WWA #42 Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles ....We have another exciting card in-store as Antonio Rocca makes his V1 defense of the Americas' Championship against Pampero Firpo....Both Hennigs are in singles action as they head towards their tag title showdown next week....Let's go to the ring....---Our opener sees Curt Hennig battle Bobby Shane with the added stipulation that the winner will receive a shot at the World jr heavyweight championship at #50. After the younger Hennig takes early control, Shane delivers a Loaded Knee Smash to Hennig's head. Curt never recovers and Shane ends it with the JAPANESE SLEEPER to get a shot at the jr champion. ---Our next match sees the return of The Fantastics as they face Gorgeous George/Sweet Brown Sugar w/ Cherie Dupree. Cherie seemed smitten by Fulton/Rogers and was slow to react to George's calls for interference. Fulton/Rogers hit the ROCKET LAUNCHER on George to score the pinfall. George berated Dupree afterwards for her lack of focus. --- Larry Hennig squared off against Greg Valentine as these two will see each other next week in the tag title main event. Hennig had the early momentum until Greg clipped Hennig's knee. Greg worked over the leg of the elder Hennig and kept apply the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and then releasing the hold. Finally, Greg locked his finisher in for the 4th time to score the submission victory. Hennig is hobbled and raises doubts about his health going into next week's tag title match. ---Our next match saw Tony Atlas vs Mr Saito turn into a classic. The two kept countering each other and the momentum went back and forth for the duration of the match. Tony looked to have the match won with the PRESS SLAM & SPLASH but Saito was able to get a shoulder up. Later in the match, Saito dropped Tony w/ the SAITO SUPLEX but Tony returned the favor and got a shoulder up. Tony was able to hoist Saito up for his finisher for a second time to score the win. ---With the heated feud continuing between two old foes, The Sheik/Sabu scored a COUNT-OUT win over Bobo Brazil/SD Jones. The finish came as Bobo had just dropped Sabu with the COCO BUTT but Sheik grabbed Bobo and threw him into the security barrier. With Abdullah Farouk creating a distraction, Sheik cracked Bobo across the head with a steel chair and Bobo was not able to beat the count. Afterwards, Jones helped Bobo to his feet as Bobo grabbed the Olympic house mike. Bobo addressed farouk's demand and accepted the 'Loser Leaves Town' stipulation for the proposed cage match on #48. ---Our Main Event features Antonio Rocca's V1 defense of the Americas' Championship against Pampero Firpo. Rocca continued his hot streak and ran Firpo ragged early on; however, Rocca could not put his opponent away. Rocca hoisted Firpo up for the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER but Pampero used the ropes and flipped Rocca to the floor. Rocca appeared hurt as he barely beat the 20-count and Firpo took control. Firpo battered the champ with a series of Kneelifts and Running Power Slams and would occasionally toss Rocca to the floor. Firpo was almost DQ'd for ramming Rocca into the ringpost. Back in the ring, Pampero locked in his EL GARFIO finisher in the middle of the ring. The crowd came alive as Rocca fought the hold for several minutes and eventually made the ropes to break the hold. Rocca was a bloody mess as he rose to his feet and Firpo promptly dropped the champ again with another Knee Lift. Pampero goes to the top rope but misses a Flying Elbow Drop, giving Rocca a chance to turn the tide. R0cca hits Firpo with a series of Flying Dropkicks before mounting the top buckles. The champ waited for Firpo to rise and hit a picture perfect Flying Cross Body to score the pinfall and retain his title.

A night at The Olympic never fails to make me happy. What a main event between Antonino Rocca and Pampero Firpo. The America's title hung in the balance for what was a real close call for Rocca. He was very fortunate to survive Firpo there. Bobo Brazil vs. The Sheik- Loser Leaves Town - can't wait! The rest of this card was great and I really liked the win by The Fantastics as well as that Tony Atlas vs. Mr. Saito bout.

