The original Jim Crocket Sr. Memorial Tag Team Tournament captured the imagination of the wrestling world in 1986 as teams from around the globe clashed in a single elimination tournament. The Road Warriors downed Ronnie Garvin & Magnum Terry Allen to win the cup and the million dollar prize in the first annual tournament. Sadly, the following years did not live up to the first tournament and the tournament was gone after crowning three winners. Now, the Crocket Cup returns as 24 of the best Teams in Legends of Wrestling will be invited to compete in a single elimination tournament. The winner will lay claim to the title of the best team in LOW.
Coming the first week of June

I used to love the Crocket Cups. It was always cool to see different teams from around the country (or world). Looking back now as a smark, the outcomes were predictable but the shows are still great.
Looking forward to it Bookerbill!

@ Kamala: thank you for continued feedback during the three previous 64 man tournaments. Glad to see you are going follow along this time as well
@ Daytondave: thanks for the comment. Your alternative DQ charts etc are one of the most creative items I have come across on the board
@ Nick_Nuke: there might be some controversy in the selection process. Hopefully the field produces some competitive bouts
@ aceldamas: from one smark to another, I hope the tournament will recapture a little of the magic from back in the day
@ horrorshow: there have been several requests over the past couple of years to do a tag team version of my 64 man tournament. I have actually drawn up a list of teams every year but this is the first time I am going to let the dice roll.
The following are the top four seeds of the tournament. These will part of the 8 teams that will receive opening round byes.
1. Road Warriors 2. Fabulous Kangaroos 3. Miracle & Violence Connection 4. Jimmy Snuka & Don Leo Jonathan

@ aceldamas: They had a run in the mid seventies I believe held the regional tag straps in Vancouver at one point. Snuka had so many possible partners I did not know who to choose. Ray Stevens, Terry Gordy, Bruiser Brody and even Andre The Giant were possibilities.
Here are the balance of the teams with opening round byes
5. Midnight Express: 6. Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens 7. Sabu & Rob Van Dam 8. Giant Baba & The Destroyer
