Card 616 – Phobos Sundome:
Interplanetary champ, Holocaust, ends the run of Ram at the title. Decent match with Holocaust mostly looking pretty good but some will argue that Ram choked again. He had a chance after RAM CHARGE but took too long celebrating and showboating over the move that when he then went for the cover Holocaust had recovered his senses enough to kick out. Visibly annoyed Ram goes for the move again but it was all too obvious and Holocaust seemed as if he was playing possum. Sure enough he got out of the way and Ram went clumsily outside. Holocaust did not relinquish control after this and got the win after he had Ram begging for mercy in an abdominal stretch. The loss by Ram will give Bishop Hell more ammunition to drop him as the team’s singles performer. From an outsider point of view it seems everything possible was being done to smooth a path to the IP belt for Ram and he just couldn’t grasp it
Millenium defeated the Mercenaries by DQ. Colussus and Heracles bouncing back after mixed fortunes at FRIGHT NIGHT. They love teaming up but are unsure whether make a big push in singles or tag action. Omega doesn’t want to block their ambitions but has advised them that if they want belt glory it is better to focus on one discipline over the other. They certainly show they can be a very big fish in the tag team pond tonight with victory. Colussus came out the blocks at warp speed. Soldier of Fortune barely knows what’s hit him as he gets both THE REVENGER and CYBORG DEATHBLOW in quick succession. Shortly after this he finds himself outside of the ring and in a desperate bid to stem the attacks arms himself with the nearest object which happens to be a chair the poor ring announcer was sitting on. This action immediately draws the bell and the Mercenaries lose again. Krakan argues the decision furiously but deep down knows his troops let him down again and is having to cover for their lousy performances
Mayhem pinned Lord Nexus after a Spine Smasher. Lord Nexus comes close to an upset after a fantastic start that rolled back the years. Using those powerful Titan legs he hammers Mayhem with some spectacular moves and sublime useage of the turnbuckles. Unfortunately it’s a fleeting moment as starts to slow down and hasn’t done enough damage. Mayhem is able to settle into the match and rarely looks in trouble once he gets on the offence
Enigma hands Justice a humiliating loss. Justice starts the match with a hammerlock and then tosses Enigma into the ropes. Dropping his head too early he gets wasted with a piledriver. Enigma then throws him outside and fast as a flash connects with FEET OF FURY. Justice is in a mangled heap already and Enigma casually rolls him back in the ring and stands on him for an easy pin. What a statement from Enigma. Everyone is raving and Darkos says this is just the start of the Assassin greatness. His young team is on the verge of becoming the most powerful villain team in the GWF
Generation X beat the Beast Riders by DQ. Pre match bantering sees Terak stirring things up. He says he has been regular contact with Dreggs for some top tips and knows all the weaknesses of Generation X. Grunge posts a picture of a beer can being crushed and says he will do the same to Terak in the ring. Terak backs up his trash talking in the ring, his form has been reasonably good lately and he rattles both members of Generation X especially Grunge. But he is a bit too keen to ramp up the pressure. Action spills out of the ring as it so often does and despite protestations of the ref to bring the action back Terak doesn’t relent. Creeper seeing his master on the offensive joins him and the outcome is a disappointing DQ loss. All the while Metalhead is too busy partying with the some young ladies near the front row to care what is going on with his partner
Draconian Sheik out of control antics overcome Dreadnaught. Reynard B. Guile is a pain pulling countless distractions allowing Drac to attack Dreadnaught from behind numerous times. For someone of Dreadnaught’s experience it is a surprise he allows himself to get suckered in so many times. Dreadnaught is hanging on as he gets put in DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER several times. Dreadnaught has shown over the years that he can withstand incredible punishment but ultimately he submits to the move. What makes the loss crushing is that Drac is still carrying wounds from meeting with Wolf but it doesn’t slow him down. It’s the usual bragging from Reynard B. Guile afterwards and bold predictions of another belt run.

GWF REPORT (CIVIL WAR 2099 CARDS 613 - 616)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Alpha Force (Top Contender: Monad) * GWF Tag Champs: Superiority Complex (Top Contenders: Gamemasters) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Holocaust (Top Contender: Enigma)
Latest News:
Literally a week after appearing to smooth things over there are now more controversial comments from Defender of the Realm. True to his unpredictable nature he turns on the Collector again and says the Collector is too elderly and frail to be his manager. The Collector says Defender’s attitude is not helping the team and he is tired of the whole saga but for now has agreed not to accompany him to ringside and that he arranges his own matches. Defender is also ready to feud with Splatter after a daring rescue to help Jack during a lottery attack. Unfortunately it was still a violent assault that put Jack in hospital and out of action for up to 10 cards. The feud will have to simmer whilst Splatter serves out a suspension. Commissioner Carter had to act before Splatter sidelined too many wrestlers.
Champions team win the hearts of the galaxy as they pledge to donate their salaries for the remainder of the year to charity. Star Warrior is the spokesperson. On a popular news show he appears and tells the hosts “We are so privileged to be doing something we love and get paid well for it. There are billions in the galaxy not so fortunate. If we can try and give something back to help we will”. There is talk of a big end of year to be held with names like GALACTICAID and THE BRAWL TO HELP THEM ALL being tossed up. No details yet but it could show a softer side to many wrestlers if they get involved.
Big match coming up as Alpha Force and Raven team up to face Doomsayer and Monad. This is a feud that has been developing over the last few cards and part of a big build towards a rematch between Alpha Force and Monad on #620 for the Heavyweight belt. Can Alpha Force resist this huge challenge?
The Civil War is getting interesting. The Vangaurd were rapidly losing ground but since OTB there has been an amazing turnaround and success for Mayhem and Vengeance over Wolf and Spike has probably evened things up. If anything the Vanguard may of nudged their noses in front. It’s no secret Thakur was impressed by Deadly Challenge triumphing at OTB and seems to favour the new breed of Gladiators. With the arrival of Overkill happening soon it could tip the scales in favour of the Vanguard. 2100 is going to be big not only for the Gladiators but the whole GWF as we see how this plays out.
WHOSE HOT - Alpha Force, Holocaust, Terak, Mayhem, Pulsar Prime, Enigma WHOSE NOT - Ram, Justice, Heracles, Cannibal, Pharoah Khety, Mercenaries INJURED - Draconian Sheik (2); Wildcat (5); Jack of Diamonds (7); SUSPENDED – Splatter (9)
Wrestler of the Month: ALPHA FORCE - A real fighting champion as he wrestles title matches and non-title matches in equal measure. Backing down from no-one. He is barely recognisable from the troubled star of over a year back. Even before the physical problems he was always flattering to deceive. Superstar stats but very little in the way of belt success to back it all up. Now he is on form with his popularity soaring.
