The Dixie Slam supercard looks stacked... Really hoping that The End emerges victorious against Saint, simply to further the Legend Killer angle... It's going great so far...
Also enjoyed the exchange between UltraMantis Black and Excalibur... His strength in numbers speech actually made a bit of sense, but Excalibur looks like he wants to earn his place on his own merits... Might we see UMB start to put together a 'flock' in order to further his cause within the company? And maybe teach Excalibur a lesson, while he's at it?
Very entertaining stuff so far... Can't wait for more!

DixieSlam 05.12.2000 from
- Opening - Eric Bischoff welcomes the sold-out crowd to DixieSlam. HoD hope this even will become, over time, their Wrestlemania. It's up to the promotion to make that happen. He makes 2 announcements regarding the card. A match featuring Ultramantis Black taking on Excalibur has been added. Also, Latvian Proud Oak is out after the attack by the security guard on last Saturday's show. The identity of that guard is still being investigated, and the security company is giving their full cooperation. Estonian Thunderfrog has said that their will be a match between some version of Baltic Siege and Natural Selection. Finally, the Street Fight between BLKOUT and Da' Soultouchaz has officially been made into a six-man event as BLK MOZE and C Red are now part of the match.
Bruiser Costa vs. Sage Strong Bruiser Costa defeated Sage Strong Match Notes: Sage Strong's try-out does not go his way as Bruiser Costa picks up a rare win. Strong will be one and done in HoD.
JT Lightning vs. Andy Dalton Andy Dalton defeated JT Lightning with a Piledriver Match Notes: Dalton fairs much better in his try-out, picking up a win and a 6-month contract. Dalton's disdain for the fans, and vice versa, is quite obvious.
- Ultramantis Black - Ultramantis Black stormed into the ring. He grabbed the Jeremy Borash's mic and said that he knows HoD understands power when they see it. He demanded a match with Excalibur after Excalibur tried and failed miserably to embarrass him last week. In fact, Excalibur only embarrassed himself. HoD knew it was in their best interests to make the match, because they know how making an enemy of Ultramantis Black can be deadly. Excalibur will find this out later on. Borash grabbed his mic back and told Black that Excalibur was the one who called the office first and requested a match. He told Black to leave and come back when it was his time. Black asked Borash, "Excalibur ASKED for a match with me?" Borash nodded and Black quickly left the ring.
Tommy End vs. Johnny Saint Tommy End defeated Johnny Saint with a Nephilim Match Notes: End picks up the win. He helps Saint to his feet without incident. End tells him that he's sorry he had to go out like this. Saint said that I'm not going out. You won a match. You didn't end my career. End said that Saint said he would retire if he lost, but Saint replied that Tommy was delusional. End said that he had gone easy on him, hoping Saint would do the right thing. Saint said that he was doing the right thing. He would take this loss, study it, and do better next time. End came back saying that they would put in the contract for their next match. If Saint loses, he retires. Saint said that was idiotic. Some wrestlers have been stupid enough to put some crazy things at stake, but I will never officially put my career at stake, period. End said that he will then have to force Saint. Johnny said he thought End was going to force him this time, and he saw how that came out. Tommy said again that he went easy on him, but not any more. With this, End attacked Saint. The attack was very short-lived as Petey Williams made the save.
- Chain Match - DJ Hyde vs. Necro Butcher Necro Butcher defeated DJ Hyde with a Necro Bomb Match Notes: The match-finishing Necro Bomb came after Butcher removed the chain from both his and Hyde's wrist. He piled it up on the mat and made sure Hyde's head hit right on it. After the pin, Butcher gathered up the chain, but before he could do anything, MASADA attacked. Butcher saw him coming and escaped through the crowd again. MASADA stopped to check on Hyde who waved him off and motioned for him to go after Butcher. MASADA did so, but Butcher was gone. Reports from outside the arena say that Butcher ran down the street away from the building and ducked into an alley.