WWA #43 Grand Olympic Auditorium ....Excellent card for you from the Olympic as The Valentines defend the tag titles against The Hennigs....Larry Hennig is still nursing an injured leg from last week's match with Greg Valentine....The champs are sure to target the elder Hennig during the match....Andre the Giant makes an appearance in a Handicap Match....Let's go to the ring for all the action....---The fans are in absolute awe as Andre walks out for our opener. Andre tosses Ron Hutchison/Jake Milliman around as if they were rag dolls. Andre squashes both opponents with the BIG SPLASH and pins both at the same time. --- King Kong Bundy gets a tainted win over Billy Red Lyons as 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper interferes in the match after Lyons was setting up for his SLEEPER HOLD finisher. Piper blasts Lyons with the FOREIGN OBJECT and Bundy soon followed with the AVALANCHE for the win. Afterwards, Piper taunted the downed Lyons, telling him he was going to shave Lyons head in four weeks. ---Our next match was a dream tag team match-up as Don Leo Jonathan/Mil Mascaras def. The Destroyer/Masked Superstar in a heated bout. Don Leo dropped Superstar with the MORMON SWING before Mil leaped from the top turnbuckle with the FLYING BODY PRESS to get the win. --- Ox Baker battled The Crusher in our next bout as this feud is really starting to heat up. Both traded finishers late in the match but it was Ox who landed a third HEART PUNCH of the match to drop Crusher for the pinfall. ---Before our next match, Pepper Gomez challenged Blackjack Mulligan to a Mexican Death Match at #48 but Mulligan countered the challenge with a challenge of his own. Mulligan insisted on the match being a Texas Death Match because everything was bigger and better in Texas. Whatever the match will end up being, these two threw down during this match and the referee had no choice but to DISQUALIFY both Mulligan and Gomez. Security had to separate the duo and escort each man to the back separately. ---Our Main Event saw The Hennigs come out on fire against The Valentines. Curt started the match and ran both his opponents ragged as he scored nearfalls on both Johnny & Greg with the TOP ROPE DROPKICK. However, the younger Hennig would go to the well once to often and missed a Plancha to the outside on Greg. Back in the ring, the champs went to town on Curt and beat him down in their corner. The crowd rallied behind Curt and he was able to make the hot tag to Larry, who was chomping at the bit to get his hands on the Valentines. Larry dropped both opponents with multiple Double Forearm Hammers. The elder Hennig kept up the pressure as he trapped Johnny in the corner and rained huge Punches down on the elder Valentine. One of the punches looked like it may have broken Johnny's nose. However, as the referee checked on Johnny, Greg clipped Larry's injured knee from behind. Johnny quickly tossed the ref aside and started dropping Forearm Hammers to Larry's injured leg. Larry tried to fight his way back and stand but he could not put any weight on his leg. The crowd rallied behind the elder Hennig but a quick tag to Greg cut the rally short. Greg started working over the injury and quickly locked on the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Larry fought the hold for a long time but Curt, sensing his father would not give up, threw in the towel. The Valentines retain the WWA tag team championship as they celebrate their V2 defense. A visibly upset Larry Hennig grabbed the Olympic house mike and told the Valentines this was not over.

I agree with bennett1975 as every show from the Olympic is can't miss. WWA #43 was great from start to finish. I really enjoyed the special appearance by Andre the Giant and the continuing heat building for Piper vs. Lyons, Crusher vs. Baker and Gomez vs. Mulligan. Speaking of heat it was off the charts for that main event tag title match. What a win for the Valentine's over the Hennig's to retain the tag titles and in classic old school heel style. I also can't forget that great tag match with Mascaras & DLJ beating The Destroyer & Masked Superstar. Awesome show.

