends of Jericho representing Team Canada will have the opportunity to vie for a shot at the Old School Tag Team Titles!OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE VALIANT BROTHERS (JIMMY & JOHNNY) defeated TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE* & ANGELO MOSCA)Two well-coordinated tag teams hooked up in a competitive bout which turned when the Valiants nailed an awesome Double Neckbreaker on Mountie. Johnny Valiant was quick to capitalize, blasting Mountie with a Top Rope Elbow to score a clean pinfall. JR: Congratulations to the Valiant Brothers! Jimmy and Johnny are now the top contenders to the Old School Tag Team Championship! Will the brothers Valiant be able to withstand the awesome champions, ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA? Time will tell! Next up- another #1 Contenders' Match- for the Old School Heavyweight Championship! OLD SCHOOL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH MR. FUJI*** defeated BARRY WINDHAM*** by submissionMore devious antics from Mr. Fuji enabled him to score an upset victory over Barry Windham and capture a shot at the Old School Championship! Windham was dominating Fuji for the majority of the match, and looked to have won it with a Flying Lariat until LARRY HENNIG appeared at ringside and interrupted the count! Fuji took advantage of the distraction and blasted Windham with a faceful of salt! Barry was disoriented, and Fuji nailed him with the Kamikaze clothesline. Barry went down hard, and Fuji locked in the Nerve Grip. Windham struggled, but was unable to find his way to the ropes. After an agonizing battle, Windham was forced to give it up! JR: How about that? Fuji was overmatched, but he came to the ring with a game plan- using all his resources, including his new hired hand LARRY HENNIG, to steal one from Barry Windham and earn his shot at the gold! Fuji will be a prohibitive underdog against the champion, be it BOBO BRAZIL or STAN HANSEN, but there is no question that neither of those individuals can afford to enter into that match-up lightly. Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a remarkable evening so far, but the intensity is about to pick up with a heated rivalry coming to head in our next tag team contest. TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION DUSTY RHODES** & MIKE ROTUNDA defeated ONE MAN GANG***** & BRADSHAW***A brutal grudge match, as expected, in the tag contest. Bradshaw and Gang opened the match with a vicious double'team on Dusty, doing some damage, but the tables turned when Gang missed a 747. Rhodes tagged out to Rotunda, who took over on both men! Rotunda floored Bradshaw with a big right hand, sending him rolling out of the ring. With Bradshaw out of commission, Rhodes and Rotunda went to work on Gang. Gang was left to fend for himself, and Rotunda locked him up in an agonizing Abdominal Stretch! Gang was gassed, and Dusty came into the match and went to work with the Bionic Elbow, opening a small cut over Gang's left eye. Gang went to the arena floor, brawling furiously with Rhodes until Bradshaw finally came in from behind and dropped Dusty with a Big Boot. Bradshaw rolled Dusty back into the ring, but Big Dust powered out of an attempted spinning neckbreaker and caught Bradshaw in the Weaverlock! After a brief struggle, Bradshaw tapped out and quickly rolled out of the ring. After the decision, Bradshaw berated Gang and called for the microphone.Bradshaw: You big oaf! What on God's green earth am I paying you for? Have you even won a match since I brought you here? You are here for one reason- to take out Mike Rotunda- and you ain't gettin' the job done! So you know what I am gonna do? I am issuing an open invitation to anybody in the Federation- $20,000 to the man who can come to the Heartland and take out Rotunda! Bradshaw throws down the microphone and continues to berate Gang, who storms away from the ring.JR: Well, isn't that a surprise! Bradshaw leaves Gang out there to get bloodied, then comes back into the ring long enough to tap out. But no question, Bradshaw is dangerous and he is resourceful- and he has just upped the ante on Rotunda's bounty and issued an open invitation to anyone in the federation to come take a shot! We'll have to see who comes out of the woodwork. Now, ladies and gentlemen- it is time for our Main Event - a no-disqualification rematch for the Old School Heavyweight Championship!MAIN EVENT: OLD SCHOOL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BOBO BRAZIL**** defeated STAN HANSEN******** by submissionThe title bout was a marathon war of attrition! Bobo battled Hansen all over the arena, exchanging headbutts and lariats until both men were covered in blood. Brazil controlled most of the action, but Hansen took all of his best shots and continued to battle back! It looked like Hansen was done after Bobo nailed him twice with the Coco Butt, but Hansen miraculously kicked out! Hansen rallied and dropped Brazil with a Borger Body Slam, but Hansen was too weak to keep the champion down for the three count. Hansen fought on gamely until Brazil caught him in a massive bear hug. Finally, Hansen weakened to the point where he could no longer respond to the referee, who called for the bell. BOBO BRAZIL RETAINS THE OLD SCHOOL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: That was a fantastic contest! Both these men are covered in blood, and I believe it was the blood loss which caused Hansen to black out at the end of the match. No question, we have just witnessed a titanic battle between two of the roughest men in the history of the sport. Congratulations indeed to Bobo Brazil for an outstanding victory to keep hold of his Old School Heavyweight Championship! This brings an end to tonight's broadcast, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for joining us! The men of Old School will be back in action on New Year's Day, when HCW will present Buckeye Bowl 2012. But fear not- DAYTONDAVE and the Warfare gang will be in action this Wednesday Night. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