Tag Team of the Month: VANITY AND KILLER QUEEN - No stand out teams this month. They just about fend off the likes of the Pillars and Millenium for the award because they made a big statement and turned some heads. Their win over the Beastriders (who have been hot) got them off to an impressive start. Just might be dark horses for a run at the titles given how experienced they are and how well they compliment each other.

Card 617 – Phobos Sundome:
Janus and the Matador completely own Retribution in a FRIGHT NIGHT rematch. Dark patch for the FDF as they rack up losses. In this match it only takes a few minutes for Janus to finish Dreadnaught via GORDION KNOT. The Citadel team just has too much for class for Sam’s troops. Commander Sam scratching his head, lately the FDF is struggling badly as they are barely keeping their heads above water. Like many other teams at the moment the mood isn’t the most harmonious. They need to try bounce back and quickly
Heracles defeated Mayhem in another quick match. Mayhem goes for a fast finish and sets up LEAP OF DOOM. He misses the target and Heracles brushes off the cobwebs and props a wobbly Mayhem up. He runs into him with OLYMPIA twice for a big win. The humiliating recent loss to Chaos now a distant memory
Dragonmaster defeated Pharoah Khety with DRAGON DROP. Bishop Hell tries to interfere in the match and help Khety ambush Dragon Master but the plan fails. Bishop Hell bemoans Khety, “the idea was to ambush Dragon Master and stuff him into a sarcophagus that had been brought into the loading bay but my lousy partner couldn’t even manage that”. Pharoah Khety seeks urgent counselling from the Occult Overlord when he hears how disappointed his partner is with him. Khety is cradled by the Overlord as he tells him “I thought he was my friend. I’m sure he couldn’t of meant it. He probably doesn’t realise how mentally difficult it is seeing your own murderer face to face”
Mesmer pinned Ursa Major after a sunset flip. Entertaining match up full of fast moves which is always too close to call. Both having moments with their finishers. Ursa Major has the last laugh as Mesmer (looking to put his name back on the GWF map) tries to setup a Brotherhood initiation ritual inside the ring. The Overlord joins him as they attempt to convert Ursa Major. The young Titan pretends he is still groggy and plays along waiting until they turn their backs. Trainer Jim who was watching the whole episode grabs the Overlord’s staff and throws it to Ursa Major who knocks them both down leaving them in a heap. Johnny Rocket nabs the two Titans for a quick word just as they return to the back and Ursa Major says “I’m not the shy and retiring type they think I am. Trying to convert me to their ridiculous cause was a mistake. We Titans don’t condone unprovoked attacks but they were trying to humiliate me and got what they deserved”
Killing Machine pinned Pollux. Some wrestlers choose to finish Pollux as quick as they can whilst others see it as practice and prolong the match to hone their abilities. Killing Machine chooses the latter but the way he wrestles (constantly tossing Pollux over the top rope) is more suggestive that he is enjoying just hurting his opponent. He gets a nasty shock when Pollux actually manages to send him into the ring post at one point and briefly makes a fight of it. Of course it doesn’t last and Killing Machine having vanquished the fightback suddenly decides he better get things finished off. A ring shuddering elbow smash putting and end to it
The Creeper defeated Demon by DQ. Hydra comes to ringside with his partner whilst Creeper comes alone. It’s a decision Demon may now regret as his partner costs him the match after needlessly attacking Creeper. Demon was in complete control at the point and didn’t need his help.
Card 618 – NETWORK DEIMOS WRESTLING – Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
Tag champs, Superiority Complex, beat the Gamemasters on a DQ decision. The champs take their arrogance to a new level by insisting their manager, Morpheus, go up to the VIP box to watch proceedings in luxury. They are so over confident in their abilities and insist they need no managerial instructions to beat these two old men. As it happens they only escape with the belts by the skin of their teeth. The Gamemasters are in perfect sync and dominate from the opening bell. Prodigy just about kicks out after being knocked silly with COSMIC BIG BANG. Unable to get the tag out Prodigy is there to be finished off. Star Warrior tags in partner but Thantos loses them the match. Prodigy bails outside in desperation and Thantos goes after him rather then waiting for him to crawl back in. Thantos is seeing red as the panting Prodigy calls him a servant to Omega and Star Warrior. The comments touched a nerve as Thantos reaches for the the nearest weapon (brass knuckles) which were sneakily dropped by Skinhead. Thantos take the carrot as he grabs them and knocks Prodigy out with one punch. The bell immediately rings and Thantos knows what he has done causing him to storm off almost in tears. He refuses interviews leaving Star Warrior to speak on his behalf “my partner and I are devastated as the outcome costs us a chance to immediately challenge for the belts again. But I would of done exactly the same. We win and lose as a team and will come after the titles again. We are not too old yet”
Enigma defeats Holocaust to become the new IP champ. Although the match contract stipulates nobody is allowed ringside Darkos uses his acting skills to go undercover as a timekeeping assistant. He doesn’t have to move a muscle as the match is a formality for Enigma. A few minutes of ebb and flow but then Enigma manages to work Holocaust outside. With lightening precision he nails FEET OF FURY and it’s all over. We have an exciting new champion
Titan Death Match, Alpha Force and Raven defeated Doomsayer and Monad. First blood to Alpha Force as his battle with Monad is the main theme of the match with Raven and Doomsayer merely cast in supporting roles. He dominates Monad and wins it for his team easily after using an abdominal stretch. The fact Monad had so many arms actually made it easier for Alpha Force to apply the hold and get leverage on it to maximise the pain. Made Monad look more like a mouse than a monster in this warm up for their title match. Doomsayer claims the result is meaningless and that Monad is simply saving energy for their singles clash
Exo-King beat Chaos by DQ. The arrogant Chaos trying to put the fear factor back into the GWF with another crushing win. But finds it’s not so easy against someone like Exo-King who can almost match him for power. After a hair raising start that nearly humiliated him Chaos takes control only to find BOW OF DEFEAT ineffective against Exo-King who manages to hulk up and break fee. Chaos gets frustrated and ends up smashing Exo-King illegally on the outside to lose the match. Stomping off he says matches like this are beneath him and he should never of signed the contract in the first place. He’d rather lose the match than waste time wrestling what he calls enhancement talent
Spike beat Vengeance by DQ. Thakur should of made this a special match. Vengeance is such a sick individual that never plays by the rules that a clean finish was never likely. Sure enough he pulls out a spiked object concealed in his boots and uses it against Spike as soon as he feels the bout has got away from him
The Mercenaries go over US. Patriot and Justice by DQ. The FDF have been on a horrible run so Sam shuffles his pack whilst Krakan is looking for a reaction from his team. He goes on air hours before the show saying his team has gone soft and they need prove themselves to him otherwise he might be looking for new wrestlers to become Hitmen. With so much riding on this for both teams it’s a real nail biter. The main battle in the match was between US. Patriot and Vigilante. Adam did everything but pin Vigilante as he hits him with virtually his whole move set. Vigilante is rocking but somehow clings to survival. Sadly for the FDF duo Justice is in a mega slump. He was tagged in by Adam and dropped their advantageous position. He allowed Vigilante a defensive tag and was getting pounded by Soldier of Fortune. He had to bail outside where he then grabbed Soldier of Fortune and slammed him into the concrete floor when followed. Neither manager comes away satisfied with their teams
Cage Match, Ram beats Quasar with RAM CHARGE. Some memorable matches between these two in the past but this was not one of them. The Overlord fails to even discuss the match in the build up interview. Ram looks perplexed as his leader just rants on about what happened on the last card and how those ‘Savage Titans’ injured Mesmer (2) in an unprovoked attack. In the match itself not a lot happens and it probably goes on too long. Quasar does well at first as he mixes up his style to adapt to the cage but the brutality of the match eventually overwhelms him and Ram stumbles to the win. The Overlord finally makes comment on the match the next day but only to cast more criticism on the Titans for their style and how Quasar was using barbaric cage smashes during the bout. Quasar pops back “it’s a cage match. It’s what you gotta do! Doesn’t mean I’m some kind of rule breaker”
Cannibal defeated Killer Queen. Match signed before Queenie’s recent heel turn but neither backs down. Cannibal is cocky and predicts an easy victory as Queenie won’t want to hurt an ally. The crowd are on Queenie’s side as he slips briefly back into a face role. Despite being the underdog Killer Queen makes a good effort before succumbing to THROAT SLIT.

