Pariah , TTX , cruefan68 - The new season started with a bang (except for the fizzling Briscoes) and Veda Scott's involvement with Punishment is now out in the open. The ramifications of this may lead in unexpected directions. Keep reading and commenting, as there will be more to talk about real soon. Thanks! Posted on Ring of Honor Wrestling's Facebook page: Affluence is dead. (ROH World Television Champion Jay Lethal is backstage stretching when a sweaty and frantic Matt Taven interrupts his warm up) Taven - “Jay! They almost got me, Jay! And... what happened between you and Adam - I get it. I don’t hold it against you. But Affluence has to stick together! Or we could both go down!”(Lethal looks at Taven with disgust.) Lethal - “Affluence is dead, Taven. You better get used to it. And you better stay out of my way.”(Lethal walks away leaving Taven looking like a lost puppy dog)

Pariah , TTX - Yes boys, it looks like Jay Lethal is striking out on his own. And I'm sure if you ask him, it's been a long time coming. Now it's time for another television episode that I'm sure you will find eventful. Thanks for following!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 2 Kazarian def. Chris Sabin by pin Kazarian pulled off a big win in the exciting opener when he hit Fade To Black for the pin. “Hello once again, everyone. Ian Riccaboni here. A little while back, I began presenting a series of reports dealing with Kevin Sullivan and Punishment, exploring their actions in Ring of Honor and trying to get to the bottom of why they were doing what they were doing. I began a revealing conversation with Kevin Sullivan but unfortunately the plug was pulled by a certain Ring of Honor producer before we could get to the heart of Sullivan’s motivations. Now, thanks to Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff stepping in, we have permission to air more of that conversation. I think you will find it quite illuminating.”--- PUNISHMENT - Dark Retribution: The Lost Segment “Mr. Sullivan, I have to pose this question to you - why are you doing this? Is someone putting you up to it?”
“You know, Ian, you might not believe me when I tell you but we’re doing this for the ROH fans. They are being betrayed. All these guys they’re putting on a pedestal? They don’t care about Ring of Honor or the fans. We are protecting this company and the ROH title from those who would parlay it into a career elsewhere. ROH makes stars. Isn’t that one of your catch phrases?”
“'Creating Excellence'.” “Right. These stars make their names here. Yet, at the drop of a hat, will leave looking to greener pastures. Well, let me tell you something, Ian. Those pastures won’t be so green because they’ll be criss-crossed with wheelchair marks. You want to leave the Ring of Honor, you’ll leave it a broken man. We’ll see to that.” --- “Well, folks, I think you can now see some of the twisted motivation behind Punishment. But some questions still remain. With the revelation that Veda Scott has been aiding Sullivan from within the ROH office, it is still unclear who is the master and who is the pawn. At this point we may never know. But if there are answers to be found, I’ll be sure to bring them to you right here on Ring of Honor Television.”Rhett Titus def. Cheeseburger by pin Titus took it to Cheeseburger in this totally one sided contest, finishing him with a Muff Driver. Ring of Honor comes to you from Concord, NC for Honor Reigns Supreme! Scheduled to appear: Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Adam Page & Joey Daddiego Silas Young vs. Rhett Titus Jay Lethal Matt Taven Kazarian Chris Sabin and more. Following the break, the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions, Two Fisted, made their entrance. Silas Young, Adam Page, and Joey Daddiego took their time getting into the ring. All three were surly as they interacted with the fans at ringside. There was an uptick in enthusiasm as Kenny Omega and Roppongi Vice, together known as Infernal Affairs, made their way out to challenge for the titles. Kenny Omega made a double take as someone in the front row caught his attention. Kenny’s demeanor became subdued at that point. Ian Riccaboni, flying solo on commentary this night, clarified who it was that Omega recognized. “I could be mistaken, folks, but no... that is Jay White at ringside! For those of you that don’t know, Jay White and Kenny Omega have had a rivalry going on in Japan for a few months now. It looks like it might spill over here stateside.”ROH WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPInfernal Affairs (Kenny Omega & Roppongi Vice) def. Two Fisted(c) (Silas Young , Adam Page & Joey Daddiego) by submission Obviously distracted, Omega left himself open to Silas’ opening salvo. Kenny bailed to the floor where he regained his composure and got the upper hand against Young. Omega executed a One Winged Angel but Silas kicked out at the last moment. Rocky Romero tagged in and he and Beretta combined for Strong Zero. Young kicked out once again. Rocky connected with a jumping high knee and followed with a Diablo Armbar. Silas made the ropes for the break. RPG isolated Young and hit Strong Zero again with Daddiego coming in for the save. Romero caught Silas in the Diablo Armbar a second time. Silas held out for a while but eventually had to tap out. Infernal Affairs became the new ROH World Six-Man Tag Team champions. Omega and RPG celebrated with the title belts as Page and Daddiego saw to their wounded partner. Apparently not appreciating Two Fisted’s continued presence, Omega grabbed his broom and started clobbering them with it. As expected, Jay White jumped the guard rail and cleared the ring but failed to get his hands on Omega. He looked for someone to give him a microphone. “Kenny Omega, I’ve chased you here to Ring of Honor and you’re still too much of a coward to face me. But you know what? I like it here. I think I might stay for a while.” The crowd popped and Jay continued. “And if you ever decide to show your face around here again, maybe to defend those titles, I’ll be right here waiting for you.” Omega had an exaggerated tantrum at ringside, kicking the barricade and pretending to be held back by Romero and Beretta.