You don't want to wait for one of the Supercards? Danielson: I've waited long enough. Make it happen! AJ STYLES emerges from backstage and heads down the aisle, carrying the Heartland title belt. On top of the Ladies' grudge match and the showdown between Daniels and Quackenbush- this will be a terrific night! So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! AUSTIN ARIES defeated SUPER CRAZY*** by submissionThe match started with a bang when Aries jumped Crazy before the opening bell! Crazy tumbled out of the ring, and Aries immediately nailed him with the Heat-Seeking Missile. Crazy never recovered, and within moments Aries locked him up in the Last Chancery and forced him to give it up. Daytondave: That didn't take long! Aries occasionally gets his focus on enough to perform at a high level, and tonight was his night. CHEERLEADER MELISSA pinned TRISH STRATUS***A back-and-forth match between two talented ladies featured multiple reversals and counter-wrestling. The strength of Melissa was the deciding factor. She delivered a pair of devastating Air Raid Crashes, which wore Trish out and enabled Melissa to connect with a Kudo Driver to finish the contest. Daytondave: That Melissa is one tough lady. I bet she is itching for another shot at Melina and the Ladies' title. Christy: Be careful what you wish for! Melina is really tough. She's been Ladies' Champion for over a year now! Daytondave: We'll see how that plays out, Christy. It might be time to recruit some new talent to give Melina a run for the title. TOMMY DREAMER pinned CHRIS HERO*A closely fought bout ended abruptly when Hero crashed awkwardly into the turnbuckle, stunning him. Dreamer rolled him up for a quick three-count. Daytondave: A tough break for Hero in that situation. He and Dreamer were hooked up in a great match when that happened. I'd like to see those two go at it again some time and see what they are really about. All right, fans- this next grudge match has been weeks in the making! Let's take a look at some video of the incident at Heartland Havoc XLII.Footage from Havoc is displayed, featuring a match between BRADSHAW and KILLER KOWALSKI. Kowalski was in control of the bout. JAMES THE ENFORCER headed to ringside to separate Velvet and Traci, who continued to shriek and swing wildly at one another as they were escorted back to the locker room.Christy: You're right, Daytondave. These girls want to tear each other's hair out! GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION TRACI BROOKS (w/ CHRIS JERICHO) pinned VELVET SKY*As predicted, these two ladies got into a brawl before the opening bell, and traded slaps and kicks all over the ring area. Velvet connected with a slap to Traci that nearly knocked her over the security railing! Traci battled back with forearm smashes, and rammed Velvet's head onto the ring apron! Velvet was stunned as she rolled back into the ring, but she caught Traci with a punch to the gut which doubled her over. Velvet went to the ropes for a clothesline, but Traci lunged forward with a Spear and put Velvet down for a three-count! Following the match, Velvet was stunned, and Jericho entered the ring. He handed Traci a tube of lipstick, and Traci drew a huge set of clown lips on Velvet's face! This brought BRADSHAW charging to the ring, but Jericho and Traci quickly scurried out of the ring, leaving Velvet humiliated! Christy ( giggling): Awww... Velvet never looked better! Daytondave: Are you serious? Velvet is a respectable lady! She doesn't deserve to be treated like THAT!!! Christy and Daytondave glare at each other briefly, then both burst into hysterical laughter as Velvet shrieks. Bradshaw uses his hat to cover Velvet's face and quickly escorts her away from ringside.Daytondave: After that bit of amusement, it's time to get back to some serious wrestling! Can CHRISTOPHER DANIELS regain a taste of Heartland glory? He'll need to go through MIKE QUACKENBUSH first. HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH* pinned CHRISTOPHER DANIELS**In a high-flying match, Quackenbush and Daniels soared through the arena with dramatic, high impact moves that thrilled the audience. Action raged inside the ring and out, as Delirious kept watch over both Briscoe Brothers. At one point, Delirious got tangled up with all three of the opponents, until Quackenbush took out the entire group with a flying pescado! Quackenbush took advantage of the chaos, quickly locking Daniels into a Chikara Special on the arena floor! Daniels screamed in agony, as the referee vainly tried to pull Quackenbush away from his foe. Jay and Mark Briscoe finally managed to pry their ally free, but the damage had been done. The referee sent Daniels back into the ring, where Quack was waiting with a Quackendriver! Quackenbush made the cover, and Delirious managed to catch both Briscoes by the legs to prevent them from interrupting the count! Daytondave: How about THAT? Quackenbush pulls out the victory- with the help of his goofy partner! After the match, Daniels knelt in the ring and pounded the mat furiously! The Briscoes looked on, befuddled, as Quackenbush and Delirious celebrated and left the