Road to Final Battle was great, especially the big singles wins by the Briscoes and Two Fisted beating War Machine.

Huge triumph for the younger Briscoe in that main event matchup with Martinez... Also great that Cole and Taven emerged victorious in their individual encounters... Affluence BAY-BAY!

TTX , cruefan68 , Pariah - I like the team of Two Fisted and hopefully they have continued success outside of their 6-man championship team with Silas Young. Mark Briscoe got the big main event win against his Punishment rival. Can he do it again against BJ Whitmer? We are about to find out! Thanks for following along guys (you too walkswithwolf )!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 31 Delirious def. Cheeseburger by pin Delirious brutalized his former student from the Ring of Honor Dojo, including letting loose two blasts of Red Mist. Matt Taven def. Raymond Rowe by pin Taven was too nimble for Rowe to gain any kind of advantage. Though he was able to absorb some of Matt’s early offense, Ray was put down with a Climax for the pin. After the match, ROH World Champion Adam Cole joined his Affluence teammate Taven in the ring. “I came out here to say something,” Cole began. “I want you to hear this Young Bucks.”The crowd noise grew at the mention of the Bucks and a ‘Too Sweet’ chant started, irritating Cole to no end. “Yeah, yeah, keep cheering for those two idiots. Pretty soon you won’t have much to cheer about. You see Matt, Nick - Taven and I will be watching your upcoming tag team title match very closely. Those belts are rightfully ours. And we blame you for them not being around our waists right now.”Before Cole could speak any further, ROH producer Veda Scott came out. She got in the ring and asked for the mic from the visibly perturbed champion. “Adam, I’ve been trying to track you down backstage all night. I get the feeling you’re avoiding me,” Veda accused, looking over the rim of her glasses like a disapproving school teacher. Adam, face squinched up, shook his head, as if it was a ridiculous assumption. “Well, whatever the case may be, we’re here now and I have to bring this up. Again. The office wants to meet with you to renew your contract…”Cole interrupted. “What? You want to do this now? Come on, Veda!”“Adam, you’re the Ring of Honor World Champion. The company wants to make sure we have you under contract going into next year.”“Ok, ok. I’ve got a lot going on, Veda. Matt and I are trying to get our tag team titles back, I’m defending my world championship. Paperwork is not on my mind right now.”Veda stood firm, her full attention on the next words coming out of Cole’s mouth. “Listen,” Cole conceded. “Let me get through this next month, I’ll defend my title at Final Battle, then I’ll be in the office the first thing that Monday morning. Sound good?”Veda was listening intently, maybe hearing a little bit of condescension at the end of Cole’s statement. “This needs to be taken care of, Adam.”Cole nodded his head and it seemed to pacify Veda’s concern. As she left back up the aisle, Cole and Taven looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Ring of Honor presents Survival of the Fittest coming to you live on iPPV in three weeks! The annual tournament takes place in San Antonio, Texas, with the traditional prize of the winner receiving a shot at the ROH World Championship! The first names announced for the tournament are: Chris Sabin Dalton Castle Joey Daddiego “Hangman” Adam Page More names to be announced in the weeks to come! BJ Whitmer def. Mark Briscoe by pin Briscoe was coming off an impressive victory against Whitmer’s Punishment stablemate, Damien Martinez. There was a brief brawling exchange with Whitmer countering Mark and taking the advantage. Mark was in trouble early, kicking out of pin attempts after a wicked lariat and a Wrist Clutch Exploder twice, as well as having to escape a Peruvian Necktie submission. Despite the absence of Kevin Sullivan at ringside, BJ was in total control and pinned a shaken Mark after a buckle bomb. Post match, Whitmer invited commentator Steve Corino to get in the ring and take a shot at Briscoe, motioning for Steve to use the Golden Spike he gave him a few weeks back. Corino did his best to ignore BJ. " Do you still have that thing?” Kevin Kelly entreated of his broadcast partner. “Steve, where is that Golden Spike?!”

Thoroughly enjoying the cloud of intrigue brewing around Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!) and curious to find out what this might mean for the future of Affluence... And ROH as a whole... Awesome stuff, as always!

The interaction between Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!) and Veda Scott was great. I love the contract tension surrounding the ROH World champion. Big win by BJ Whitmer over Mark Briscoe and the mystery surrounding Steve Corino and that Golden Spike continues...