DARK MATCHES ... at the Rigel Nova Pavillion
Bishop Hell defeated Pulsar Prime with HELLFIRE. Easy pickings for Bishop Hell revelling in a singles appearance. He is vowing to do the same when they meet again on #619 in front of a larger audience. The Overlord is guaranteeing victory and says it can give Bishop Hell the big singles push he craves
Wolf barely has to get out of first gear in beating Skinhead. He puts his legendary SAVAGE FACE CLAW on him to seal the win. Wolf taunts Skinhead “he may be a tag champion but on his own he is no match for the rage of Wolf”
Titan Wrestling beat Darkos and Enigma. The Titans are fed up seeing Enigma parading around with his new IP belt as if he is the greatest thing in the galaxy. They give him a reminder that winning matches still comes down to hard work. Although Enigma is in usual form swooping about the ring and using FEET OF FURY on Ursa Major the match turns on an incident. Lord Nexus tries for a pin save (as every tag team has a right to do). Enigma gets up to trash talk with him. Lord Nexus has his back turned so Darkos grabs a chair to clobber him. Lord Nexus has too much experience and senses something like this could happen. With the help of a signal from Trainer Jim he ducks leaving Enigma to take the impact. The ref is about to award the match to the Titans by DQ but Lord Nexus convinces him to let things continue. Ursa Major is now in a better state and crawls over to put himself on top of Enigma for the pin. Darkos is dismayed and chastises the cheating Titans. He moans “Lord Nexus is a pretty good actor. Plays the honourable good guy but deep down he is a villain”
Cosmic Rangers defeat Asylum. Cosmic Rangers surviving PSYCHOTHERAPY to fight back to a lucky DQ win. As is usual when they pull off a rare win both Astro Turk and Bart start thinking they are a top ranked team and laughably demands a shot at the belts
Pillars of Power continue to look strong as they beat the Beastriders when Terak is counted-out against Dynamo
Kati beats Grunge. Bog standard match til Grunge goes and gets himself DQ’d for trying to smash Kati with his electric guitar.
DARK MATCHES ... at the Achernar Technodrome
The Mercenaries best the New Order in the main event. Two underperforming teams serve up a thriller. Mace fights ferociously (which is more than can be said of his partner) but gets caught by OPERATION: AMBUSH. Dreggs tried to make the pin save but like most of efforts earlier in the match he is off his step and too slow to help. Mace looks a bit fed up when he recovers but then pats his partner on the back when Dreggs explains what happened and how he got ambushed. Probably just as well it’s a dark match so Mace cannot watch it back
Justice beats Thunder by DQ for a small morale boost. Commander Sam gives public backing to Justice on a GWF talk show to help build his confidence up again. He calls Justice probably the greatest tag team wrerstlers he has had the pleasure to manage and has every confidence that Retribution can reach greater heights than even the legendary Code of Honor
Gemini defeated Colussus by DQ as the Cyborg shows his wild side and punishes him in the ring. Gemini looks a worried man as Colussus hurls him around. With no Omega at the card to try and keep him calm Colussus can be a loose cannon. In a sideshow Gemini reads the tarot cards of Colussus predicting pain and betrayal in his future
Mutant beats Spike by DQ. Another blot on the Legends copybook but in truth Spike was absolutely battering Mutant. His actions against what he calls a low form of life were cruel to the extent the ref called time on the bout
Psycho goes over Pegasus by DQ. Battle barely goes over a minute. Psycho pushes Pegasus over and goes for an elbow drop that is so slow that it misses the mark. Pegasus gets the advantage but is so disgusted by Psycho he grabs the BBQ grill that was brought to the ring (Psycho was planning to grill some sausages for the fans after the match although whether he would of shared them is questionable). He brings it down on Psycho’s head and cops the DQ
Marcel de Sade finishes Pollux with THUMBSCREW. He then takes offence to murmurings of heavy betting on an upset loss due to the fact de Sade is showing a lot of wear and tear on his body these days, “delusional public, I can still grapple with the best of them”.