ring area.Daytondave: Another epic fail for Christopher Daniels. I'm afraid the wheels just fell off for this guy. Dude had his shot at the title match, but now it's back to the bottom of the ladder for the Fallen Angel. Daniels finally departs from ringside, accompanied by the Briscoe Brothers. JAMES THE ENFORCER and a battalion of Heartland security guards come to the rampway as the competitors for the Main Event are escorted to the ring.MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP AJ STYLES pinned BRYAN DANIELSON**In a lightning-fast display of aerial prowess, Styles dismantled The Dragon! After a brief struggle, AJ took control and sent Danielson flying with a huracanrana. Styles kept on the attack, following up with a springboard forearm strike. Before Danielson knew what hit him, Styles delivered the Styles Clash and Danielson barely kicked out. AJ wasn't finished, crushing Danielson with a perfectly timed springboard crescent kick! Danielson was practically out on his feet from the force of that blow, and AJ dropped him with a second Styles Clash to score a decisive victory. AJ STYLES RETAINS THE HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPDaytondave: Dude is at the top of his game! Without a doubt, Styles just DOMINATED a terrific opponent to keep hold of the belt. Congratulations to my man AJ for a great match- and a great 2011! That's our last match of the year, fans, and it has been a fun run! Thanks for hanging out with us tonight, and throughout 2011. But don't worry- we'll be back in action in 2012, and we will start the year off with a bang! Buckeye Bowl 2012 will take place in Columbus on New Years' Day, with 30 of the top stars from Old School and Warfare getting together for a rumble match that will start the new season with style. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Buckeye Bowl 2012 January 1, 2012 Schottenstein Center, Columbus, Ohio The show opens with JR JAMES in the center of the ring in a formal tuxedo. CHRISTY HEMME is dressed in a Scarlet and Gray cheerleader outfit, shaking her pompoms as the tune "Hang On Sloopy" by the McCoys plays overhead. JR appears confused, looking around the arena. The fans are abuzz, but a hush comes over the crowd as DAYTONDAVE rushes down the aisle. JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Buckeye Bowl 2012! After a very successful 2011, it is our privilege to kick off the New Year with our annual tradition, the Buckeye Bowl! Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night January 7, 2012 (Card #407) Bank of Kentucky Arena, Highland Heights, Kentucky The show opens with the tune, "Old Time Rock 'N Roll" by Bob Seger playing overhead. JR JAMES strides to the ring with a confident smile as the fans cheer the opening of the show.JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to Old School Saturday Night! The New Year is upon us, and the excitement of Heartland Championship Wrestling continues! It is great to be back in the Bluegrass State for another exciting night of action. We have a terrific Main Event in store tonight- after the events of the Buckeye Bowl, KILLER KOWALSKI has challenged his own partner, ANGELO MOSCA, to a match for the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship! These men are allies and close friends, but they came to blows in the heat of the Buckeye Bowl- and tonight they will meet to settle this issue in the ring. Also at the Buckeye Bowl, we learned of the disappearance of CHRISTOPHER DANIELS, former Heartland and FLW World Heavyweight Champion. Daniels has been mentally unstable since losing his World Title, and he was last seen at the FLW pay-per-view: How the FLW Stole Christmas. Daniels lost his match against ABYSS at that event, and he has not been heard from since! We'll be keeping a close eye on that situation. As JR continues his analysis, the music of BRADSHAW hits the speaker system. JR appears perplexed, then annoyed, when BRADSHAW emerges from backstage, accompanied by VELVET SKY, and strides to ringside with a smirk.Bradshaw: Hey- skinny boy! Aren't you forgetting something? Allow me. Ladies and gentlemen, congratulations to the winner of the 2012 Buckeye Bowl- the Heartland Legend himself, Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad-shaaaaaaaaaaaaw! JR: No question, congratulations are in order to Mr. Bradshaw on his victory in the Buckeye Bowl. Tell me, sir- will you be challenging for the Old School Heavyweight Championship at Dawn of Destiny? Bradshaw: We'll see about that. 2012 will be the Year of JBL- mark my words! JR: How are you preparing for the big night? Bradshaw: First things first, JR. Before I decide which gold belt to bring home at Dawn of Destiny, I have some unfinished business to complete with Mike Rotunda. JR: You're still on the trail of Rotunda? That has not been one of your more successful endeavors, particularly after the debacle involving the One Man Gang. Bradshaw: Never mind that, JR. Tonight, I will bring back the man who will destroy Mike Rotunda once and for all. A man from his past. A demon, whose fury knows no bounds. JR: Strong words from the former leader of the organization formerly known as The Pinnacle. But Mike Rotunda has stood his ground in this feud, and has surrounded himself with capable allies. If this "demon" from Rotunda's past doesn't finish off Rotunda, no question that Bradshaw will become the laughing stock of the Heartland. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! THE MOUNTIE pinned LARRY HENNIG***Mountie opened the match with a sneak attack on Hennig and took the early advantage. He did some damage before Hennig was able to turn the tables for a brief rally. But when action shifted to the arena floor, Mountie blocked Hennig's attempt to smash his head into the steel ring steps, and sent Larry face first into the post. Hennig was out of it, and Mountie returned to the ring to finish the match with a short choke slam. JR: A fine performance indeed for the Canadian Mountie! We'll see what comes about later this evening when his two best friends go to battle in our Main Event. THE NEW ZEALAND SHEEPHERDERS (BUTCH MILLER*** & LUKE WILLIAMS*) defeated THE ARMSTONGS (BRAD*** & BOB***)The Herders dominated the majority of this bout, but the Armstrongs survived and kept after their opponents. The crowd lit up when Brad planted both the Sheepherders with Russian Leg Sweeps, but Luke saved Butch from being pinned and the Herders regained control. A double-team Battering Ram from the Kiwis finally put Brad down for the three-count. JR: What a fabulous tag team bout. No question, the Sheepherders were dominant in that confrontation, but both of the Armstrongs took a lot of punishment and kept battling to the finish. Congratulations to both team for an outstanding match! As the referee prepares the ring for the next match, MIKE ROTUNDA emerges from backstage. As he moves down the ramp, a masked figure dressed in black slips behind him and nails him in the back with a foreign object! Rotunda goes down, but clickly rolls away as the demon swings the object again. DUSTY RHODES and BARRY WINDHAM sprint to the scene. The demon quickly pockets the object and dashes away from the scene.JR: You cannot be serious! How stupid does Bradshaw consider Mike Rotunda to be? Of course, he is going to have his allies watching his back. It seems that Bradshaw is about to run out of tricks up his sleeve. We'll see how Rotunda performs in singles action in our next contest. "SUPERSTAR" BILL DUNDEE** pinned MIKE ROTUNDA***A marathon bout between two popular grapplers. Over twenty minutes of back-and-forth action finally came to a close when Dundee connected on the Superstar Bomb. JR: Congratulations to the Superstar for a very competitive win. Rotunda showed no signs of injury after the confrontation which took place prior to the match. Another of the best-laid plans of Bradshaw gone awry. LES THATCHER** defeated DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE*** by submissionAnother beautifully wrestled match with multiple counters and reversals. Page dueled evenly with Thatcher until he missed a running charge into the turnbuckle. With DDP stunned, Thatcher wrapped him up into the Stump Puller and forced him to tap out. JR: Very nicely executed series of manuevers by Mr. Thatcher. He is without question a master of the game of human chess, and on this night he displayed a vast array of counter-wrestling techniques to catch the duke. THE FLYING REDHEADS (BILLY 'RED' LYONS & RED BASTIEN*) defeated NIKOLAI VOLKOFF & IRON SHEIK******After a closely fought match, the Redheads unleashed a furious double-team against Sheik. The Iranian withstood a great degree of punishment before falling to an excellent Atomic Drop from Bastien as Nikolai was unable to interrupt the pin. JR: The Redheads showed a tremendous level of skill in tonight's bout! Their individual and collective talents are a thing of beauty to the wrestling purist. Ladies and gentlemen, before our next bout, The "AMERICAN DREAM", DUSTY RHODES, has asked for time. Come on in, Dusty- what's on your mind? Dusty: Jimmy, my man- Dusty Rhodes has seen enough! Da treacherations of dat skunk Bradshaw ain't never gonna end- until me and my boys put a stop to dem! You took my best friend, STAN HANSEN- and you turned him into a low-down, money-grubbin, pile of manure! Now you bring down this Black Demon- some crazy fool- tryin' to put one over on old Dusty and his friends! You wanna git funky? Why don't you bring your Demon, bring Hansen- and face down with me and my boys for a six-man tag match- IF YOU WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL !!! JR: Oh, my goodness! Dusty has thrown down the gauntlet! He wants a six-man tag match with BARRY WINDHAM & MIKE ROTUNDA! We'll see how Bradshaw responds to that challenge. Meanwhile, let's head back to the ring for our next match. DUSTY RHODES defeated BOOKER T*** by submissionThe match was hard fought, but Rhodes controlled the bulk of the action. He stunned Booker with a Bionic Elbow, and Booker never really regained his bearings. After a hard fight, Dusty caught Booker in the Weaverlock and forced him to give it up. JR: The difference between Dusty Rhodes and a lot of other men- Dusty can talk a big game, but he can indeed back up his words when the occasion calls for it. We'll hear from Bradshaw again next week, I have no doubt. Will he and Hansen and his Demon accept the challenge of Rhodes and his men? All right, fans, it's time for the Main Event! The passion of the Buckeye Bowl brings out the competitive spirit in all of the superstars, and can bring the best of friends to blows. On this occasion, it will be KILLER KOWALSKI and ANGELO MOSCA with the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship on the line! MAIN EVENT: KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP KILLER KOWALSKI** pinned ANGELO MOSCA****A mighty confrontation between two powerful warriors who battled for over 15 minutes. Both men stood their ground, pounding at each other with forearms and body slams. Mosca stunned Kowalski with a loaded elbow pad, but the Killer shocked the fans- and Mosca- when he kicked out of the pin. Kowalski battled back, going to