Homicide vs. Michael Kai Rayne Michael Kai Rayne defeated Homicide with a Disqualification Match Notes: Homicide controlled most of the match, but Rayne managed to stay alive due to his own tenacity and a liberal dose of TDM's interference. Homicide's DQ came when The Menace climbed in the ring and tried to use his cane. Homicide cut him off and grabbed the cane. The first shot sent TDM over the top to the floor. The second, right in front of the ref, was to Rayne's face. The DQ quickly followed. Homicide left with the cane.
Excalibur vs. Ultramantis Black Excalibur defeated Ultramantis Black with an Ace Crusher Match Notes: Excalibur wins in a competitive match.
Natural Selection and Stu Stone come to the ring for the next match. Stone offers condolences to the family-Ricker interrupts and says he's a tree so it would be forest-to the forest and 1 friend of the Latverian Tree Stump on his career-ending injury. Cage says that it might not be career-ending. Stone says, "well then I-I mean that evil, rotten tree-hating guard didn't him him hard enough." Baltic Siege's music starts, and Thunderfrog comes to the ring with a wrestler identified as the Lithuanian Snow-Troll. Ricker asks "how many of these freaks are there?"
Natural Selection vs. Baltic Siege v2 Estonian Thunderfrog defeated Shaun Ricker with a Disqualification Match Notes: Baltic Siege V2 picks up a DQ win thanks to Stu Stone's interference.
Scorpio Sky is accompanied to the ring by fans wearing "Scorpio Sky Experience" t-shirts. After a Japanese-style "celebration" upon the announcement of his name, they returned to the back. However, one of the "Experience" hopped the railing and took a seat at ringside, quickly putting a hoodie on over his t-shirt.
Scorpio Sky vs. Petey Williams Petey Williams defeated Scorpio Sky with a Disqualification Match Notes: The "Experience" member played a part in the DQ when he hopped over the rail and went after Williams on the floor. This time the ref saw it and called for the DQ.
BLKOUT went to the ring first. BLK MOZE had a decidedly different demeanor. He told the crowd that he was just having fun at first, helping his boys out playing this fun little part. Then, C Red had to go make it personal. MOZE said he didn't have anything to do with what happened to Dymond. He hears she is here tonight, though, and if he gets a chance...MOZE says it's time to tell the worst-kept secret in wrestling. Ruckus pulls off the mask and to no one's surprise it is BLK JEEZ. DST and Red come out next. Red tells BLKOUT that they aren't the only ones who can bait n' switch. He says that when he hit that car door, he bruised his pancreas and the doctors won't clear him. However, he's got it covered. Tonight, for one show only, the original Soultouchaz trio is back. Their music hits again as Willie Richardson makes his appearance.
- 6-Man Street Fight - BLK MOZE and BLKOUT vs. Da' Soultouchaz and Willie Richardson Willie Richardson defeated BLK Jeez with a Droppin' Da Bomb Match Notes: The extra man on both teams play a part in the finish. After the bell, DST hit the trios move Droppin' Da Bomb on Ruckus. The three of them then grab Joker and hold him as Dymond comes to the ring. She removes a stilleto heel and slashes Joker across his face, busting him wide open. The four of them dance in the ring for a bit before leaving.
Tyler Black vs. Donovan Dijak Tyler Black defeated Donovan Dijak with a Disqualification Match Notes: Black seems to be in control and get Dijak in trouble early. Natural Selection and Stone storm the ring and administer a beatdown for the DQ. Other wrestlers run them off as a medical team finally gets to Black. He leaves the ring on a gurney.

The End is really turning into a sinister personage and you're doing a fantastic job building that angle...
Smart move by Necro Butcher... Looking forward to the inevitable hardcore conflict between him and Masada...
DixieSlam was a great show from start to finish... Lots of great action with some superb storytelling thrown into the mix... Nice work!