TTX , Pariah , cruefan68 - Thanks for commenting guys! Veda Scott just wants what's best for ROH. Like making sure their world champion is under contract. It's just as simple as that. Ok... No, it's not. Here's some more.
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 32 Kazarian def. Joey Daddiego by pin An excellent back and forth contest opened the show, with Kazarian getting the win with a Flux Capacitor. Dalton Castle def. Damien Martinez w/Kevin Sullivan by DQ The flamboyant Castle squared off against the ominous Martinez. Dalton took some lumps but avoided enough of Damien’s offense to get in some moves of his own. As Castle began to build momentum, Martinez resorted to using a steel chair to slow his opponent’s roll. A disqualification followed. Kevin Sullivan wrangled his charge, who wanted to inflict more damage. Survival of the Fittest is live on iPPV in two weeks from San Antonio. With an ROH World Championship match as the prize, expect the competition to be heated. Mark Briscoe Damien Martinez BJ Whitmer & Shane Taylor join Chris Sabin, Dalton Castle, Joey Daddiego, and Adam Page with more names announced next week! ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPThe Young Bucks def. All Night Express(c) by pin Affluence’s Matt Taven joined Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino on commentary and took every opportunity to talk smack about Matt and Nick Jackson: “These Young Bucks. Can you believe I used to be on the same team as these two jerks? But we know who the real talent in the House of Truth was. Right, fellas?”The Bucks won the last meeting between these two teams, a Proving Ground match, to earn this title opportunity. Matt Jackson tried to open the bout with a slap to the face of Titus but Rhett dodged and fired back with a big right hand. Titus then put Matt in a headscissors that saw Matt comedically try to escape only to be put back in the hold. Once Matt finally got free, he was immediately driven into the canvas with Rhettribution for a long two count. Kenny King tagged in and hit a big spinebuster before going to the top rope. Matt caught Kenny with a superkick as he came down and went for a cover. King kicked out at two and Matt tagged in Nick. The Brothers Jackson connected with More Bang For Your Buck, winning the tag team titles for a second time. Matt Taven stood up and removed his headphones and began to heckle the new ROH World Tag Team Champions. The Bucks fired back, taunting him with their newly won belts and ‘Suck It’ crotch chops. ROH World Champion Adam Cole came out to back up his partner and got on the mic. He demanded that he and Taven get a title shot. “In fact, since I have an opening on next week’s show, we can do it then.”The Bucks were dismissive and Cole and Taven got into the ring to confront them. ROH Television producer Veda Scott made her way to the ring before hostilities could ensue. Cole adopted a cockier attitude and told the Bucks that the match he wanted was about to be made and that they could kiss those belts goodbye. Veda was about to burst his bubble. “Actually, Adam,” she began. “You do have a match scheduled for next week.”“What?!” Cole exclaimed. “I’ve beat everybody. There’s no one left. Now I need to get the tag titles back.”“No, Adam. You have a match scheduled next week. Against Jay Briscoe.”The crowd popped and before Cole could reply, Briscoe’s music played and Jay stepped through the curtain, fired up with the fans totally behind him. The Bucks cleared out as Jay stalked ringside. He got a mic and waited for the crowd noise to die down. “Hey. Hey. Adam Cole. I think you got it all wrong. See… You never beat me.”The cheers flared up again, Jay nodding his head. “And another thing.” Jay paced back and forth contemplatively. “I think maybe it’s time for me to get another crack at that ROH World Championship.” A “Man Up!” chant started and Cole was waving off the idea. However, Veda had a look on her face that said she might think that was a good idea. “Well, Adam, you haven’t defended the championship in, what, almost three months? And Jay Briscoe would be a great challenger. I mean, he’s been in this company since Day One and I can see him being a top draw in Ring of Honor for years to come.”Worry was all over Cole’s face. “Veda, what are you doing?” he asked, under his breath. “You know what?” Veda continued. “I’m going to think about this and let everyone know what I decide before the match next week. But Adam, if I were you, I would prepare for maybe your strongest challenge to date.”Veda was all smiles as she took her leave. Cole was dumbfounded and Taven failed to console him. Meanwhile, Jay Briscoe licked his lips and looked up into the ring at Cole, like a predator unto prey.