the ropes and to the air to ground Mosca with a series of running shoulder blocks. Mosca absorbed several blows before dropping to the mat. Kowalski went to the Bombs Away Kneedrop and finally put the champion down for the three count! KILLER KOWALSKI WINS THE KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPAfter the decision, Kowalski offered Mosca a hand up. Mosca was red-faced, but accepted the handshake and raised Kowalski's hand in victory as the referee awarded him the title belt.JR: Ladies and gentlemen, history has been made here at Northern Kentucky University! Killer Kowalski has captured the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship! It was a tremendous display of determination and competitiveness by both men, and a great example of sportmanship at the end of the match. A fine ending indeed to a terrific night of action. Ladies and gentlemen, it has been our privilege to present tonight's action. Thank you so much for joining us! We will be back one week from tonight with another broadcast of Old School. The Old School Tag Team Championship will be defended next week, when the champions ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA take on THE VALIANT BROTHERS. And don't forget to tune in Wednesday Night when DAYTONDAVE and his cast of superstars return to action on Warfare. Until then, fans, so long from the Bluegrass State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare January 11, 2011 (Card #408) State Theater, Eau Claire, Wisconsin The show opens with DAYTONDAVE in the center of the ring, dressed in a snappy European suit. The tune, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard plays overhead. CHRISTY HEMME dances in the center of the ring as the fans cheer wildly. Daytondave: Hey, fans! Happy New Year, and welcome back to Wednesday Night Warfare! It is great to be back in the beautiful state of Wisconsin. Winter is headed to the frozen tundra, but Warfare will keep it hot in 2012! As Daytondave continues his introduction, the music of MELINA hits the sound system. The Ladies' Champion appears at the top of the ramp, holding her title belt, scowling as she strides to the ring.Daytondave: Good evening, Melina! You are looking lovely tonight. What's on your mind? Melina: Don't start on me with your sweet talk, Romeo. What were you thinking when you fired my tag team? Daytondave: Mercury and Nitro? Didn't have anything for them. Their feud with Venis and Candido is played out, and they got their butts kicked by the Briscoes. Time to bring in some new talent! Melina: New talent? Who you gonna bring in? There ain't nobody with talent like Melina! I have held this belt for over a year- and you wanna disrespect me and release my tag team? Daytondave: Your guys weren't getting it done. You are a great champion, it's true- but that doesn't give you the power to make the personnel decisions here- especially when it involves your boyfriend. Melina: Oh, no- you did NOT just say that! Don't you disrespect me- or I will take this Ladies' Championship Belt and walk right out of this territory! Daytondave stands silent as the fans boo.Daytondave: What do you want? Melina: What you need to do, Daytondave, is find me some better challengers. CHEERLEADER MELISSA? Please... I have beaten that vaca so many times it ain't funny. You want to keep your Ladies' champion here? This is what you do. Beginning NOW- Melina is the Special Assistant in charge of the Ladies' Division. Daytondave: WHAT?!? I can't put a wrestler in charge of the booking! You're a fine champion, Melina, but you're NO Kevin Nash! Melina: My final offer, homeboy. I am in charge of the Ladies, or I walk out that door and follow Johnny to a new territory and I take the belt with me. Daytondave sighs.Daytondave: You win. Can we get on with the show? Melina: Your guys can have one match. I'll be back with an announcement when the first match is over. Daytondave: What did I just get myself in to? All right, fans- you heard it here first. There are going to be some changes in the Ladies' Division, as we will find out later tonight. But we have a lot of great matches planned for the first Warfare of 2012, and some new talent to present. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! 2 COLD SCORPIO pinned KEVIN STEEN*The newly drafted Steen cut an imposing figure in the ring against the smaller but quicker Scorpio. Steen overpowered Scorpio early on, until AL SNOW showed up at ringside for no apparent reason. Steen didn't know what to make of Al and his Head prancing around the ring, but the distraction enabled Scorpio to stun him with a thrust kick! Before Steen could recover, Scorpio went to the top and delivered a crushing Scorpio Splash and scored the pin! As Scorpio celebrated, Snow pulled him aside and led him back to the locker room, chatting the whole way. Steen remained in the ring, mystified. Scorpio looked equally mystified as he and Snow disappeared together.Daytondave: What just happened? Christy: I'm sure that is what the new guy is wondering. Daytondave: When Al Snow is involved, nobody knows what will happen next. I'm equally curious to know what Melina has in mind for the Ladies' Division. Melina- if you are ready- tell is what is happening? BETH PHOENIX and MERCEDES MARTINEZ storm through the curtain and head to the ring. Both appear to be enraged. A referee scurries in, and Beth and Mercedes immediately begin to brawl!BETH PHOENIX pinned MERCEDES MARTINEZ**The fight between these two ladies was intense from the opening bell! Beth pounded away at Mercedes, who did her best to absorb the punishment. Mercedes