cruefan68 , @bennett1975 ....That tag match was a lot of fun to roll. I was very surprised just how well the alt Curt Hennig card did against both Valentines in the beginning of the match. The Hennigs almost pulled the match out but Larry had a +1 pin disadvantage going into the match due to the injury he suffered against Greg at #42 cost them in the end....As always, thanks for commenting.WWA #44 Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles ....We keep rolling on towards the end of Year 01 and are now just four weeks away from our Thanksgiving Spectacular super card. Tonight's main event features Freddie Blassie vs Rikidozan as these two mega superstars are feuding in Japan. Also on tonight's card, a huge 6-man tag match as Tony Atlas teams with The Fantastics to take on Mr Fuji/Mr Saito as they team up with Antonio Inoki. Let's get to the ring for all the action.... --- John Tolos storms out from the back for our opener as he takes on Scott Casey. Tolos grabbed the Olympic house mike and berated Pampero Firpo. This brought Firpo to the ring and a huge brawl broke out between Tolos and Firpo. Before security could get the two separated, it appeared that Firpo blasted Tolos with a pair of brass knux and John went down like a ton of bricks. We still had a match to get to and Scott Casey took full advantage, hauling Tolos up for the BULLDOG, and gets the huge surprise win (snake eyes)!! The fans love it!! ---Two participants from last week's tag team title match battled it out as Curt Hennig gets a measure of revenge against Greg Valentine, winning with the TOP ROPE DROPKICK in a heated match-up. --- The Destroyer/Mask Superstar take a dubious win over Antonio Rocca/Ilio DiPaolo after it appears Superstar loads his mask and delivers a Head Butt to Rocca. A few moments later, Destroyer hauls Rocca up for the Sensational Suplex and hold the champ there for a full 3-minutes. Finally, Destroyer drops Rocca to pick up the win. Destroyer gets his shot at Rocca and the Americas' Championship next week at #45. --- Ox Baker battled it out with Pepper Gomez as it seemed like Gomez kept watching over his shoulder for the expected run-in by Blackjack Mulligan. Ox lands the HEART PUNCH but Gomez is able to kick out before mounting a comeback. Pepper lands the Mexican Leap, causing Mulligan to charge the ring for the run-in. Here comes The Crusher to even the odds as the referee awards the match to Gomez via DISQUALIFICATION. ---Our big Semi was a **** match as Tony Atlas/The Fantastics outlasted Antonio Inoki/Mr Fuji/Mr Saito as Rogers/Fulton landed the ROCKET LAUNCHER on Fuji to score the pinfall. Atlas and Inoki brought the crowd to their feet several times in their one-on-one battle. It was announced afterwards that the Fantastics would face Fuji/Saito at TS #48 with the winner getting a tag title shot at #49. ---We are all set for our Main Event as the fans boo Freddie Blassie out of the building even though he hasn't competed in the territory for over six months, proving Blassie is still one of the most hated wrestlers in the area. Meanwhile, the fans give Rikidozan a huge ovation as he was introdudce to the crowd. These two heated rivals tore into each other immediately with rights and lefts. A huge chop battle ensued as tempers flared and Dozan seized the advantage after dropping Blassie with a Chop to the Chest that echoed off the walls of the Olympic. The Japanese icon scored several nearfalls with a Scoop Slam and a Series of Overhead Chops but Blassie was in position to be able to get a foot or hand across the bottom rope to break the count. The tide of the match changed when Blassie caught Dozan charging and sent him flying through the middle rope. Dozan clanged off the security railing and looked to be hurt. Of course, Freddie took advantage and Dozan was almost counted out twice but was just barely able to beat the 20-count. Blassie kept throwing Rikidozan to floor and worked him over before rolling him back into the ring and repeating the process over. Finally, Freddie dropped his opponent with the SOUTHERN NECKBREAKER but Dozan was able to get a shoulder up at the last moment. Several SOUTHERN NECKBREAKERs later and Dozan was still just barely able to get a shoulder up but the icon was in a bad way. Finally, a frustrated Blassie tossed Dozan into the turnbuckles, ducked Rikidozan's last gasp charging Lariat attempt, and rolled his opponent up in a Small Package. Blassie put his feet over the middle rope for added leverage to score the win. The crowd was livid at Blassie's tactics afterwards and Freddie had to be escorted to the back by security personnel.

Another great show and what an action packed main event between Rikidozan and Fred Blassie. Rikidozan survived a brutal attack only to lose in controversial fashion. I really liked seeing Antonio Inoki paired up with Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito against Tony Atlas & The Fantastics. The Destroyer looks primed and ready for Antonino Rocca and I am looking forward to their Americas title match. Scott Casey over John Tolos was an upset but credit Pampero Firpo for the assist. Nevertheless a big win for Casey.

