Not a great way for RVD to score his first victory, but a win is a win... And he needed one... Congrats to Liger and 'The Original Nature Boy' on becoming the first title holders in the RAGE FC... Solid stuff and lots of energy! Yes he did, and he got it thanks to Wolf's exuberance. Β But he's still in it. I also cleaned up my comments a little bit so you can see what happened in the Knockouts title match. Β I posted this late last night and I was half asleep. Β LOL Ahh, yes... Great job by Jessicka Havoc as well!

RAGE FC "The Day After" - Saturday 3/14/15
(Aerial view of University Of Dayton Arena as VON by Mark Lowrance begins) MARK LOWRANCE β To the locals it's called UD Arena. It's the home of the University Of Dayton Flyers basketball teams. Every year UD's passionate fan base makes this hallowed hall come alive during basketball season. It's also been home to concerts as well as wrestling, and tonight, RAGE FC comes to The University Of Dayton Arena.
Last week just up the road at Hara, the first titleholders were decided, and tonight, they all get to defend their titles for the first time. What else will happen? It's The Day After, it's on FOX Sports, and it's next!
(Video montage begins with various RAGE fighters, then we go to an outside shot of UD Arena)
MARK β They're still coming in to UD Arena as we welcome you to another exciting night of RAGE FC action here on FOX Sports. Hello again everyone, Mark Lowrance as always joined by the architect of the Road Warriors, Precious Paul Ellering alongside me PAUL β Always a pleasure to pontificate alongside a fine purveyor of wrestling play by play such as yourself, Mark! MARK β Well, thanks Paul! This is being called βThe Day Afterβ. What did you take away from last week's championship card? PAUL β Right now it's safe to say that the best fighters in the company are our champions Jessicka Havok, Jushin Liger, and Buddy Rogers. Jushin and Buddy are undefeated and Jessicka's only loss was a very narrow one. Speaking of Jessicka, she better be ready for a fight because Awesome Kong comes calling tonight. That being said, Buddy Rogers ain't gonna have it easy either, because Claudio Castagnoli comes for him, and Jushin Liger has to face Joker once again as well. MARK β We welcome a new member to our broadcast team tonight, as Christy Hemme joins us. Christy, what's going on? CHRISTY HEMME β Hello Mark and Paul, I'm here with Big Sue Jackson, and Awesome Kong. Sue, you've been on a little bit of a roll but tonight you're up against the Overmaster. Can you continue your winning ways BIG SUE JACKSON β Christy, I've been accused of bein' a little bit of a bully, but ya know what? Nick Bockwinkel took me lightly and look where he is now? I hear all the talk, I don't right know where that Overmaster thinks he is or what exactly he thinks he's master of, but he's just walked into a showdown with Big Sue Jackson. When the bell rings, it's high noon, and there's gonna be a showdown. Big Sue Jackson ain't goin' down. CHRISTY β Awesome Kong, you get Jessicka Havok tonight. Fans and critics are calling this one too close to call. What do you say? AWESOME KONG (Glares at Christy Hemme, then the camera) β Havok? She's dead! CHRISTY β I think it's safe to say that Big Sue and Awesome Kong are ready. Back to you guys MARK β I'd say so too. As always, before we hit the airwaves we have our kickoff matches for the lower ranked fighters on the roster, and we had some great action as usual (Highlight reel begins to roll) First off, Cheerleader Melissa debuts and defeats LuFisto with the Air Raid Crash at 1:55 PAUL β Not sure what's going on with LuFisto as she starts her RAGE career 0-3, but Melissa just dominant from the opening bell and LuFisto getting in zero offense. MARK β Neveah D. Penny Banner at 3:08 PAUL - Penny had the early advantage with superior agility, but Neveah catches her going to the top, sends her into the ring, and takes over from there, wearing her down with chokes before catching Penny with the stunner. MARK β Eddie Edwards D. Tiger Mask at 2:42 with Die Hard PAUL - Tiger with the early advantage until Eddie escapes an Indian Deathlock. Eddie sends Tiger outside and flattens him with a flying bodypress. Tiger is wiped out and easy prey for Edwards back in the ring. MARK β Roderick Strong D. Ray Rosas at 5:22 with the Sick Kick PAUL - Nice back and forth match with Strong catching Rosas by surprise for the win MARK β Wolf D. Mike Graham came up with some unique counters to Wolf's offense, but Wolf kept chipping away, finally winning MARK β Rob Van Dam D. (Fade to black and fade back in with footage of Cincinnati)
MARK LOWRANCE β It's called the Queen City, and back in the day it was known as being an important port for river traffic. It's home to the Reds, Bengals, our own Jon Moxley, late wrestling legend Brian Pillman, a large German population, and several new craft breweries in the past several years. Tonight, we head just north of downtown to another of wrestling's grand old palaces, The Cincinnati Gardens. The Gardens was a regular stop for Big Time Wrestling back in the 60's and 70's and has hosted numerous wrestling and boxing events. No less than the Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, and George Thorogood have performed here.