ducked under a clothesline attempt by Beth, and fired back with a dropkick which sent the blonde diva crashing to the mat. But Mercedes was slow to follow-up, and Beth caught her by the legs and wrapped her into a cloverleaf. Mercedes clawed her way to the bottom rope, forcing the hold to be broken, but Beth kept the pressure on and immediately dropped the Latina Sensation with the Glam Slam and pinned her cleanly. After the match, Melina came to the entry way. Mercedes quickly rolled out of the ring, head in her hands, and ran out through the curtain. Melina smirked and waved as Mercedes passed by. Beth stood in the ring, glaring daggers at Melina until Christy Hemme interrupted.Christy: Melina? What's going on? Melina: Housecleaning. Mercedes Martinez is fired! Daytondave: Fired? Melina: I am in charge of the Ladies now, Daytondave. You said so yourself. Next week- I know the Ladies' #1 Contender's Match is already scheduled. TRACI BROOKS and CHEERLEADER MELISSA. These ladies will both keep their jobs. Besides that, every week in January there will be a ladies' match on Warfare- and the loser gets fired! Daytondave: Are you serious? Fans- my apologies to all the great fans of the Ladies' Division. I should not have let her get away with this. But- Melina is in charge- and the first thing she does is to fire her best friend. Congratulations to Beth Phoenix for winning a tough bout tonight, and keeping her job- for now. Let's get back to the ring for another match. AL SNOW* pinned ULTRAMANTIS BLACK**The newly crowned Tradition Champion did not fare well in his 2012 debut. Ultramantis caught a bad break when he caught Snow with a vicious boot to the head at the turnbuckle, but the referee was caught up in the collision and briefly knocked out of the ring. Ultramantis delivered the Praying Mantis Bomb, but the referee was unable to count the pin and the match continued. Snow retaliated with Multiple Head Butts, stunning Ultramantis. Finally, Snow obliterated the masked man with a Running Spear, just as the referee returned to action to make the three count! Daytondave: Oh! That was a rough match for Ultramantis. The referee was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Snow took advantage of the situation to grab the victory. All right, fans- tonight's first debut was less than stellar. But I am amped for this next match, featuring a brand new tag team coming to Warfare! THE ALL NIGHT EXPRESS (KENNY KING & RHETT TITUS) defeated THE 'IN' CROWD (VAL VENIS* & CHRIS CANDIDO w/ TAMMY SYTCH)King and Titus had the crowd eating out of their hands as they made their flamboyant entrance. Candido and Val were not the least bit happy, and attempted a sneak attack! But Kenny was ready for it, and ducked aside, causing Venis to crash into the turnbuckle. Kenny caught him on the rebound with a flying double knee lift, and quickly made the cover as Candido and Titus brawled. Before anyone in the arena realized what happened, the referee counted three and that the end of that! Daytondave: How about that? The All Night Express scores a surprising win in their Heartland debut. Kenny King is quick as a hiccup, and it will be a fun ride as he and Titus attempt to achieve success in the tag team division. TYLER BLACK** pinned BRENT ALBRIGHT***Best match of the evening so far. Before the match, Tyler was the surprise victim of a backstage attack by ADAM PEARCE! But Tyler fought off the attack, and made it to the ring unharmed. Once the match started. Tyler was a step ahead of Albright for most of the contest, but was unable to put him away. Albright eventually stopped Black with a stiff forearm smash, which enabled him to drop Tyler with the Half Nelson Suplex. But Tyler slipped away before Albright could lock in the Crowbar, and the match continued. Black surpised Albright with a flipping dropkick to put the big man on the canvas, then soared through the sky with a fabulous Phoenix Splash to finish him off for a hard-fought victory. Daytondave: That Phoenix Splash is simply awesome! Tyler Black can beat anybody on the planet if he hits that. But what was up with Adam Pearce jumping on Tyler in the locker room? Dude has been an occasional tag team partner with Albright, but I don't know if that was planned, or if Adam had some other reason for doing that. I guess we'll wait and see. All right, fans- before the Main Event, I have a special announcement. The next Warfare pay-per-view will take place on February 4, back in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center! Heartland Havoc XLIII: Dream On will feature an incredible Main Event! A.J. STYLES will defend the Heartland Heavyweight Championship against MIKE QUACKENBUSH! No doubt, Quackenbush has been on a roll. He has won the FLW Cruiserweight Championship, and he defeated CHRISTOPHER DANIELS in a #1 Contenders' Match to earn his shot at the Heartland Title! It will be Styles vs. Quackenbush at Havoc XLIII with the title on the line! But- following that match- there will be an opening in the #1 contender's position- an opening that will be filled in tonight's Main Event! MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH NIGEL McGUINESS** defeated JERRY LYNN*** by submissionA gritty performance for both men in tonight's Main Event. Lynn came out quickly and had success with his aerial tactics early in the match. Nigel survived the onslaught, and powered his way back after nailing Lynn with the handstand kick off the top turnbuckle. Nigel went to work on Lynn with his arsenal of submission moves, but Jerry refused to give it up. Lynn wrestled his way out of the predicament, then dropped