I'm liking the build to Kenny Omega vs. Jay White, "The Cleaner" vs. "Switchblade" in ROH, love it. Big win by Kazarian over Chris Sabin as well.

cruefan68 - The build up for Omega/White will be a slow burn as Kenny spends most of his time in Japan. So, hopefully it will be worth the wait. In the meantime, I would like to see White make his mark in ROH. Thanks for following and commenting! Now, back to some business at hand... Posted on Ring of Honor Wrestling's Facebook page: (Jay Lethal is backstage and runs into his next challenger for the ROH World Television Championship, Christopher Daniels) Daniels - “Well, well, well. How’s it going, champ? Can I call you champ? At least until after next week, right?”Lethal - “Not so fast, Daniels! I’ve already lodged a complaint with Ring of Honor. You lost a match that meant you would never be able to get in the ring with Affluence again. There’s no way you should be getting a shot at this belt!”Daniels - “But Jay, there is no more Affluence. You said so yourself last week. So there’s nothing to stop me from taking that TV title from you. Not Adam Cole, not Matt Taven. It’s going to be just you and me. See you next week… ‘champ’.”

Looks like Lethal might regret severing ties with Affluence (Bay-Bay!) as the Fallen Angel comes after the ROH TV title...
Thoroughly enjoyed that 'missing footage' segment and although somewhat disturbing, one could argue there was some truth contained in Sullivan's explanation... And so the question remains -- Who is next to be Punished?

Pariah - Thank you for your support as always. Who is going to be punished next? You're about to find out. And the answer is guaranteed to surprise you!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 3 Dalton Castle def. Shane Taylor by DQ “Notorious” Shane Taylor made a good showing, controlling a majority of the match with his size advantage. However, he was disqualified on the floor for failing to obey the referee’s instructions. Taylor showed his frustration at another loss by flipping over the timekeeper’s table. Returning from break, ROH COO Joe Koff was in the ring. He didn’t mince words as he demanded Kevin Sullivan make an appearance. Accompanied by Damien Martinez, Sullivan came out to the ring, his wary eyes trying to ascertain what Koff was up to. “Kevin, I reviewed Mr. Martinez’s contract and you are right. He's locked in. I can’t get rid of him if I tried. But you, on the other hand, have no such contract. As a matter of fact, you don’t even work for Ring of Honor. So, as of now, you are barred from any and all Ring of Honor events. You are not allowed in any building Ring of Honor runs, starting now. Security, escort him out!”Sullivan struggled as security grabbed him. Martinez looked to come to his aid but Koff stood in his way pointing a finger at him, no selling the big man’s intimidating presence. Joe and the stunned fans watched as the leader of Punishment was dragged off. Once the ruckus died down, Koff continued. “As for Veda Scott, she is relieved of any duties for the company until her settled upon contract expires.” A cheer rose up from the crowd. “And you, Mr. Martinez, while you may have a favorable contract, it does not guarantee you appearances. You are suspended indefinitely and if I so decide, you’ll spend the rest of your contract watching ROH from home. Last but not least, BJ Whitmer, wherever you’re skulking, if you show your face around here again, you’ll answer for your actions.”The crowd cheered as Koff departed and Ian Riccaboni was beside himself, fluctuating between disbelief and jubilation. Kenny King def. Will Ferrara by pin King, who was looking to work his way back into TV title contention, had his hands full with Ferrara. Will was impressive in this competitive match and looked like he had it in the bag but Kenny reversed his fortunes with with a Royal Flush for the win. Ring of Honor is in Concord, NC next week for Honor Reigns Supreme! Here is the scheduled line up: Christopher Daniels, Jay Lethal, and Kenny King collide in a triple threat match! Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Adam Page & Joey Daddiego Silas Young vs. Rhett Titus Matt Taven vs. Will Ferrara Kazarian vs. Shane Taylor Chris Sabin vs. Dalton Castle And the Ring of Honor debut of Jay White! ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPChristopher Daniels def. Jay Lethal(c) by pin Daniels earned this title match with a win in a four-way #1 contenders match at Final Battle. Lethal’s protests to deny the challenger this match had fallen on deaf ears. Despite the animosity between the former Affluence teammates, they adhered to the Code of Honor. “The Fallen Angel” struck quickly with an enzuigiri, trying for the flash pin but the champion kicked out. Daniels kept the pressure on, chaining together some slick offense. Lethal tried using dirty tactics but failed to take an advantage. Daniels hit a sudden Angel’s Wings for the easy pin, becoming the new ROH World Television Champion.

Great win for Daniels... That's what you get for turning your back on Affluence (Bay-Bay!) -- Is Lethal rethinking his position?
And speaking of positions... ROH management puts the brakes on Sullivan's quest for supremacy... Punishment gets punished -- Well how do you like them apples?
Truly entertaining!