Card 619 – Spica Pyramid:
(FIRE INCIDENTS DOMINATE THE SHOW. The Generation X promo sets off smoke detectors in the media centre and of course the Bishop Hell burning of Pulsar Prime causes a massive commotion. Some bad publicity for the GWF. Commissioner Carter admitting there is a lot pressure on his shoulders and gives hints that maybe he should retire and hand control to a younger Commissioner)
6 man tag action, Savage Kingdom (Beastriders and Stalker) beats the Masked Assassins (Darkos, Vyper and Enigma) by DQ. The crowd is a bit mute after the shocking incident in the last match but the Savage Kingdom does it’s best to give them something to cheer. Terak is fed up with hearing about this exciting Assassin youth and how Enigma has been going around flaunting his recently acquired IP belt. Terak says he is going to hustle them all the way in the match. He delivers on his promise and keeps his hot form going. He is on it right from the opening bell. The Masked Assassins never get a chance to get going. Darkos knows they are headed for a damaging defeat and wrestles for the DQ loss. Unpopular move but Darkos says “in the acting world I learned it’s sometimes better to take a bad script and put your own spin on it. By avoiding a pin defeat we can say that we changed the intended ending for the better and look forward to the sequel”
Pulsar Prime dominates Bishop Hell and finishes it with SOLAR STRAIN. Bishop Hell and the Overlord were frustrated having guaranteed victory in their interviews. The crushing manner of defeat particularly embarrassing for them. The Overlord tries to argue that his man never submitted to the ref with Trainer Jim soon joining the debate. Meanwhile Pulsar Prime is celebrating his victory and outside starts shaking hands and signing autographs with fans. Bishop Hell is agitated inside the ring and rather than leave quietly decides to confront Pulsar Prime and they argue it out over whether the match should be continued. Bishop Hell is seen making an adjustment to his right glove before continuing the argument. He raises his right hand as if threatening to use HELLFIRE prompting Pulsar Prime to grab his wrist. Suddenly a ray of fire comes out the glove straight into Pulsar Prime’s eyes and nearby fans feel the heat. This is not the synthetic fire Bishop Hell usually emits but instead real flames. Pulsar Prime immediately falls to the ground clutching his face in excruciating agony. The ref rushes out and Bishop Hell says Pulsar Prime triggered it himself before being pulled away by the Overlord and leaving. Trainer Jim comes to Pulsar Prime’s aid and quickly gestures for urgent medical help. A team of people swarm round and tend to him before eventually lifting him backstage with bandages all round Pulsar Prime’s head. Things looking real bad
Metalhead defeats Dreggs with METALHEAD MAULER. As if things at intense enough already Grunge throws more fat on the fire by cutting a promo where he presents a family photo and rips it up. Then tosses it into a garbage can and pours lighter fluid on it before setting it alight. He quips “I am burning the past but now I have a burning desire to put you in the hospital”. Intense build up and both partners are ringside ready to wreak havoc. It’s a classic and there’s even an outright winner. Grunge is influential in helping Metalhead get the better of this round against his twin brother. More matches please cause that was great
Retribution beat Vanity and Killer Queen (aka Glamour and Glitz) after Killer Queen falls to Heavy Artillery. Continual showboating from Vanity rather than any actual proper wrestling contribute to the downfall of his team. Much better from the FDF boys but they will need to beat more highly regarded teams than this to convince everyone a turnaround of fortunes is complete
Gamemasters overcome the Demons of Hydra. The Demons continue to wrestle without their masks. After a promising start they falter against the legendary duo. Star Warrior connects on Demon with COSMIC BIG BANG to grab the win. Demons are not gracious in defeat and complain to ref that Thantos should earlier of been disqualified for bumping Hydra into the side of the ring. With no regular manager or bodyguard to cause distractions the Demons switch is a forgotten ruse. Darkos may need to address this to enhance their chances of success in 2100
Death’s Head pinned Holocaust with FUNERAL MARCH. Holocaust trying to adapt to life without the IP belt finds his form has deserted him. He buckles alarmingly against Death’s Head spiteful and sadistic style and barely musters any offence. Death’s Head enjoys torturing him in the ring and cruises to victory.

Johnny Rocket’s Launching Pad … Omega
Massive crowd reaction to the legendary Omega appearing on the show. Takes several minutes for the hysteria to die down to a level where things can get started. Johnny shakes his guest’s hand and then commences. He is soon ruffling a few feathers with his probing questions. No-one is safe on his show from interrogations whether they are hero or villain. Omega spends quite a bit of time heavily promoting GALACTICAID. Also heaps criticism on the vile Pulsar Prime attack. Edited highlights below. Johnny Rocket: “I want to discuss the big charity event that you are tirelessly working on. Are you doing this for yourself? It’s a good cause but some could say it’s because you want your team to be in the limelight all the time. Your guys seem to be booked pretty favourably in the night’s biggest matches”
Omega: “It’s a brash comment Johnny. I know you are just doing your job as a good reporter and show host. I assure you that’s got nothing to do with it. My team and I care deeply for our fans and people across the galaxy. Ever since the Galactic Wars I have been aware my responsibilities as a role model and also the fact I am in a fortunate position where I can help people. My team shares that view.”
Johnny Rocket: “Morpheus thinks differently. I think he posted something the other day and quickly removed it. Saying your hand is in the till and your keeping a big chunk of the profits for yourself”
Omega: “Of course that’s baloney. Deep down Morpheus knows that. He is just trying to stir things up. I hope for one night he can put his arrogant outlook to the side and send some of his guys to wrestle. The bigger the matches the better the event will be. As much as I don’t like saying it but the Citadel are a huge draw. We need them competing. I don’t think I’ll bother asking the unpredictable Gladiators though. End of the day I just want it to be a happy event that helps as many people as possible”
Johnny Rocket: “Ok, well said Omega. I’m sure it’s going to be great. Can I ask what you make of the burning of Pulsar Prime? A man you once managed in the FDF yourself. Can he come back from this?”
Omega: “I really hope so. When I was his manager almost a decade ago his determination and willingness to learn really resonated with me. He was so talented and a pleasure to work with. I feel so much for him. What Bishop Hell did was deplorable and I certainly don’t believe it was an accident. The Champions are always willing to help our Titan friends out. Trainer Jim knows he only needs to call”
Johnny Rocket: “I think there will be no shortage of teams ready to help. Bishop Hell is neck and neck with Splatter in the battle for the most hated prize. Neither man features highly in the all time belt lists but they seem to court the most controversy. Anyway one final question if I may. You’ve been a successful wrestler and manager. You don’t have anything to prove. How long will you go on for?”
Omega: “I honestly cannot see that I will ever be in a position of wanting to retire. The GWF is in my blood. I just love wrestling and I would miss it so much if it wasn’t there for me. I wish I was still young enough to compete in the ring but watching my team be successful gives me the same satisfaction”
Johnny Rocket: “It’s refreshing speaking with someone like you Omega. Some managers seem to just drone on. We did a pilot show with the Overlord last year and it was like Chinese water torture listening to his nonsensical religious rantings. You truly are a GWF legend with a heart of gold. It’s an honour to share the mic with you and hear you speaking. All the best for GALACTICAID. Hope it’s a big success”

*AFTER THE BELL*
All the current news surrounds Pulsar Prime’s condition after the fiery attack from Bishop Hell. Confirmed details are scarce but according to his own sources Johnny Rocket has said that the burns to his eyes are so severe he may not be able to see again. This is of course casts huge doubts on his ability to ever return to ring action. The Fighting Titans are supporting Pulsar Prime every step of the way and Trainer Jim says they will do all they can to aid his recovery. Pulsar Prime is grateful to his friends but says the best way they can help him is to get back in the ring and win the feud with the Brotherhood. Even if has to listen to matches on the radio he will be behind them. The action will be immediate as Dragonmaster has signed to face Bishop Hell on the very next card. He wanted it be booked as a Titan Death match but the Occult Overlord refused. Dragonmaster promo “Bishop Hell and his manager have shown what cowards they are but if this is what it takes to get him in the ring then a regular match it is. I don’t want to pass up the opportunity and I guess I may need to think about my singles career now my partner is sidelined. It’s a match I need to win for so many reasons”.