Nigel with a German Suplex which left both men stunned. Nigel made it to hands and knees first, and caught Lynn in the London Dungeon! Lynn was gassed, and forced to give it up after a brief struggle. Daytondave: Great match! Both those dudes left it all in the ring tonight. Congratulations to my man Nigel McGuiness- he is the Heartland's new #1 contender- and he has earned a title match against the winner of the Styles-Quackenbush match at Havoc. No matter which way you slice it, Nigel will put on one helluva match against the man who comes out of Havoc with the belt. All right, fans- we're done here. It's been a great night at Warfare and a great kickoff to 2012! Thanks for hanging out with us. We'll be back next week- with a #1 Contenders' Match in the Ladies' Division! CHEERLEADER MELISSA takes on the hottest newcomer in the Heartland, TRACI BROOKS. You will definitely want to see that match! Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night January 14, 2012 (Card #409) Ellis Johnson Arena, Morehead, Kentucky The show opens with JR JAMES in the center of the ring, holding the microphone. The tune, "Old Time Rock 'N Roll" by Bob Seger plays overhead as the fans cheer the opening of the show.JR: Good evening, fans of Heartland Championship Wrestling, and welcome back to another episode of Old School Saturday Night! It is great to be back on the campus of Morehead State University for another outstanding evening of professional wrestling action. We have a title bout tonight in our Main Event! The Old School Tag Team Championship will be on the line when the champions, ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA, defend the belts against THE VALIANT BROTHERS. We have a great card from start to finish tonight, fans- including the debut of a new wrestler to start things off! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! The tune, "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins plays overhead. Through the curtain comes the imposing figure of MR. SAITO. As Saito stands on the entry way, he is joined byKEN JEONG Jeong: What's uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup?!!!! Ken Jeong is the smartest man on the planet! Ken Jeong is here with Mr. Saito and Mr. Fuji to dominate the Old School! Ken Jeong is here to win championships! To make money! To score some Heartland babes! Ken Jeong is beginning the takeover... tonight!!!! MR. SAITO*** (w/ KEN JEONG) defeated BRAD ARMSTRONG** by submissionSaito and Brad went back and forth until Brad dodged an attempted heel trip and nailed Saito with a clothesline. Armstrong launched a flurry and had Saito reeling until Brad went for the Russian Leg Sweep. Ken Jeong hopped onto the ring apron, but Armstrong clobbered him with a clothesline! Brad went to the top rope to attempt a drop kick, but Jeong scrambled to his feet and shoved Brad off the turnbuckle. Armstrong crashed to the mat, allowing Saito to wrap him up in the Scorpion Leglock. With Jeong taunting at ringside, Brad struggled against the hold but was eventually forced to give it up. After the decision, Jeong grabbed the microphone and went on a rant.Jeong: Ken Jeong is awesome! Ken Jeong is genius! Ken Jeong take Mr. Saito to championship! JR: I cannot believe what I just saw! This Ken Jeong is quite a character indeed. I am somewhat surprised that an honorable and intense man like Saito would align himself with an influence like Ken Jeong, but these are two very dangerous elements which have combined and I expect trouble to follow. THE DESTROYER pinned EXOTIC ADRIAN STREET* (w/ MISS LINDA)The antics continued in the second match. Street pranced about the ring as Destroyer circled him. Miss Linda watched intently, until KEN JEONG pranced to ringside. Jeong laid eyes on Miss Linda and began gyrating and swiveling his hips. Linda scowled at him, and Street began shouting and pointing. Destroyer took advantage of the distraction, catching Street off guard and dropping him with a Sensational Suplex! Destroyer made the cover and earned the three-count before Street knew what hit him. After the decision, Street screamed at Ken Jeong, but Jeong scampered up the aisle to safety.JR: Disgraceful! I cannot believe that a man like this Ken Jeong would disgrace the sacred sport of professional wrestling. It's men like that who give this business a bad name. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE* & BOOKER T battled TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA**** & THE MOUNTIE*) to a double-disqualificationChaos reigned in the tag team division! This match was crazy from the start, as Page and Mosca brawled inside the ring and out. Page got the best of Mosca and dropped him with a Diamond Cutter! But Mountie pulled Page out of the ring to interrupt the pinfall attempt. In the chaos which followed , Mountie managed to retrieve the Shock Stick and deliver a charge to DDP! This enraged Booker, who took the fight to the arena floor and refused to cooperate with the referee's instructions to return to the ring. Both the Canadians were more than happy to let the fists fly, and the match broke down completely. The referee was left with no choice but to call for the bell, and disqualify both teams. Following the decision, Page picked himself up from the concrete and came after Mountie! Mountie and Page erupted into a fierce brawl at ringside. Mosca and Booker also fought, but were quickly separated by the referee. Mountie and Page continued to battle until JAMES THE ENFORCER was summoned from backstage to pull apart the fracas and escort both men back to the locker room.JR: The passions are