The year of the DQ? Let's hope not. I'm going with Mr. Monday Night in the next bout. I would have liked to see Abe go against Kevin Sullivan or someone of a dark character. Bookerbill, are you only using cards in the LOW sets? Do you include any from the LOTF sets? This tournament has been great to read. Love the last couple of years.

Thank you for the predictions cruefan68 Pariah and Count Necros. aceldamas the match up of Lincoln and Van Dam blows my mind as well. Nick_Nuke thank you for the question. LOTF cards would be considered but their ROHL rating is not high enough to qualify. With the first round losers not being invited back next year, that may change.
Rob Van Dam (9) w/Bill Alfonso v. Abraham Lincoln (56) The fans were very curious to find out what was going to happen when these two heroes of different eras collided. Lincoln started on the offensive from the opening bell with an impressive ankle pick and then moments later was able to counter a turnbuckle charge with a backdrop sending RVD crashing to the floor. Lincoln runs Van Dam into the ring rails and then uses a bear hug and trip to send Van Dam to the mat. A THROAT LIFT SLAM gets a 2 count (R8/P3). The fans are surprized at Lincoln’s performance but Van Dam is finally able to get something going countering a half nelson and crotch lift. A series of monkey flips and rolling fireman carries follow which set up a body scissors cradle for a 1 count (R8/P3). Van Dam comes off the top with a deathjump smash and follows with Rolling Thunder. Lincoln bails and when the action goes back to the ring, Van Dam connects with a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH for two (R9/P6). The fans cannot believe that Lincoln kicked out! Van Dam then mounts the corner again and hits a second FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH. 1, 2, 3 (R4/P7). Van Dam gets a hard fought win. Up Next.... Killer Kowalski (24) v. Tony Atlas (41)

I was really pulling for The Honest One here! I could see RVD selling his ass off for Abe though. I'm pulling for Kowalski in the next bout, mainly because he's a great heel for me in my fed.

Great match between Abe and RVD. Thank for the response to my question. I have to go with Atlas in the next bout. It is going to be a tough one.

Thanks for the predictions everyone.
Killer Kowalski (24) v. Tony Atlas (41)
Atlas is able to assert himself early with a high hip toss followed by a jumping headbutt and big dropkick for a near fall (R6/P3). Atlas tries for a submission with a crushing full nelson but Kowalski escapes (R8/P4) and then is able to avoid a deathjump smash sending Mr. USA crashing to the mat. Kowalski covers for 1 (R9/P2) and then executes a giant swing that bounces Atlas off the mat and sends him crashing to the floor. The fans liked that spot. Outside, Kowalski runs Atlas into the ring rails and busts him open. The referee has no choice but to call for yet another disqualification. Kowalski, a former finalist in this event, is out in the first round as the fans groan.
Next Up.... William Muldoon (25) v. The Destroyer (40)

William Muldoon (25) v. The Destroyer (40)
These two had the mat skills to make this match up a potential classic. Muldoon gets control early on with a flying head mare that leads directly to a one count (R6/P2). The exchange of counters was nearly flawless. A pair of suplexes by Muldoon really have an impact and give him another one count (R11/P5). It is clear that Muldoon is driving the action although Destroyer is able to land a series of forearms before Muldoon catches his opponent charging into the corner with an elbow to the face. Destroyer is stunned and Muldoon capitalizes with a BODY LIFT AND THROW for the win (R6/P6).
Up next... Giant Bernard (8) v. John Pesek (57)

Two good matches in a row. Another DQ, what a shame, darn stupid dice. I had a feeling Muldoon was going to win. The next match, I kind of would like to see the little guy win. Barring a DQ, it should be a good match.

Thanks for the feedback Nick_Nuke. Giant Bernard (8) v. John Pesek (57) Bernard goes on the offensive immediately with a full nelson suplex that gets a 1 count (R7/P3). The flurry of offense continues with back to back Baldo Bombs, a bicycle kick and a powerbomb for another near fall (R8/P4). The beating continues for several more minutes before Pesek is able to turn things around at ringside when he reverses a whip and Bernard goes into the ring post. Inside, Pesek goes to work on the mat building to a TIGER MAN TOEHOLD but Bernard escapes by grabbing the ropes (R5/P3). Bernard is nearly counted out after a wastelock slam onto the floor in a sick looking spot. The action returns to the ring and it goes back and forth. Bernard uses multiple bottom rope guillotines to punish Pesek. Bernard maintains the upper hand and then crushes Pesek with a Baldo Bomb for the three count (R3/P5). Up Next.... Rikidozan (4) v. The Sheik (61) w/Abdul Farouk

Oh well, Pesek tried his best. The next match I still have to go with the winner of my only tournament I've had: Rikidozan. I also like his movie that was on Netflix once.
