I love when those of you who watch the East Coast feed post on here. Let's me know when not to watch.
I have a pile of CZW DVDs for just such occasions!

Didn't even make it to 10pm this week. RAW is yawning.

While this wasn't the greatest Raw of late. I am really starting to get annoyed with the Pop up commercials that are happening during the matches and entrances. The show is three hours long with roughly 40-60 minutes worth of commercials already. Are they really that desperate for funds right now?

Funny, you would think that if they wanted to run a 3 hour infomercial trying to get people to order the network to see summer slam, they might have advertised at least 1 of the guys in the main event as showing up? Fortunately, I missed last night's show, but from what I read, neither Cena nor Lesnar was there?
Do the budget cuts now prohibit the top guys from being shown on "free" TV? It's just like when I was a kid and you had to spend the money on a ticket to see Hogan!
I will NEVER understand this company...

What small amount of wrestling they had was pretty good. But it was a shame the episode was largely an informercial for the network and SS. I guess VKM felt we needed to see the Cena/Lesnar promo more than once.

I guess VKM felt we needed to see the Cena/Lesnar promo more than once. I agree with your comments and it did feel like a really long infomercial. I enjoyed the in-ring stuff, I liked Jericho vs. Harper and Ambrose vs. ADR, but the show dragged thanks to the overhype. The Cena-Lesnar promo was nicely done but there was really no need to show it twice. Everyone thought that going to three hours could give more exposure to the lower and mid-card talent and in some ways it has but most of the added time on the show is going to commercials and hype. I swear I fall asleep by hour three almost every week. I may be an old man now lol but I never fall asleep watching other shows. I love wrestling, have since I first started watching in 1981, but there is something about a three hour Raw that is killing me lately. They really need a change in direction with more emphasis on in-ring action and less on the other stuff like the comedy bits. Ok I will get off of my soapbox now but I know something is wrong when even a devoted fan like me is having trouble watching every week.

My two main gripes with RAW (and WWE in general) are not with the product per se but the presentation. The amount of time wasted during the show is overboard. Besides too much hype, the amount of replays drives me up the wall. After every break there is a replay of what happened before the break. I was watching. I know what happened. Just a way to kill time. Go back to two hours and maybe you won't need to. The main thing that pushes me away from WWE television is the constant yammering about hash tags, what's trending, how many days someone was champion, blah blah blah. Besides them not talking about what's going on in the ring, it's like they are intentionally trying to subvert our thinking with WWE 'Universe-speak'. It may sound crazy but that's exactly the kind of tactics used to brainwash people. They want everyone to be drawn into their bubble where they convince us that what they are doing is meaningful and that we need to give them our money. They are just so blatant about it that it's insulting more than anything. Okay. Paranoid rant over.

it's not really surprising with 5 hours of wrestling being broadcast every week.
