Kyle OReilly won the ROH title last night and said after the match he was taking it to Orlando. So stay tuned. Well, ROH has a show this afternoon in Lakeland, FL which is about an hour from Orlando. Could just be a line to generate headlines.... Rumor is Kyle OReilly will challenge Neville after his match with Aries tomorrow. Wow!

In a good sign for NJPW looking to do more shows here in the US, today these shows sold out instantly after going onsale. The meet and greet tickets are all gone too from what I've read. EDIT: Apparently there's talks to air the first night live on AXS, which would indicate that they might bring something more than the usual convention house show over for these.

From F4WOnline/The Observer
I found it very interesting that they would do title matches on these shows because going in, I expected them to just be lame duck house shows. Apparently they're going to have a comparable crowd for those shows to what they'd draw at Ota Ward Gymnasium which holds, I think, about 3,600 or something like that.

Good stuff! I have to think the winner of Omega vs. Elgin on night 1 will be the favorite to win the whole tournament.

Seeing all the NJPW guys under one roof in the U.S. sounds really cool but...Cody getting an IWGP title shot and, even worse, Tanahashi working with a middle-aged Billy Gunn is kind of an indication that Gedo doesn't seem to really know what American NJPW fans want to see. I really don't see what a U.S. title accomplishes, either. In some ways it all reminds me of the story of Kobashi appearing in ROH and not really believing that American fans would know who he was, and expecting to work like a Mr. Fuji-style heel.
I'm not saying he should give away Omega-Okada III here, but the show sold out on the NJPW name alone--give us a real NJPW main event.

In fairness, Tanahashi vs. Billy Gunn is probably gonna be a good match (I believe in Billy) but you do raise a valid point in that it doesn't seem like they really understand what it is the American fans want.

It feels like they're making the exact same mistakes they made last time with these shows. I do kind of see the logic in the two title matches in that you aren't jobbing your actual talent in title matches off of Japanese soil but if you're serious about expansion you'll have to start doing that sooner or later. I think Tanahashi vs. Sabre would have been a better choice.