Card 620 – Spica Pyramid:
Heavyweight champ, Alpha Force, defeated Monad in a match where no-one is allowed at ringside. He sets a new record for fastest ever win. Timed at less than 10 seconds he immediately smashes Monad with a Running Star Blast. Monad is taken by surprise and instantly pinned. Bitterness shown by Doomsayer in the aftermath who says the ruling any two of Monad’s shoulders can be pinned is a ploy to keep the belt out of their hands and responsible for this humiliation, “the GWF has never liked our kind, even when we were the Galactic Rebels we had to deal with this kind of treatment”. Clearly he is trying to hide his embarrassment and make excuses for the miserable failure of his creation to bring the Heavyweight belt into the team
Millenium beats Superiority Complex by DQ in a non-title match. Maybe Millenium are the team to step up to the plate and challenge Superiority Complex for the belts. They were awesome in this match and only prevented from a clean victory as Prodigy interferes against Colussus (who was tearing strips out of Skinhead at the time)
Hitman Match, the Gamemasters defeated the Mercenaries. The dying embers of the recent contract on the Champions team. The two teams looking to release frustrations over persistent failures to grab the tag belts and topple Superiority Complex. For Krakan though there is more concern over possible money loss as this has not been a very profitable contract. He is left counting more losses as his team slides to another defeat. Vigilante barely got a look in as his partner Soldier of Fortune got a real going over. The Gamemasters putting recent disappointment behind him to dominate with Star Warrior putting the finishing touch on Soldier of Fortune via COSMIC BIG BANG. Not bad for two old geezers
Tendron over Mace by DQ. Tendron shows again how he can take a lot of punishment. All those beatings from guards when he was in prison many years ago probably the reason. Tendron making noise about wanting to break out from his bodyguard role and return to full time wrestling
Terak pinned Darkos after getting out of the way of a deathjump. It’s been a good year for Terak
Bishop Hell beat Dragonmaster by DQ. Lots of heat directed towards Bishop Hell with the fire incident that injured Pulsar Prime still raw. At the moment he is free to wrestle as Commissioner Carter battles with the Overlord’s lawyers over disciplinary action. Bishop Hell may of been moody over his role in the Brotherhood but he is now thrust right into the spotlight and is a prime candidate for most hated wrestler of the year. The match gets a big build up but fizzles to a limp ending. Uncharacteristic Titan behaviour is shown by Dragonmaster. Angered by his partner’s injury he goes hardcore and breaks the rules by using a chain wrapped around his wrist. Bishop Hell is bloodied in the ring as a result. Trainer Jim doesn’t try to pull a distraction but reminds Dragonmaster after the match that this is not the Titan way and the best way to punish Bishop Hell for what he did is to beat him cleanly in the ring.

‘STARS OF THE GALAXY - VOLUME THREE’ released.
(Mealtime with Monad. Demonstrates how dinner time is a breeze with four arms. During a lavish banquet for the Entropy team laid on by a function hall on Cygnus he shows how he can cut his food whilst drinking wine and also signing autographs. Impressive stuff but then some joker throws him four balls and challenges Monad to juggle them. He gets his arms in a knot and fails miserably at the challenge; Footage from the Collector’s retirement party. Many GWF personnel attend and surprisingly villains like Cannibal and Chopper Mattock show up. They are grateful to him for transforming their images and improving their wrestling many years ago. Exo-King gives a speech praising him for his work and even draws a few laughs as he recites some tales from the Court. But what happened next is no laughing matter as Defender hands the Collector a gift on behalf of the team which he unwraps only for a glove to spring out and punch the old man right in the face. The Collector is knocked clean out and suddenly the cameras stop rolling; The final extra pits old buddies Omega and Commander Sam meeting up on Earth for a round of golf. Highlights show the pair getting ultra competitive and Sam nearly blows his top as Omega wins the final hole and does a COSMIC WAR DANCE celebration across the green. “I am fed up with being second best to Omega” moans Sam as he returns to the clubhouse. Luckily Sam’s mood changes when a swarm of locals surround him desperate to be pictured with their hero and show little interest in Omega. Finally Sam outdoes his old buddy in the popularity stakes)
Brute and Massacre defeat Millenium by DQ. Heracles and Colussus are one of the emerging teams in the GWF. Their star is on the rise. They could of had a big scalp here but Heracles, after magnificently kicking out after DECAPITATOR, makes an error of judgement. Thinking the ref would turn a blind eye to any transgressions against violent villains he arms himself with a Greek vase intending to break it over the Gladiator’s heads. The bell rings and he is left slapping the canvas in frustration
US Patriot crushed Monad with ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST. More humiliation for Monad lasting under a minute. Adam on the brink of an IP title shot after discovering a rich vein of form
Retribution wrestles Draconian Sheik and Reynard B. Guile to a double DQ. Crazy booking as B. Guile dons the wrestling tights. Retribution can’t wait to get their hands on him but he never steps in the ring. Things get maddening as Dreadnaught and Drac slug it out in a full scale brawl
Janus pinned Holocaust after Cosmic Romp. Two guys recently shunted out of the belt picture. Both with something to prove but in the end Janus is a comfortable winner
Defender of the Realm defeated Vanity with DEFENDER CANNON. Defender gets into spat with Vanity for poaching Killer Queen from the Court. Vanity comes close to an upset here. Cassandra is his choice of girl and she makes an impression allowing Vanity to use LADIES CHOICE twice but it doesn’t quite lead to the elusive pin
Exo-King beat Mutant by DQ. Cannibal carries a bucket of chicken bones to the ring whilst leading Mutant on a chain. Mutant is dribbling over it’s contents. Cannibal then throws the bucket towards Exo-King and lets Mutant off the leash. The regal one fights off the frenzied attacks and despite the vile chicken smell victory looks an imminent formality. That is until Cannibal runs in behind Exo-King and sticks the bucket over his head. He then pulls out a huge bone that could of come from a dinosaur (that’s how big it was) and clouts the bucket with terrifying force. Exo-King complains about ringing in his ears for days afterwards
Wolf beat Pharoah Khety with SAVAGE FACE CLAW. It was a surprise strong showing by Khety and he even got a pinning attempt in. Although Wolf comfortably kicked out the minor scare seems to galvanise him and he begins to take total control. With the match won he turns his attention to the Overlord, whose religious beliefs irritate him, and makes a claw gesture with his hand. The freaks the Occult leader out who quickly leaves ringside without a second thought for Pharoah Khety
Cassandra upsets Amazonia with a Stud Stomp directly responsible for the pin. Killer Queen was at ringside strutting. He was also very involved in the match saving Cassandra after AMAZON ATTACK. Credit to Cassandra that she fought back and the moves that led to her eventual surprising victory were all her own work.

