Warlord (28) v. Magnum Terry Allen (37)
Warlord’s power rules the day from the opening bell. Warlord whips Allen into the corner and charges but Allen counters with an elbow to the face and then immediately hits a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX for the three count (R4/P7).

Yea, i think that would have been an upset if Warlord beat Magnum TA, even though he had a higher seeding..

I agree that the Warlord over Magnum T.A. would be a upset, but it's cool that he did win the match...

thanks for the comments jmelton, cc and nuke. there appears to be a buzz around RVD v. Hutton...
Rob Van Dam (5) w/Bill Alfonso v. Dick Hutton (60)
Interesting clash of styles in this one. Van Dam holds the advantage. There is a referee bump but nothing really happens while the official is down (8 moves). A new official is in and Van Dam’s offense leads to FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH (R6/P5). Hutton counters a deathjump with a boot to the face and then uses a cowboy backbreaker for a 1 count (R8/P1). Van Dam then blocks Hutton’s deathjump with a boot to the face and then mounts the corner for a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH but Hutton gets the shoulder up at 2 (R10/P6). Van Dam then hits another one but Hutton again kicks out (R8/P7). Alfonso cannot believe it. The fans are on their feet as a third FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH ends it (R5/P7). Up next . . . Lou Thesz (2) v Larry Zbyszko (63)

How many Five Star Frog Splashes does it take to pin Hutton? Great match...

@ jmelton - Hutton always proves hard to beat when I use him in my feds
@ kamala - I am really hoping for an Andre - Thesz final
Lou Thesz (2) v Larry Zbyszko (63)
Solid ovation for Thesz from the fans as he makes his way to the ring. Thesz mixes mat wrestling and dropkicks to keep the early advantage. Zbyszko comes back and uses a series of sleepers and knee smashes to keep Thesz on the defensive. A knee smash gives Zbyszko a 1 count (R9/P2). Zbyszko connects with a PILEDRIVER for a near fall (R6/P4). A second PILEDRIVER does not get the job done (R10/P5) and he tries an abdominal stretch but Thesz has a counter (R8/P5). Zbyszko keeps control both in and out of the ring and then hits another PILEDRIVER for a 2 count (R9/P7). Zbyszko traps Thesz in the ropes and hammers away on him drawing heat with each blow. PILEDRIVER. 1, 2, 3! (R6/P8). Thesz is out! The fans are stunned!
Up Next . . . The Crusher (31) v. John Tolos (34)

The Crusher (31) v. John Tolos (34)
The Crusher has the fans solidly behind him as he steps into the ring. He goes to work at the bell and has Tolos immediately on the defensive. Power forearms drop Tolos for a 1 count (R6/P2). Tolos punches his way out of a stomach claw (R9/P3). Tolos catches a break when Crusher mounts the top of the corner and he is able to toss Crusher to the mat. Cockscrew rocks Crusher but the advantage is short lived. Crusher whips Tolos from pillar to post. More power forearms down Tolos for another near all (R8/P4). It is an absolute war after this point with both men trading chokes, punches and forearms in and out of the ring. The end comes when Tolos lays out The Crusher at ringside with a nasty chairshot and earns a disqualification in the process.