Tonight, the great Cincinnati wrestling tradition that started in the studios of Channel 9 continues as Rage Fight Club invades the Gardens. Can a Cowgirl (Photo of Wendi Richter shown) stop a Death Machine? (Photo of Jessicka Havok shown) Can a masked madman (Delirious shown) ground a great Japanese high flyer? (Photo of Jushin Liger) And....can the Original Nature Boy (Photo of Buddy Rogers) recover from a tough loss and stop a Swiss Superman? (Photo of Claudio Castagnoli). It's LEGENDARY, it's live.....and it's NEXT!
(Live aerial shot of Cincinnati Gardens is shown)
MARK LOWRANCE β You're looking live at the 66-year old historic brick and limestone structure known as The Cincinnati Gardens, and tonight RAGE Fight Club invades these hallowed halls for a night of great wrestling action!
(Inside the arena, crowd is shown to a huge pop)
MARK LOWRANCE β Hello everyone and welcome to RAGE Fight Club, and an event we're simply calling βLegendaryβ. Mark Lowrance alongside the architect of the Road Warriors, Precious Paul Ellering PAUL ELLERING β Oh yes Mark, it's great to be here, me, Hawk, and Animal made many memories here in this great city, it's great to be here MARK β This week, Commissioner Spike announcing all three of RAGE FC's titles have been given World status by the Academy Of Wrestling Promoters, and that has to mean something to the talent. PAUL β Of course it does, it puts RAGE FC as a major player in combat sports, and makes us a worldwide promotion instead of just a regional one. MARK β As a result, Spike has renamed the titles, they are now the RAGE FC World Knockouts Championship, the RAGE FC World Infinity Championship, and the RAGE FC World Unlimited Championship, and as always they will be defended on tonight's card. Speaking of titles, the big question on everyone's mind is will Claudio Castagnoli be 100% tonight against Buddy Rogers. PAUL β He says he is, but you just never know, it could be gamesmanship on Claudio's part, you have to remember he lost a lot of blood and had to be helped to the locker room last week, and he has stitches to contend with this week. If I'm him I'm wanting to finish this match as quickly as possible or at least keep a slow pace. I don't see Buddy letting him do that, though. MARK β In our other matches tonight, Sara Del Ray will face Neveah, who lives up the road in Dayton and will have fan support here, Roderick Strong goes up against the slumping Alex Colon, Scott Norton tries to stop a two-loss skid against Rob Van Dam, who's won two straight, Awesome Kong, who many feel got ripped off in her match last week against Havok, looks to redeem herself against Sensational Sherri Martel, American Dragon Bryan Danielson collides with Joker, and Bobo Brazil tries to stop the surge of the Aethran Overmaster. As always we had our kickoff matches before we went on the air, let's go over those right now. First off Penny Banner D. LuFisto at 12:30 via Boston Crab PAUL β It was a Fight Of The Night Candidate as Penny dominates the first 7-8 minutes, only for LuFisto to make a comeback, which would not be quite enough. Standing ovation for both fighters after it was over, which was of little consolation to LuFisto, as she's lost her first four and could be eliminated next week. MARK β Cheerleader Melissa D. Heidi Lovelace at 6:01 with a Forearm Strike PAUL β Nice back and forth match which Melissa kind of takes by surprise with a solid forearm MARK β The returning Sami Callahan D. Tiger Mask at 10:14 with the Stretch Muffler PAUL β The Ratings Committee deciding that Tiger gets another chance next week, but if he loses next week, he is eliminated. A motivated Sami making sure he did not win tonight. MARK β Eddie Edwards D. Ray Rosas at 4:13 with Die Hard PAUL β Eddie dominating from start to finish. Ray could be gone after next week as well as he's lost four straight MARK β Wolf D. Mike Graham at 1:55 via Countout PAUL β Graham hits an initial flurry but Wolf shakes it off, sends Graham outside, and mashes him to the concrete with a flying press. Mike Graham unable to answer the referee's count and is eliminated as a result. MARK β Eddie Kingston D. Sue Jackson at 1:10 with the Sliding D PAUL β Eddie demonstrating his accuracy with thrown chairs as Sue tries to take the match outside and gets waffled straight in the face, knocking him back into the ring for the quick victory by Eddie. Sue has now lost his last two.
