Nick_Nuke Pesek did leave it all in the ring in his losing effort. Count Necros you make a very good point. Sheik has actually left the tournament via disqualification two out of the last four years. Rikidozan (4) v. The Sheik (61) w/Abdul Farouk Massive heat for Sheik as he prays prior to the match and then attacks Rikidozan with a sharp object early on. A bloody Rikidozan struggles but manages to counter a deathjump with a boot to the face. Rikidozan then goes for the win with THUNDEROUS CHOPS for a near fall (R7/P1). The match goes back and forth. Sheik pulls out his sharp object and again carves up Rikidozan. Back to the floor and Sheik decks Rikidozan with a chair shot. Rikidozan is down in a heap and cannot recover before the referee finishes his count out. The fans cannot believe it and are all over the referee. A top ten seed and last tournament’s finalist is out of out in the first round in a huge upset. The fans fill the ring with garbage as Sheik and Farouk as they celebrate their win. The next match .... Harley Race (29) v. John Tolos (36)

I was shocked to see Bernard over Pesek but the Baldo Bomb is a solid finisher. RVD, Tony Atlas and The Sheik advancing is all good in my book. Loved the RVD vs. Abraham Lincoln match. I'm going with Harley Race in the next match.

What a CRAZY victory for the Sheik! The ref must have been tired of all the DQs thus far...
Race vs. Tolos should be a good matchup... Really enjoying the tournament.

BOO! Garbage thrown in the ring by me too. Is the ref Danny Davis or Nick Patrick collecting a payoff in the back from Farouk. WOW! great match. As you have said, the dice can be something else. The next match should be good. I would not be surprised by DQ from either guy.

Thank you for comments cruefan68, Pariah and Nick_Nuke. This year has been heavy on the disqualifications for sure and I am still waiting for that classic match that blows me away. Harley Race (29) v. John Tolos (36) The fans settle in for what could be a classic encounter between two of the sports toughest competitors. They exchange blows and the match goes to the floor. Both men continue to trade blows and the referee cannot regain control and throws the match out. We have a double elimination as Race and Tolos brawl to the back. Up next . . . Road Warrior Hawk (20) w/Paul Ellering v. Dutch Savage (45)

Would not mind seeing a rematch between Race and Tolos....hard to go against Dutch here.

Thank you for taking the time to post some feedback Nick_Nuke and Kamala. Although the number of DQs in the top half of the draw have been high, these things usually go in streaks so perhaps the bottom half the draw will be cleaner. Road Warrior Hawk (20) w/Paul Ellering v. Dutch Savage (45) Hawk is out to a solid ovation. Plenty of brawling in this match as you would expect. Savage uses a thumb to the throat to slow down the Road Warrior but Hawk battles back and uses a FLYING CLOTHESLINE to get the three count (R4/P4). Two short matches in a row and the fans are restless. Up next . . . . Bobo Brazil (13) v. Road Warrior Animal (52) w/Paul Ellering This was my first use of the Dutch Savage card and I was somewhat disappointed with how Hawk blew through him. I was hoping for a closer contest from those two. The next bout should be a treat however with two cards from the introduction set. And, if Animal wins, we get Hawk v. Animal in round two.