WWA #45 Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles ....Tonight's main event has Antonio Rocca defending his title against The Destroyer....Plus, a Thanksgiving Spectacular update as well....Let's go to the ring....---Our opener saw Big John Studd lumber down the aisle as he faced Ron Hutchison/Jake Milliman in a Handicap Match. The fans were in awe of his size and he easily tossed his opponents around the ring like rag dolls. In an impressive display of power, Studd picked up both Hutchison/Milliman in a Reverse Bear Hug and ran across the ring, crushing both men into the turnbuckle. Studd picked Hutchison up and delivered the BACKBREAKER for the finish. --- John Tolos destroyed Scott Casey in a rematch of last week's match. There was no assist for Casey this week as Tolos quickly tossed Casey to the floor and dropped him throat first across the security railing. Back in the ring, John dropped his FLYING KNEE DROP across Casey's throat for the finish. Afterwards, Tolos called out Pampero Firpo for a match next week. --- The Hennigs get another shot at the tag titles next week but this week they face Sweet Brown Sugar/Bobby Shane. Larry Hennig is still hobbled from his ankle injury and Curt worked most of the match. Curt looked impressive against his opponents before tagging in the elder Hennig who dropped SBS with THE AXE. --- Wild Bull Curry took on Sabu in a wild match that saw The Sheik come to the aid of his nephew. Sheik jabbed Curry with his sharpened fork as Curry was near the ropes, allowing Sabu to drop the TRIPLE JUMP MOONSAULT (+5) for the win. ---Our Semi saw Blackjack Mulligan/Ox Baker score a controversial win over Pepper Gomez/The Crusher after it appeared Ox hit Crusher with a brass knux HEART PUNCH. Crusher had to be stretchered out of the Auditorium and spent a night in the local hospital for observation. ---It's time for our Main Event as Antonio Rocca defended the Americas' Championship against The Destroyer. Destroyer brought company to ringside as Masked Superstar strolled out just as the bell rung to start the match. Destroyer made a big show of having the referee check him for foreign objects and allowed Superstar to jump Rocca from behind with a 'loaded Head Butt'. Rocca went down like a ton of bricks but was able to kick out at the last second of Destroyer's lackadaisical cover. Destroyer would toss Rocca to the floor, pander to the crowd, and argued with the referee while Superstar beat Rocca up on the floor. Back in the ring, Destroyer locked in the FIGURE FOUR but Rocca was able to crawl over to the bottom rope to break the hold. Destroyer tossed Rocca back to the floor but a huge cheer went up from the crowd as Don Leo Jonathan ran out to even the odds. Don Leo and Superstar brawled all over ringside as the referee tried to restore order. Back in the ring, Destroyer pulled a foreign object that would slip over his knee pad to assist in his FIGURE FOUR finisher but but Rocca dropped Destroyer with a Series of Flying Dropkicks. Rocca picked up the object and started dropping knees across Detroyer's back area. The crowd cheered their approval as Rocca fought fire with fire. Finally, Rocca lifted Destroyer up for the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER for the finish and Rocca retains the title. Antonio moves on to defend the title against Mil Mascaras at TS #48. 'Thanksgiving Spectacular Update' ---Our main event is signed as Bobo Brazil will face The Sheik inside a Steel Cage. If Bobo loses, he will have to leave the promotion as well. A Special Attraction match between Andre the Giant and Big John Studd has also been signed. ---Two title matches have been signed as Antonio Rocca will defend the Americas' Championship against Mil Mascaras. The North American women's tag team championship will be up for grabs as champions, The Glamour Girls (Judy Martin/Leilani Kai) will defend against Trish Stratus/Malia Hosaka. --- Blackjack Mulligan vs Pepper Gomez in a Texas/Mexican Death Match has also been signed. Whatever name you want to call the match, a loser will be determined when one man can not answer a 10-count after a successful pinfall/submission.

Stud continuing to dominate! Heading into another classic confrontation with Andre this time in the WWA can not wait, as always great action all through out as per usual. Another spectacular Main Event, you have a great knack for building up titles and their importance and meaning and what it takes to win them.
I am also looking forward to the ladies tag in WWA in what could steal the show, Thanksgiving dinner, pumpkin pie, football a few cold beverages and the WWA can't think of a better way to spend turkey day...TRADITION will sure be watching

The Thanksgiving Spectacular is looking great and I like the addition of a ladies tag title match. The latest action from the Olympic was solid and that was a great main event with Antonino Rocca beating The Destroyer to retain the Americas title. Great finish and karma came back to get The Destroyer in the end. Looking forward to Rocca vs. Mascaras II for the title. Ox Baker putting The Crusher in the hospital was classic Ox. Sabu vs. Wild Bull Curry is violence personified and throw in The Sheik for even more insane action. Good to see John Tolos get his revenge on Scott Casey as well as adding more heat to his feud with Pampero Firpo.