(Crowd pops as Claudio Castagnoli makes his way to the ring)
MARK β The big question here tonight is Claudio Castagnoli's health, and to address that let's go to the ring where Amber Gertner is with Claudio....Amber? AMBER GERTNER β Thanks Mark. Claudio, coming off your great win last week, a lot of questions flying about your health. What do you have to say? CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI β Yes, unfortunately Amber, I'm working with some health issues (Crowd groans). I probably should have stayed away from that spicy sausage at the German place last night (Crowd laughter).....BUT IT WAS GOOD! (Crowd cheers), oh, and another thing, I tripped over a kitten on the sidewalk outside my hotel and skinned my elbow (Crowd says AWWWWWWW)......BUT I FOUND THE SWEETEST LITTLE GIRL AND GAVE THE KITTEN A GOOD HOME (Crowd cheers). But yeah, I know what you're saying, it's no fun wrestling with gas and a skinned elbow (Laughter). OK, I'll get serious. Yeah, Buddy cut me pretty good, but I still beat him, and I'm still standing, and tonight I'll still be standing and still holding the World Championship (Crowd Pops) (To Amber) Can I say it? AMBER β Sure, go ahead CLAUDIO β Mark, back to you! MARK (Laughing) Thanks Claudio and Amber as well. I think Claudio is ready. PAUL β If he's got any health issues he's not letting on. We'll see. MARK β It's time to FEEL THE RAGE as we head up to Amber for our opening match!
SARA DEL RAY V. NEVEAH Neveah takes early control with a kick to the head off of a Sara rope whip. Neveah attempts a dropkick, but Sara swats her away, kicks the leg, and hits a Samoan drop. Neveah defends a kick to the chest, but Sara connects with a kick to the head. Sara with a Koppo Kick and german suplex, and Neveah is down. Sara with a piledriver. Sara with a Samoan drop. RAGE FC "COLLISION COURSE" - SATURDAY 3/28/15
(As βLose Yourselfβ begins playing, we go to an aerial view of Columbus)
MARK LOWRANCE β It's the capital city of Ohio, named after Christopher Columbus. It's known as the Discovery City, The Biggest Little Small Town In America, and to the natives, Cbus. It's home to THE Ohio State University as well as the Columbus Blue Jackets in hockey, and the Columbus Crew in soccer. Tonight, we head into the Arena District, no more than a stone's throw from the Nationwide complex in the city's center. Known for it's selections in music, entertainment, and shopping, it is also known for its anchor, Nationwide Arena. Tonight this grand arena, which has also hosted boxing and MMA plays host to Rage Fight Club, and in our triple main event tonight, the Cowgirl, Wendi Richter, gets another chance to unseat Jessicka Havok for the Knockouts Championship, Joker will try to unseat Jushin Liger for the third time in four weeks and claim the Infinity Championship, and Claudio Castagnoli, after turning back Buddy Rogers the past two weeks, has a mountain to climb tonight if he wants to keep the Unlimited Championship, in the form of the Aethran Overmaster. It's RAGE Fight Club, it's live, and it's next!