GWF REPORT (CIVIL WAR 2099 CARDS 617 - 620)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Alpha Force (Top Contender: Wolf) * GWF Tag Champs: Superiority Complex (Top Contenders: Millenium) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Enigma (Top Contender: US. Patriot)
Latest News:
Bishop Hell has gone too far this time with HELLFIRE. Bishop Hell claims Pulsar Prime triggered it accidentally himself. Plus the Overlord has paid top lawyers to help take the ‘heat’ off. They have claimed Pulsar Prime made an aggressive after match movement in grabbing Bishop Hell’s wrist and activated the blast of non synthetic fire. Bishop Hell has been painted as being blameless. It left Commissioner Carter pretty powerless other than to issue a one month suspension. The shockwaves are seismic. Grim outlook for Pulsar Prime whi is out of action indefinitely and may never regain sight.
Life imitates art as Dreggs and Metalhead clash outside the GWF during a family reunion. A long lost Uncle from Maxus watches their match and invites them to meet for a drink in Spica. Neither aware the other is coming. He thinks if he can get them talking over a pint they might bury their differences. Good intentions but there is no brotherly love and reports surface of a massive bar brawl. Emotions were highly charged after their match the previous day and they were just not ready for this. It did not help that Grunge gatecrashed. Awful scenes that ended with Dreggs being treated for a facial wound after a bottle smash and rumours of arrests. It’s not clear how many spent the night in cells. The GWF is unhappy at the incident and violence happening outside the ring. They want to brush the incident under the carpet but the episode is soon reported in tabloids and mobile footage of the fight goes online. It soon gets censored but any hopes to try and hush the incident are dashed. All that has happened is the feud between New Order and Generation X goes up a notch on the intensity scale.
Who is next for Alpha Force? His astonishing win over Monad is one of the GWFs notable moments.
Not content with getting the Collector to stay away from ringside the Defender creates more animosity saying “the Collector is nothing but a crook. The only reason he is now retiring is because half his artifacts are hot. Stolen goods from other collectors and museums across the galaxy”. The Collector calls it slander. He takes him to court in a case called ‘THE JESTER VERSUS THE COLLECTOR’. This rift is moving into dodgy territory now the courts are involved. The Collector wants to put a gagging order on the Defender. He says “Defender cannot be trusted. His recent actions have been unpredictable and he needs to be silenced before he does serious damage to reputations. He needs to be in a mental institution before he inflicts harm to others. Maybe Psycho and Frenzy can recommend somewhere”.
The road to GALACTICAID begins and it’s already a sell out. Will the GWF allow belts to be defended at the event? Omega is keeping some of the booked matches a mystery. He does admit his own team will feature prominently but seeing as his son is the current Heavyweight champ it is to be expected.
WHOSE HOT – Exo-King, Wolf, Enigma, Alpha Force, Metalhead, Pillars of Power, the Gamemasters WHOSE NOT – Monad, Doomsayer, Holocaust, Dreggs, Pharoah Khety, Retribution, Demons of Hydra INJURED - Jack of Diamonds (3); Pulsar Prime (?); SUSPENDED – Splatter (5)
Wrestler of the Month: ENIGMA - Both singles champions were the shining stars but Enigma shades it for his dazzling skills.
Tag Team of the Month: THE GAMEMASTERS - Both Omega’s teams looking good with the old boys particularly impressing.

*BETWEEN THE ROPES*
Maxine Babe has suggested that Vanity and Killer Queen change their team name to Flamboyance to better reflect their styles. Cassandra didn’t like the idea and wanted them to be called the Dominatrix Dudes but Vanity completely ignored her suggestion. She feels her opinion is worth nothing and Vanity much prefers Maxine Babe and her ample assets. “I’m going back to be with Pegasus and Dynamo. If they will have me. I made a mistake going back with Vanity. He is always trying his smooth moves on other women right in front of me and called me mutton dressed as lamb the other day. What a jerk”.
US. Patriot going after the IP belt held by Enigma. After coming up badly short early last year when pursuing the Heavyweight belt Adam thinks he is better suited contesting the secondary belt and has been steadily rising in the IP rankings. Dreadnaught (who is now on the verge of leaving the FDF) criticises Commander Sam’s tactics by saying “Sam obviously doesn’t think Adam is strong enough to win the main belt and I agree but why isn’t he giving me a big singles push? It’s clear that teaming me with Justice as Retribution hasn’t worked. I’m a singles star and the only one capable of capturing that belt. As of now I’m considering my options for next year but I don’t think me and Sam can carry on. We have different ideas of what’s good for the team”. Justice is defensive of Sam and thinks Dreadnaught has struggled to adapt to tag wrestling ever since the TRANSEVOLVER incident. On paper it should of been a great team considering their past success in teams like the Galacticops, Code of Honor, the Henchmen and Alien Corps but in this case not a winning formula. Justice even suggests he might like to try and form a team with US. Patriot in 2100 (assuming Adam isn’t holding onto a singles belt).
Card 621 – STRIVE TO SURVIVE – Nereid Starplex:
(This year the event takes the format of BATTLEZONE matches with three wrestlers on each side. With teams aiming to have the most remaining members. The popularity of these type of matches among the fans is what has prompted this. Teams will take on their current feud rivals so some managers have to make big decisions on which wrestlers to pick. Omega makes a big call in not picking Thantos whilst Morpheus goes for singles stars over his mega successful tag champions. Managers will not be allowed at ringside. For the surviving or unused members one final match of survival will take place with the traditional hero and villain sides in Titan Death matches. Although some wrestlers who make big contributions may not make the final showpiece match this should guarantee everyone will wrestle at least one match. All tokens accumulated by surviving wrestlers will be carried forward)
ADDED ATTRACTION:
Heavyweight champ, Alpha Force, keeps up his amazing run by beating Wolf. Significant that Wolf is able to break away from Civil War to challenge for the Heavyweight belt. Has he gone against Thakur’s wishes or are the Gladiators back in the hunt for the gold? If it is the latter then he will be regretting his actions as he has nothing to show for it. Alpha Force dominant and using TOMAHAWK THRUST to take victory in a short match. It brings the curtain down on a memorable year.