Heart of Dixie Episode 7 05.13.2000 from
- DixieSlam Recap - We open with some of the highlights from DixieSlam. For more detailed results, please visit HoDWrestling.com. Bischoff is talking about the debut of Michael Kai Rayne and the match with Homicide. They again show Homicide taking The Dark Menace's cane and striking both he and Rayne for the DQ, then leaving with the cane. The Menace steps up obviously frustrated. He says that the cane was his great-grandfather's, and had been passed down through the Filsin-the Menace family. He threatened to call tjhe police and charge Homicide with theft. Bischoff announced that today's main event was a rematch between Homicide and Rayne. He added that The Menace's man, Rex Havoc, would be taking on Petey Williams. TDM looked at Bischoff and said "he is?" Bischoff said that a manager should be more aware of what his clients are doing. TDM said "I wish I had my cane so I could whack you with it. Havoc's match must've slipped my mine. Who's he wrestling again? Never mind. I'll go ask-Rex, yea, Rex." TDM left. Bischoff commented that he must have a whole lot on his mind if he can't remember his clients name.
Andy Dalton vs. MASADA Andy Dalton defeated MASADA with a Disqualification Match Notes: A fantastic match left the fans disappointed after a DQ ending.
- Family Stone - Stu and the Family Stone are with Bischoff. He shows a clip of the attack at the end of the Black/Dijak match and the follow-up with Black leaving on a gurney. The Family was laughing at the scene as we return live. Stone asked how long Black would be out, 6 months, 8, a career? Bischoff said that we will let this man go into detail, and he introduced Cowboy Bill Watts representing the championship committee. Watts said that Stone was actually lucky, as the injuries were nowhere near as severe as they appeared on the scene. Ricker said that it just means we didn't get the job done. Watts continued by announcing that Black had been scheduled to spend the next month in Japan. The injuries will only take him off a couple of dates, but even a couple is some money he's losing. Dijak asked "what part of we don't give a shit don't you understand? We were hoping to put him on the shelf for a long time. I despite him, and if he never made another dime in the ring again then I would be thrilled." Watts told Dijak that Black is right. This piece of trash (w. a motion towards Stone) is going to ruin your career. Stone asked Watts if he "were crazy, as with one word"-Watts held up his hand. "If you say that one word, and they do what you're implying, you are all finished, period....and you're going to hurt like Hell." Watts said that he was going to talk and they were going to listen. First, Black wants a shot at all three of you, but he's not interested in a partner. Cage said, "we're a team." Watts shot back, "not for the near future. This how it WILL go down." When Black gets back, he wants each of you in a singles' match, and he will get it. Cage will be first, then Ricker, then Dijak. Your match (to Dijak) will be special. It will be the main event of our first ever Summer supershow, and will be in a steel cage. In the meantime, you are all effectively suspended for 45 days except for this mandated match with Black. Stone and the Family went ballistic. Watts wasn't done. He told Stu that his future was even a little bleaker, and all the lawyers in the world couldn't stop it. A man walked up and handed Watts a duffle bag. Stone turned white. Watts asked Stone if he recognized this man. He works maintenance at the building where they held last week's show. He brought this bag to the office's attention after he found it in a dumpster behind the arena later that night. His curiosity got the best of him and he took a peek, like pretty much everybody would. Watts opened the bag and dumped the contents on the floor. It was a security uniform, helmet, and riot stick. Stone said it was an old Halloween costume. Watts said that there was blood on the stick and they had it tested. The Family looked like they were about to attack, and Watts held up the stick. "You want to find out what this feels like?" He told Stone that he made a huge error. This man (to the maintenance guy) is from Latvia, as in Proud Oak. Dijak asked "there's really a Latvia?" and Ricker said "we heard he was some wrestling school flunkout from Sheboygan." Watts said "that flunkouts been kicking your ass." He told Stone that due to his actions, he was suspended an additional 30 days. "Whether The Oak is from Latvia or Wisconsin, the people of Latvia have adopted him as a hero. You attacked a national treasure and then asked one his biggest fans to help you get rid of the evidence." Stone started screaming about how the freak deserved it, and if he had the chance he would gladly offend the people of Estonia as well. Watts, Bischoff, and the maintenance guy started laughing. Stu asked what was so funny. Watts pointed to the maintenance guy. "This is Bob, our UPS guy. He's from Marietta. I don't know if there's really a Latvia or not, but thanks for confessing." Watts said that Gordon was watching Stone at ringside, and something didn't seem right. They got another uniform from the security company and worked up this plan to see if it was indeed Stone. He told The Family that they had 15 minutes to get off the property. They would each receive a call a week before their match, and they better come alone. He told Stone he better not get a text or e-mail from him until late August.