(We go to video marked βEarlier Todayβ from rear of Nationwide Arena, as Claudio Castagnoli pulls up in his rental car, gets out, opens the trunk, and gets his bag. We see Brute stroll up and lean on the car, Claudio drop his bag back in the trunk and take off his sunglasses)
BRUTE β The Master wanted to give you a little message CLAUDIO (Puts a finger up but says nothing, removes his bag from the trunk, sets it down, and points to a spot behind Brute. As Brute looks, Claudio slams the trunk lid on his hand causing Brute to howl in pain and fall to one knee. Brute puts his other hand on the car to steady himself and Claudio slams the trunk lid on that hand too, causing Brute to howl even louder. Claudio runs around the car and delivers a running Swiss Death to Brute, who was on his knees but is now flat on his back, groaning in pain)...........Million dollar bodies..........(bleep) for brains..........Yep, Wolf was right (Crowd in arena watching this cheers as Claudio enters arena)
MARK β The games have already started before our big Unlimited title showdown as Claudio gets one up on the Overmaster. Hello again everyone and welcome to RAGE FC's βCollision Courseβ on Fox. Mark Lowrance as always alongside Precious Paul Ellering. Paul, based on the video, you have to believe Claudio Castagnoli, despite being champion, was being thought of as the underdog in the court of public opinion. Now after wiping out Brute, do you think he has the momentum? PAUL β Absolutely. Brute is only 2 inches shorter and 5 pounds lighter than the Overmaster and Claudio used some good old fashioned brainpower and a little trickery to make a point, and I think he made it very well. MARK β Now let's not forget our other two title matches tonight. For the Infinity title, the undefeated Jushin Liger faces off for the third time against Joker. PAUL β Having lost two times to Liger, Joker needs to try something new. MARK β In the Knockouts title match, Jessicka Havok goes at it one more time with the Cowgirl, Wendi Richter PAUL β There's going to be some familiarity there from last week's match, so I'm hoping both ladies have something new up their sleeves to get the edge MARK β In other matches tonight, Sherri Martel battles Neveah, Eddie Edwards is against Alex Colon, Bobo Brazil battles Eddie Kingston, Awesome Kong against Sara Del Ray, Delirious takes on Roderick Strong, and Buddy Rogers goes against Rob Van Dam. PAUL β As always we have kickoff matches before we go on the air, and as we roll the highlight reel, let's go over the results. MARK β First off, LuFisto saves her roster spot by defeating Cheerleader Melissa at 8:56 with the Burning Hammer PAUL β LuFisto busted open early by a table courtesy of Melissa, but she kept fighting. By the end of the match both fighters just covered in blood, but LuFisto motivated tonight and everything goes her way. Melissa got in very little offense at all. MARK β Penny Banner D. Heidi Lovelace at 2:49 with a Sunset Flip PAUL β Kind of an ugly win for Penny but she takes it. Both fighters collide in the middle of the ring while going for a clothesline, Penny comes up first and sees that Heidi is still stunned, and wastes no time hitting the Sunset Flip to pin a surprised Heidi. MARK β Tiger Mask saves his roster spot by defeating the debuting Hayabusa with a rollup at 58 seconds PAUL β Hayabusa may not be able to live this one down for awhile. He reverses a Tiger Mask corner whip, goes for a shoulder, but Tiger gets out of the way and goes immediately for the schoolboy rollup and catches a stunned Hayabusa for the three. MARK β Sami Callahan D. Ray Rosas at 3:03 with a Headlock Driver PAUL β Another strange ending involving a mid-ring collision. Sami first wipes out Rosas, and nearly himself, with a suicide dive, but still has the werewithall to grab Ray and hit a devastating looking Headlock Driver for the three count. Ray Rosas is eliminated from the active roster. MARK β In a battle of the wildmen, the returning Jon Moxley D. Wolf at 7:06 with his version of a Cutter PAUL β Wolf rarely unable to generate any offense but that was the case tonight as the unorthodox Moxley took it to Wolf, kept him grounded, and got the win MARK β Finally, Scott Norton D. Sue Jackson at 5:41 with the second of two Powerslams PAUL β Nice battle of big men, and each got in heavy blows, but I believe the conditioning of Scott Norton made the difference in this match, as Sue Jackson seemed to tire way too early.
MARK β As I understand it, Amber Gertner is backstage with the Overmaster. Amber.... AMBER β Thanks Mark...... AETHRAN OVERMASTER (Grabs Microphone) β Claudio, YOU LOWLY SCAB! YOU'RE NOT WORTHY TO LICK MY BOOTS! THAT'S WHY I'M A MASTER AND YOU'RE NOT! YOU THINK YOU CAN DO TO ME WHAT YOU DID TO BRUTE? TONIGHT I LEAVE YOU LAYING AND TAKE YOUR TITLE, AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT (Hands mic to Amber and storms off) AMBER β Mark, Aethran Overmaster has got the whole family with him, so to speak. Warhammer is here, Brute is here, Rush and Paralyze are here, and I understand that Spike may have an announcement for the title match. Spike, come on in...... SPIKE β Amber, I won't have this trying to get an illegal edge going on here. Everyone in Overmaster's entourage is not on the active roster as of yet, so they've been ordered out of the arena (Crowd Cheers). This will be a fair match. AMBER β Thanks Spike, and back to you Mark MARK β This promises to be an interesting night PAUL β Yes it does MARK β Are you ready? PAUL β Precious Paul is ALWAYS ready! MARK β We hope you're ready because it's time to feel the RAGE as we head up to Amber Gertner for our first match.