BATTLEZONE MATCHES:
Citadel of the Elite (Janus, Matador, Chaos) easily beats the Champions (Colussus, Star Warrior, Heracles); Janus pins Colussus. Entertaining opener with Colussus first to go after being hit with Champion Super Drop; Janus really carrying the fight to the Champions as he polished off Star Warrior with GORDION KNOT. Omega’s team looking toothless; Janus sweeps it for the Citadel as he beats Heracles. It was the toughest match so far for Janus but his technical ability handled Heracles. He will carry one token into the final Battlezone survival match. Big bragging rights for Morpheus here whilst Omega admits his team missed Alpha Force (busy defending belt)
Entropy (Doomsayer, Grunge, Monad) beat WAR (Holocaust, Raven, Dreggs). Dreggs shows the scars of a recent fist fight with Generation X on Spica sporting stitches in a cheek wound. When Johnny Rocket asks him about them in the pre match interview some GWF staff move in and stop the cameras. Johnny later repeats the interview but seems to be gagged about bringing the recent bar brawl as he makes no mention of the scars second time around. In the first match, Doomsayer eliminates Holocaust by DQ. Resourceful effort from Holocaust as he took a beating and saw FUTURESHOCK but refused to be pinned; Doomsayer surprises Raven in a quicker match via FUTURESHOCK. Great work from the criminal mastermind and only carrying two tokens into the match with Dreggs; Dreggs takes advantage of a tiring Doomsayer to beat him with TWIST AND SHOUT. The win spares his team’s blushes ands prevent another villain cleansweep. Start of a stirring fight back perhaps?; Dreggs is like a man possessed and beats Grunge by DQ. The recent bar brawl adds to the intensity and a the match spills outside and out of control. Both are consumed with rage but Dreggs stays the calmer of the two and resists reaching for weapons which means he emerges as the victor; Monad wins against Dreggs who has no answer to his devastating offence. The crowd tries to lift Dreggs and he does well to survive as long as he does but when locked in QUADRUPLE CLAMP a second time it’s curtains. Monad had a point to prove after a disastrous recent run at the Heavyweight belt
The Gladiator Vanguard (Vengeance, Thunder, Mayhem) defeats the Gladiator Legends (Spike, Massacre, Brute). Some angst as Thakur says the Legends will wrestle on the hero side if they win whilst the Vanguard would represent the villain team. The Legends don’t see themselves as heroes and are unhappy with this. Will it affect their commitment to the match? Most eagerly awaited match of the night gets off to a slow start. Spike goes over Vengeance by DQ; Thunder wins an epic against Spike. Extremely impressive from Thunder; Massacre puts the Legends back in the driving seat as he beats Thunder with THE CLEANSING; Mayhem eliminates Massacre via DANGER ZONE to setup a winner takes all decider against Brute. The Vanguard look slight favourites now; Mayhem beats Brute with a spine smasher in the best match of all. Brute comes close as he nails BRUTE FORCE twice and even gets out the path of LEAP OF DOOM but Mayhem is not to be denied. He goes to the final match a bloody mess. The villains romping the event so far with five qualifying wrestlers and nobody on the hero side. Still five more Battlezone matches to go so plenty time for things to improve for the heroes (or get worse!!!)
The Brotherhood (Ram, Gemini, Mesmer) defeated the Fighting Titans (Dragonmaster, Lord Nexus, Quasar). There’s a pre match buzz. What a difference a year makes. Although recent happenings have marred things for the Titans at last year’s event things were a nightmare. So much so that Trainer Jim had to step in the ring. They are much more confident this time round but .... things start badly. Ram finished Dragonmaster with RAM CHARGE; Ram does the same to Lord Nexus. Ram finds Lord Nexus tougher and picks up two tokens. All on Quasar’s shoulders now; Ram beats Quasar by DQ. The Titan star gets too aggressive trying to salvage the match and loses. Trainer Jim thinks the decision is harsh and it was just a cavalier style that Quasar was using. However decision stands and it’s another villain sweep. Disaster for again for the Titans and the hero team. Currently outnumbered 8 to 0
King’s Court (Killer Queen, Defender, Exo-King) beat the Renegades (Mutant, Death’s Head, Cannibal). Killer Queen rejoins the Court for one night only to help his old friend Exo-King out. He’s not much help. In the opener, Mutant beat Killer Queen by DQ. Queenie wrestling like a heel and sprays glitter in Mutant’s eyes. The only thing is Mutant has sustained damage (2) after WARP SPEED and will struggle in the next match against the unpredictable Defender; Mutant eliminates Defender of the Realm by DQ. It’s a wild affair. Barely inside the ring and at the time of his DQ the Defender was bleeding and carrying 6 tokens. Astonishing that Mutant has come through two matches; Exo-King defeated Mutant with CORONATION CEREMONY. No nonsense from the King as he shows his subjects how it’s done; Exo-King pinned Death’s Head after a bloody battle. The King is single handedly fighting back but FUNERAL MARCH has left it’s mark on him. Can he become the first hero to qualify for the final match?; Exo-King best Cannibal after using CORONATION CEREMONY. All hail the King. Incredible turnaround completed as Exo-King survives THROAT SLIT twice and become the first hero to qualify for the final match. He needs serious help as he isn’t in great shape carrying four tokens and all alone against 8 at the moment
The Hitmen (Marcel de Sade, Vigilante, Soldier of Fortune. Splatter suspended so Marcel de Sade comes in for the Hitmen) beats FDF (Justice, Dreadnaught, US. Patriot); Justice pinned Marcel de Sade after SHOCK PROBATION. He’d earlier missed the move and even had a painful stint in THUMBSCREW so Justice was relieved to of come through. Big match next as he faces his ex-partner; Vigilante over Justice by DQ. Long match as both know their styles so well they were cancelling each other out. Justice again missing SHOCK PROBATION in the match which took a lot out of him. He managed to connect with it later in but was fatigued and it was too weak to pin Vigilante. It was an intriguing battle but fizzled to a lame finish as things moved outside the ring. Justice perhaps too tired to think straight saw Vigilante’s rifle and used it as a weapon; Vigilante beat Dreadnaught by DQ. Dreadnaught throws caution to the wind and goes after Vigilante fast but is picked off with ease. Vigilante dishes out POLICE BRUTALITY a few times and frustrates Dreadnaught. The former Cosmic Terrorist loses composure and triggers a violent brawl to get himself needlessly eliminated. Commander Sam exasperated with Dreadnaught and the pair are seen arguing over tactics in the aftermath; US. Patriot and Vigilante wrestle a double DQ. Adam falls into the same trap as his team mates. Vigilante sucks him into a violent brawl and sacrifices to ensure the Hitmen triumph with Soldier of Fortune going forward to the final match. It now stands at 9 against 1!