BLKOUT was in the ring with Eric Bischoff. Eric announced that BLKOUT was scheduled to wrestle Natural Selection, but recent events have taken that out of the picture. He pointed at Joker, who had a huge bandage over the left side of his face, and said that he isn't cleared to go tonight. Ruckus said that he could start screaming about wanting payback on Dymond or Red or whoever, but he's tired of that. BLK JEEZ is gone. Willie Richardson is gone. It's back to how it started. He and Joker against Acid and Marshe. Forget the managers and their skanks. Let's make it about the four of us. He asked what HoD was going to do, and Bischoff said that we found somebody for you to take on 1-on-1. DJ Hyde's music hit.
DJ Hyde vs. Ruckus DJ Hyde defeated Ruckus with a Shadow Driver Match Notes: Hyde wins a brawling style match.
The Dark Menace accompanies Rex Havoc to the ring, but then heads to the back. Havoc asks where he's going. The Menace says that he has business to attend to. Havoc says that his business is with me in this match. He leaves the ring and approaches The Menace. The Menace tells him to get back in the ring. Havoc hesitates, and the Menace repeats the direction. Havoc complies without a word.
Rex Havoc vs. Petey Williams Petey Williams defeated Rex Havoc with a Canadian Leg Sweep Match Notes: Havoc looks around the ring at several points during the match. He seems unfocused. He does get some offense in, but Williams is mainly in control.
At the bell, the Menace comes to ringside, berating Havoc all the way down the aisle. TDM orders Havoc to come to him on the floor. Havoc asks, "where were you?" Menace is overheard mumbling something about "short-term memory loss," and tell Havoc that he was right at ringside all along. Havoc asks why he didn't help him win. The Menace walks off with a terse order to follow him.
- Ultramantis Black - UMB is in the ring. He says that Excalibur got the best of him last night. What makes him a genius is that he knows when to fight his own battles and when to let someone else do it. This doesn't make him a coward, it makes him brilliant. Excalibur had a chance to be the vanguard of a new force, but he blew it. Next week, Excalibur will pay for his ignorance at the hands of UMB's new weapon.
After the introductions for the next match, Red says that he trusts the guys in Baltic Siege, so he and Dymond will be hanging out in the back planning the after party.
Da' Soultouchaz vs. Baltic Siege v2 Acid Jaz defeated Estonian Thunderfrog with a Disqualification Match Notes: While the match was fought very cleanly, the ending DQ came mostly out of frustration, as both team had been going a while without being able to put the other away. All four men were exhausted. The team members all shook hands afterwards.
- Tommy End/Johnny Saint - Saint and End were both in the interview area with Bischoff between. End started to talk, but Saint stopped him. "Save it," he said, "and listen to me for once." Saint said he had done some checking, and he suspected End wasn't telling the whole truth about why he's out for Saint. End said that he had said it several times, but Saint refused to listen. Saint said that he's heard it all 1,000 times before. End says "you've never heard it from me." Saint replied,. "I've heard it from better, and I'm still standing, kid." End lunged at Saint, who sidestepped him. In a flash, Saint was on top with all four lims tied up. He immediately let go and stood up. "I'm not interested in hurting you. I want you to know what this old man can still do." Saint left with End slowly getting to his feet.
Homicide vs. Michael Kai Rayne Michael Kai Rayne defeated Homicide with a Disqualification Match Notes: The third DQ of the night had the fans restless. TDM remained at ringside, but this time, he seemed unfocused. His attempts at interference were half-hearted. He kept screaming at Homicide to give him the cane. Homicide would shrug, smile, and say that he didn't bring it. After the DQ, TDM was gesturing wildly to the back, but nothing happened as we went to dark.