aflame in the Heartland once again! Diamond Dallas Page just flew into a rage after The Mountie activated his Shock Stick! Both these men are tempermental, and there is no question that we have not seen the end of that animosity. But the animosity does not stop there- our next match pits two men who have been in the ring against one another on many previous occasions. KILLER KOWALSKI** defeated STAN HANSEN**** by disqualificationAnother colossal confrontation between longstanding rivals. Hansen and Kowalski battled for over 15 minutes! Kowalski attempted to wear down Hansen with claw holds and body scissors, but Hansen just kept coming. The Lariat walloped Kowalski with forearms and elbow smashes, but Killer was unbowed. The action spilled out of the ring, where a violent brawl erupted! Hansen floored Kowalski with a Lariat, then shoved the referee to the ground. Hansen continued after Kowalski, but the referee called for the bell and disqualified Hansen for the violation. JR: No surprises there. These two men have been at odds on many occasions and tonight was no different. But in the bigger picture, Stan Hansen is embroiled in his relationship with BRADSHAW and their mysterious new ally, the BLACK DEMON. After the Demon attacked MIKE ROTUNDA last week, Rotunda and his partner, DUSTY RHODES, called out Bradshaw with a challenge for a six-man tag team match! Tonight, we will hear from Bradshaw and his response to that challenge. Let's head backstage, where our man LANNY POFFO is standing by. Lanny: Thanks, JR! I am here tonight with Bradshaw- Bradshaw: Of course you are here with Bradshaw! Isn't that just what JR said? Who else would you be here with? I swear, Poffo- sometimes I don't know who the bigger idiot is- you, for being an idiot, or JR for hiring you. Lanny: So, what is your response to the challenge of Dusty Rhodes? Bradshaw: Of course we will fight Dusty and his little pansies. Any time I can get a crack at bringing down Mike Rotunda, I'm all in. But- there will be a stipulation. You don't just call out a man like me unless you are prepared to do things my way. We'll have a six-man tag match, Poffo- but it will be Elimination Rules. That was, after we take out Rhodes and his boy Windham, little Mikey will be out there all by himself where Demon, Hansen, and myself can pick him apart and finish him off, once and for all. So, you tell JR to book that match for next week- and you tell Rotunda to put his affairs in order. You got that? Bradshaw smirks and struts away from the camera. JR: Well, how about that? Bradshaw has upped the ante- and proposed a match that is much more dangerous indeed for the lives and careers of Dusty and his men. It would be a frightful scene if one of these men found himself in the ring against Hansen and Bradshaw and the Black Demon. But the challenge has been made, and accepted, and next week we will have a match! All right, fans- next up we have a match involving BARRY WINDHAM and THE IRON SHEIK!BARRY WINDHAM pinned THE IRON SHEIK***The Sheik was a step slow, after suffering an injury at the Buckeye Bowl. Windham capitalized, although Sheik put up a good battle. Windham took advantage of his superior mobility and put the Sheik down after a pair of Sweetwater Suplexes. JR: It is a tall task indeed to take down Barry Windham on your best day. Today was not the Sheik's best day. All right, ladies and gentlemen- the time has finally come for tonight's main event tag team championship match! MAIN EVENT: OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ANTONIO INOKI* & GIANT BABA***(c) defeated JIMMY** & JOHNNY*** VALIANTIn a terrific match, the champions survived an intense struggle and managed to hang on to their belts. The contest opened with a long sequence between Johnny and Baba, with neither man able to gain the advantage. Inoki tagged in, and the champions managed to corner Johnny for a pummeling. Baba finally dropped Johnny with the Neckbreaker Drop, and Jimmy was barely able to make the save. When Jimmy finally got into the match, the tide turned. Jimmy pulled out every dirty trick in the book, belting Baba with a foreign object and repeatedly raking his eyes. The brothers annihilated Baba with a double clothesline, and nearly put him down for the count! Baba escaped, and finally managed to make the tag to Inoki. Inoki came into the ring after the hot tag, and blasted Jimmy with a pair of enzuigiris that finally put him down for the count! ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA RETAIN THE OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Congratulations to Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki on a successful title defense! The Valiant Brothers, without question, put up a much better battle than most observers would have anticipated. But the Japanese team retains its titles, and thus brings to an end a fabulous night of Old School wrestling action. It has been our privilege to present this evening's show, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for joining us! We will be back one week from tonight with another broadcast of Old School. Next week will be a colossal Main Event- the six-man elimination tag team match pitting DUSTY RHODES, BARRY WINDHAM, & MIKE ROTUNDA against BRADSHAW, STAN HANSEN, and THE BLACK DEMON. Blood will indeed be spilled when that confrontation takes place. And don't forget to tune in to Warfare this Wednesday night. There will be plenty of action, including the number one contenders' match for the Ladies Championship pitting CHEERLEADER MELISSA against TRACI BROOKS. Until then, fans, so long from the Bluegrass State!