Savage Kingdom (Wildcat, Stalker, Terak) defeated the Masked Assassins (Vyper, Darkos, Demon); Vyper beats Wildcat by DQ. In an unusual move Vyper asks the ref to reconsider but when told the decision stands he shrugs his shoulders and gives Wildcat a friendly pat on the back; Stalker handles Vyper with CALL OF THE WILD; Stalker pinned Darkos. Stalker on fire as survives FINAL CURTAIN and gives one of his greatest ‘performances’ finishing Darkos with CALL OF THE WILD; Stalker stars again as he beats Demon. Again CALL OF THE WILD seals it. Savage Kingdom wins with two surviving members to help bolster the hero team but it’s still a tall order with 9 on 3 and only one more match to go
Raw Power (Chopper Mattock, Pegasus, Dynamo) beat Asylum and Kati (Kati, Psycho, Frenzy); Chopper Mattock defeated Kati by DQ; Chopper Mattock beats Psycho after BATTLE AXE. Psycho’s mind not on the match as he comes to the ring munching on a burger; Chopper Mattock sweeps it for his team against Frenzy. It was a spirited effort by Frenzy peppering Mattock with fast attacks but BATTLE AXE soon stopped him in his tracks. It’s the last match and leaves the hero team looking down the barrel of a disastrous defeat with just 3 guys facing 12. They have no chance but Stalker says they’ll give it a go.
FINAL BATTLEZONE MATCH OF SURVIVAL:
Titan Death Matches, order of wrestlers drawn randomly. Chaos unhappy at his placing as it is unlikely he’ll see any action and all he cares about is himself and looking strong. The Villain team (Pegasus, Monad, Janus, Soldier of Fortune, Mayhem, Chaos, Chopper Mattock, Mesmer, Matador, Gemini, Ram, Dynamo) crushes the Hero team (Stalker, Terak, Exo-King). Stalker pinned Pegasus after Stalker Strap. Great stuff from Stalker considering Pegasus came into the match fresh; Monad finally sees off Stalker with QUADRUPLE CLAMP. Crowd gives Stalker respectful applause for his awesome efforts at this event. He was carrying five tokens by the time he was beaten. He will surge up the ranking lists; Terak shocks Monad with BARBARIAN SHUFFLE in just two rolls. Who could ever of thought the Savage Kingdom would be the top performing hero team; Janus defeated Terak with GORDION KNOT. Predictable outcome but Terak comes close to pulling off another stunning upset. Last man now for the hero team is Exo-King but the odds are stacked. He is still battered and bruised from his earlier heroics. He has ten villain wrestlers lined up in front of him, “I’m realistic about my chances but I’ll just go as long as I can. Grappling until I drop”; Exo-King raises some eyebrows as he beats Janus with King Death Vise; Exo-King batters Soldier of Fortune into a bloody mess finishing with the Sovereign Suplex. He could even afford a failed pin after CORONATION CEREMONY; Mayhem ends the brave resistance of Exo-King in a quick match with a move he calls Mayhem Mandlaughter. It’s an extremely dominating overall victory for the villains with 7 wrestlers left over. Chaos, the Matador, Mesmer, Gemini and Dynamo didn’t see any action at all in the whole show. The curtain closes on a great event with lots of big performances. It went badly for the hero team but Stalker and Exo-King really stood out with heroic efforts. Stalker could be rewarded with a future shot at the IP belt. On the villain team Mayhem, Janus, Ram and Chopper Mattock all carried some great runs. Event MVP is announced as Mayhem which is a great moment for the Gladiator Vanguard.
*AFTER THE BELL*
GALACTICAID matches announced … Enigma will be laying down the IP belt against the top ranked contender. The young Assassin wants to become a legendary champion of the belt in the mould of the Matador and will meet all pretenders … Vanity goes against Psycho. Rumour that Psycho was happy to wrestle for free as long as he gets invited to the after show buffet … Jack of Diamonds takes on Splatter as a result of being a lottery winner …More matches are being kept as a mystery including the main event although we do know it will prominently feature members of the Champions team.
Card 622 – Procyon Sports Pavillion:
US. Patriot pinned Enigma after ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST to become new IP champ. Enigma has really flourished in 2099 but he was completely owned by Adam in his first defense. Darkos was at ringside trying to use all manner of tricks to keep the belt on Enigma but it was all in vein. Adam holds aloft and finally gives the FDF something to cheer in a difficult year
Holocaust and Raven win against Generation X by DQ. Lots of bad feeling in this match as the WAR members stew over the violent bar attack on Dreggs. Generation X raising their anger levels with cheap shooting tactics and a general disinterest in trying to have a wrestling match
Vanity over Terak by count-out. Vanity actually shows he can wrestle as he controls most of the match and considering how hot Terak has been that is an achievement. The only time Terak gets any kind of momentum going he actually manages to use BARBARIAN SHUFFLE on Vanity but Maxine Babe screams at the ref slowing his count enough for her man to kick out. Later she is pivotal as Terak is in trouble and rolls outside to collect his senses. He is near Maxine Babe who propositions him. Terak tries to ignore her advances by just as he is about to roll back in the ring and beat the count back she flashes her buttocks at him. Terak is struck dumb and stares at her in shock. He is completely oblivious to the referee’s count and only snaps out of it when he hears the bell. Suddenly realising his mistake he slaps his hand in frustration and runs off annoyed with himself for getting suckered into an avoidable defeat
Millenium beats Demons of Hydra by DQ. The masks are back as the Demons look to burst the bubble of Millenium who have one eye on their upcoming title match. Colussus says “this is a good preparation match as the Demons are one of the top teams around and will be using underhand measures just like we expect Superiority Complex to do”. Sure enough the Demons live up to his predictions. It’s a frantic match full of interfering and attempts to gain unfair advantages. Heracles is lucky to kick out after THE FINAL ORACLE but battled back and could (and should) of finished Demon with OLYMPIA. Both Darkos (at ringside) and partner Hydra contriving to foil him. Darkos can’t keep his nose out the match at all and later causes the DQ for trying to attack Colussus outside the ring
Vyper pinned Wildcat. Darkos unsettles Wildcat by being at ringside and Vyper doesn’t look too happy about him being there either. It’s going to be a busy night for Darkos as he is going to be at ringside for half the show’s match ups. He doesn’t get too much chance to influence proceedings as Vyper is mainly on top using THE LEVIATHAN several times before it put Wildcat down for good. Wildcat recovers and grapples with Darkos as he tries to leave whilst Vyper shows no interest and simply celebrates his win over the other side of the ring. Darkos cannot understand why Wildcat took such exception, “I’ve been hired to host a documentary on wild animals across the galaxy. Naturally to help with my role I wanted to observe members of the Savage Kingdom in close proximity that’s all. Wildcat has no business trying to attack me. As for Vyper he will do well to remember who rescued his life and bought him into the GWF. To stand by and not help me was unacceptable”
Tendron defeated Dreadnaught by DQ. Dreadnaught caught early in THE SMOTHERING but quickly escapes it and begins to pulverise Tendron. Trying to punish his former team mate Dreadnaught throws him over the top rope and begins battering him right in front of all the wins. He has been unpopular lately and is maybe trying to win them over again but a lapse in concentration sees him unnecessarily grab a chair. He flattens Tendron and leaves him for dead.
