This will be a fed based on the independent action in Ontario and will use the colour indy sets.
2013.12.01 – Alpha 1 Wrestling –Knights of Columbus Hall, Hamilton, Ontario – “Watching the Throne 2”
Greg Excellent v. Cedrick the Hitman: The Hitman works the crowd for some cheap heat as he makes his way to the ring. The Hitman looks impressive early on with a series of suplexes on his larger opponent. There was plenty of brawling in this one as you would expect in a bout between these two and the action at ringside has the fans roaring. Hitman survives a TIGER DRIVER mid-way through the bout. Excellent does colour after eating the ring post at ringside but brawls his way back into control and get the win with a second TIGER DRIVER. Solid opener. ** ½
The Motor City Madmen (Rhino & Jimmy Jacobs) v. C & C Wrestle Factory (Cedrick Alexander & Caprice Coleman): Alexander and Coleman wrestle a very tight match from the opening bell first against Rhino and then against Jacobs. A suplex/senton combo rocks the fans and crushes Jacobs but C & C crash and burn with a C & C CONNECTION COMBO which allows Rhino into the action. The Man Beast takes Coleman to the floor and crushes him with a GORE! sending Coleman through the ringside barrier! With the crowd on their feet chanting, the referee reaches ten and your winners by count out are the MCM. **
Sami Callihan v. Drake Younger: The ringside barrier is somewhat repaired and we are underway. There is intensity in the air as these two lock up. Callihan is spot on with his suplexes tonight. Younger is game however especially when the action goes to the floor and that is where the bout ends as Callihan is disqualified when he cracks Younger with a chair shot. Both men brawl back to the dressing room with the fans cheering each blow. * ½
Zero Gravity Title Match Joey Ryan (ch) v. Adam Cole (ROH): Ryan draws some fantastic heat as he comes out to the ring. There is real solid pace to this one early on as the action goes back and forth. Things pick up with Ryan’s suicide dive to the floor and take off from there. Cole catches Ryan mounting the corner and tosses him to the mat before mounting the turnbuckle himself for a perfect FLYING CROSSBODY to capture the title [CAT’S EYES]. *
The Tribe come to the ring for an interview and tell the fans that they have to Alpha 1 to look for some competition. The Motor City Madman come to ringside and tell The Tribe they are the competition in Alpha 1. The Tribe challenge them to a match at the next card but the Madman just attack The Tribe kicking off a wild brawl that makes its way to the dressing room.
Tommaso Ciampa v. Davey Richards: Richards looks very intense tonight and focused on the task at hand. Ciampa is able to counter some early offense but Richards takes over. An Alarm Clock stuns Ciampa and the action goes to the floor. Richards unleashes a series of kicks on the floor as the referee attempts to get the match back into the ring. Richards shoves the official to the floor and keeps attacking. The bell sounds and Richards has been disqualified. The fans are not pleased with the call as Ciampa retreats to the back with a victory in hand. dud
Roderick Strong v. Nick Madrid: No one gave Madrid much as chance in this one and certainly the early action did belong to Strong. Madrid manages to counter a deathjump cross body block into a power slam for a stunning near fall. RUNNING OF THE BULLS gave Madrid a second near fall and suddenly we have a match. The action went back and forth from that point with the fans really into the action. Strong crushed any hope of possible upset with back to back Death by Rodericks and then covered Madrid for three count. **
Collegiate Sports Inc (Tim Donst (Mt. Rush) & The World’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas)) v. El Generico (ROH), Willie Mack & 2 Cold Scorpio: Tim Donst leads the A-1 Tag Team Champions to the ring to solid heat. Some real solid action between these two sides from the opening bell onwards. Both sides were able to make smart tags early on but eventually Donst found himself in some trouble but he managed to battle out of a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! before Generico planted him with a SPIKE BRAINBUSTER for a 2 ½ count. The World’s Greatest Tag Team turned things around and Generico had to save Mack after the LEAP OF FAITH. The match was very much back and forth from this point onwards until Mack caught Haas with a MDX. Haas could not recover and Mack picked up the pin after a Samoan Drop. The team of Generico and Mack get a big win over the Tag Team Champions. ** ½
Alpha Male Title Match - Claudio Castagnoli (Chik) v. Eddie Edwards: Edwards has the fans behind him during the introductions and starts strong with a solid attack including a sitout F5 that shakes the ring. Edwards immediately hits DIE HARD. Suddenly Ares comes out of the crowd and attacks Edwards. The bell sounds and Castagnoli has been disqualified. Edwards is getting beat down when Davey Richards arrives with a chair in hand to save his American Wolf partner. Dud