House Show #1 05.19.2000 from
- Announcement - Before the first match, Borash announced that the fans tonight would see the HoD debut of the Bravado Brothers.
Andy Dalton vs. JT Lightning Andy Dalton defeated JT Lightning with a Piledriver Match Notes: Slightly competitive, but Dalton was never really in trouble.
Excalibur vs. Ultramantis Black Ultramantis Black defeated Excalibur with a Praying Mantis Bomb Match Notes: UMB evens the series.
Tommy End was in the ring for the next match. Johnny Saint was greeting the fans around the ring. He came across this one fan and got very excited. He asked security to let the man approach. The shook hands over the railing. The man was tough looking fellow in a leather jacket and sporting a mohawk, and it was obvious they knew one another. The man also spoke in an English accent. Tommy spoke to the ref who told Saint it was time for the match. Saint clapped the fan on the shoulder one final time and climbed in the ring. As he did, his friend made gestures at Tommy End.
Tommy End vs. Johnny Saint Tommy End defeated Johnny Saint with an OWARI DEATH FOOT STOMP Match Notes: After the pin, End went back up top for another OWARI. A commotion broke out at ringside. Saint's English friend was trying to climb the rail but security was holding him back. Tommy and the man got into a shouting match. Saint got to his feet, realized what was happening, and calmed his friend down. Tommy left the ring. Saint and the fan whispered briefly again, and the fan left his seat (and did not return) while Saint left up the aisle.
Baltic Siege v2 vs. The Bravado Brothers Lancelot Bravado defeated Estonian Thunderfrog with a Gentleman's Approach Match Notes: The Bravados HoD debut is a big win for them. Siege V2 looked strong as well.
MASADA vs. Necro Butcher Necro Butcher defeated MASADA with a Brutal Beatdown Match Notes: It was obvious the ref had decided or been instructed to call this one loosely. Butcher controlled most of the match.
Petey Williams vs. Scorpio Sky Petey Williams defeated Scorpio Sky with a Disqualification Match Notes: Yet another meeting between these two is disrupted by a member of the Scorpio Sky Experience. After the match, Williams grabbed a mic and said that he was going to be giving his first real interview tomorrow night on HoD. He had done more wrestling than talking in HoD, but he some things to get off his chest.
BLKOUT vs. Da' Soultouchaz Ruckus defeated Marshe Rockett with The Hate Crime Match Notes: Another very competitive tag team match shows why HoD is already receiving accolades in the industry for how it's promoting this division. BLKOUT picks up a hard-fought victory. For the most part, C Red and Dymond stay out the way, and BLKOUT only pay them meager attention.

Heart of Dixie Episode 8 05.20.2000 from
Andy Dalton vs. JT Lightning Andy Dalton defeated JT Lightning with a Disqualification Match Notes: Lightning was disqualified when Dalton "accidentally" dropped a foreign object and let Lightning pick it up. He immediately called the ref's attention to it, and the ref ended the match. After the protesting Lightning left the ring, Dalton took a mic. He said that the only person who didn't see what happened was him (pointing to the confused ref). He said he really didn't care how that match ended because he's had 4 matches in HoD and he's beaten "Loser" Lightning in 2 of them. The other was a hell of match with MASADA which the promotion shows no signs of wanting to arrange again even though it brought the house down. He said they're hiding MASADA behind this deal he's got with Necro Butcher. "Hey, Butcher, save me some, won't you?" Dalton asked HoD to give him something to do besides slap around punks. A voice from the PA said, "be careful what you ask for Dalton," and DJ Hyde's music hit. He came to the ring. "I've been around a little longer than you, and I'm sorta in the same boat. I've filled in, helped some folks out, that sort of thing. I don't have anything against you, but I don't particularly like you. We don't need some rage-fueled reason to fight. How's about we sign a few contracts and just see who's better." Dalton replied, " Let's do it, but we both know who is better."
