A serious lack of talent, coupled with an inability to develop characters has now led to dissolving what could have been one of the legendary factions of all time,in addition to ruining one of the very, very few things worth watching every week. I hope the stock continues to plummet and the ratings continue to slip until you're forced to address the 350 pound gorilla in the room...it's the WRESTLING that makes the ENTERTAINMENT. Maybe HHH needs to drag his sorry ass out of the ring once and for all and get in front of the drawing board! At this rate, I hope nobody else gets called up from NXT, as it has become the BETTER program to watch. And please, please, please let Batista's "quitting" last night be legit. Sorry, needed to get that off my chest!

Well played! Could not have said it better. There was no reason for the breakup, no build up to it. Kinda like Dark Shadows got in its last couple of years, lets throw it up there and see if it sticks. This is what happens when you have tv writers and people who do not understand that psychology of the fans.

I knew they would break up but no build up no nothing? At least if they lost at the PPV they could have ran with that but no they won in a clean sweep
Makes no sense at all

What if Rollins is joining Evolution as a 'spy' to break them up from the inside. Rollins and Ambrose took the beatings to let Rollins show his loyalty to Evolution.
Just a thought.

Wishful thinking It all goes back to the Cornette Rule. "HHH is not the guy who draws money. He's the guy who works with the guy who draws money." Rather than let the Evolution story line die its proper death, and rather than let the Shield story line build with the appropriate intrigue (if at all), HHH wakes up on Monday morning the same way as usual... "How can I put myself over today?"

I think WWE considers "over with the crowd" and "run its course" as interchangeable.
Unless it involves John Cena, of course.

Let's just overlook that Rollins WALKED OUT ON THEM in the second match with the Wyatt Family in Chicago a few months ago. Yeah, they didn't tease him being the one who was going to leave the faction at all. They did this with no build whatsoever. I hope the stock continues to plummet and the ratings continue to slip until you're forced to address the 350 pound gorilla in the room...it's the WRESTLING that makes the ENTERTAINMENT. Yeah, it's not like their three hour show on Monday usually has two matches that get a good amount of time and a few squashes on top of that. Their Tuesday night show totally isn't focused on wrestling, just like their Thursday show isn't focused on wrestling and their Friday show which is mostly wrestling..,well that's just SmackDown so we're going to pretend it doesn't exist. Hell, for a time they had a Saturday morning show with wrestling on it too, so where's the complaint that they don't put enough wrestling on TV? Does every show need to be like a Pay-Per-View with several 10+ minute matches for people to be happy? If they did that, people would just moan about the PPVs. Then again, this is what the Monday Night War did to pro wrestling. Make people expect weekly PPVs and devalue the shows that should be the money makers. Maybe HHH needs to drag his sorry ass out of the ring once and for all and get in front of the drawing board! Well if Vince would let him do what he wants with the product (ie take it back to where everyone has an angle and the shows have a better flow to them), he probably would! At this rate, I hope nobody else gets called up from NXT, as it has become the BETTER program to watch. No argument there, NXT is awesome. And please, please, please let Batista's "quitting" last night be legit. I hope he comes back and wins the title just because he pisses everyone off. Sorry, needed to get that off my chest! As did I. High five me, bro. What if Rollins is joining Evolution as a 'spy' to break them up from the inside. This is actually a pretty plausible theory. I'd like them to go with this, which means that on Monday they're going to have some batshit crazy reason Rollins turned instead of going with a logical explanation like this.

I've heard the Evolution spy theory from a few places, and it does seem plausible. For now there needed to be some shakeup with the Shield, as there was really no one else for them to face. In the meantime it gets Rollins over more on his own, as he was a 3rd wheel of that team and allows Reigns and Ambrose to develop their characters more as individuals as well. I'm fine with the breakup, if only temporarily.