Rex Havoc vs. Homicide Rex Havoc defeated Homicide with a Disqualification Match Notes: From the time the Dark Menace saw Homicide, he started yelling about his cane. Homicide told him that "if one of your guys can pin me, I will give it back. You might as buy another because it's not happening." The DQ came when Homicide finally had enough of TDM in his face, and slugged him. As soon as the bell rang, Michael Kai Rayne attacked. He threw Homicide in the ring. Rex Havoc tried to pick Homicide up, but Rayne told Havoc to drop him. When Havoc protested, TDM ordered him to drop Homicide and leave. Rayne was about to punch Havoc when Havoc finally complied with TDM's request. Rayne nailed Homicide with one Rayne of Pain and was preparing another when Da' Soultouchaz made the save. As Rayne and TDM walked by Havoc, he tried to speak to them. Rayne pushed him away and TDM told him to be quiet.
- Ultramantis Black/Excalibur/? - Ultramantis Black is in the ring with Bischoff and Excalibur. He says that since he's shown he can beat Excalibur, he doesn't need to wrestle him any more. Instead,. he's going to turn Excalibur over to his new lieutenant, Crossbones. Crossbones comes to the ring. UMB says that Crossbones his the first in a wave of agents that will soon overrun HoD. He calls Crossbones his "major domo," and "right-hand man." He tells Excalibur that he could be standing here, but he made a foolish choice. Crossbones speaks up and says that while I was well aware of the situation, it's probably not a good idea to stand here and talk about your first choice for this job while I'm in the room. It's kind of awkward. UMB starts to respond, but Crossbones tells him to be quiet. CB says that the player just got played. He said he's not part of any group, gang, posse, crew, squad or anything. He used UMB to get into HoD, and now he's setting his own path. Black said that you can't do this to me, I'm Ultramantis Black. Crossbones asked Black "why should I work with you? I've forgotten how many times I've let you get in my head, and it always ends up bad for me. Not any more." UMB said that he made Crossbones, and he could unmake him. Crossbones grabbed Black and threw him over the top rope. He turned to face Excalibur. Excalibur offered his hand and Crossbones accepted it, then kicked Excalibur in the gut and threw him on top of Black. He took a mic and said, " I won't be labelled by the fans or the promotion. Cheering or booing is all the same to me. I'm not your good guy or your bad guy...I'm Crossbones."
The Bravado Brothers vs. Baltic Siege v2 Lancelot Bravado defeated Estonian Thunderfrog with a Gentleman's Approach Match Notes: The debuting (on TV) Bravados received a mixed greeting from the crowd. The match itself was very exciting and close throughout.
- Petey Williams - Petey Williams is with Bischoff. Eric says that this is the first time you've spoken one-on-one since the show began. Petey says that this is by design. He's spent a lot of his career doing a lot of talking, and it hasn't worked out real well. HoD has given him a chance, and he's going to make the best of it. He tells a story about a little boy who didn't say a word for the first 10 years of his life. One day, at dinner, he suddenly says, "the mashed potatoes are lumpy." His shocked parents ask him why he spoke after 10 years. The boy said, "everything was all right till now." Petey said that he feels that way in HoD. His lumpy mashed potatoes are named Scorpio Sky. He feel the need to have the Experience around because he doesn't trust his own abilities. He's a coward. Petey says he's got a plan. Sky can have his Experience, but I'm having an equal number of guys around the ring as well. I want an old-school lumberjack match. I want it to be on this upcoming show on Memorial Day called "Saluting the Fallen." Me vs. Sky w/ 6 guys each around the ring....that simple. Let me know next week Sky if you have the guts to fight me when I've got a little back-up.
MASADA vs. Necro Butcher MASADA defeated Necro Butcher with a Disqualification Match Notes: The expected result for a match between these two with no stipulations. It was basically a matter of which one the ref pulled the trigger on first. The fighting continued until security broke it up.
As Solie was signing off, Scopio Sky stepped up. He said that he accepts the challenge now for a lumberjack match at "Saluting the Fallen." Petey Williams can bring 100 guys to ringside. The Experience is all he needs.
Solie's final comment was that we will learn about the Memorial Day show next week.
