That was awesome aceldamas Road Warrior Hawk (10) v. Brutus Beefcake (23) Morgan Dollar seems very intense while providing instructions to both competitors. Beefcake with a jumping head ringer that is countered but Hawk misses a dropkick and then Beefcake misses a knee drop. Hawk misses a second dropkick and Beefcake capitalizes with a suplex and another. Beefcake mounts the corner for a deathjump cross body block that stuns Hawk for a two count (R7/P2) and then applies a SLEEPER but Hawk carries Beefcake to the ropes for the break (R6/P4). Beefcake scores with a clothesline but a wind-up punch is countered. Back elbow downs Beefcake and Hawk explodes with back to back vertical suplexes and a jumping fist drop. Back to back gorilla press slams look amazing and Hawk crushes Beefcake with a deathjump smash. Over-the-shoulder backbreaker and Beefcake manages to hook the ropes to force the break (R6/P3). More punishment from the Road Warrior but his dropkick misses. Beefcake attempts a knee lift but Hawk counters with a gorilla press slam and then hooks the leg for the win. (R4/P4) Up next . . . Harley Race (7) v. “Cowboy” Scott Casey (26)

There haven't been many upsets thus far... That could be the one drawback to playing with only the color sets - There is a fair bit of separation between the upper tier wrestlers and their potential opposition... Expect the following rounds to be MUCH more competitive...
Race over Casey... Not even a question!

Thank for the selections walkswithwolf , Pariah , TTX , aceldamas.
I have to agree with Pariah, the second round action should tighten up. Lots of opening round squashes so far.
With respect to the tournament seeding, I generally use the Rohl rankings but I have made mistakes in the past. I had Rikidozan ranked far too low for three straight tournaments due to a typo that was carried over. Glad to see you are following along again this year Nick_Nuke
Harley Race (7) v. “Cowboy” Scott Casey (26) Morgan Dollar takes his time going over the rules with both competitors and it appears he will be calling a tight match. Race with jumping knee smash and tackle in the corner. Indian Deathlock and Casey decides to take a breather. Back in the ring, Race tosses Casey to the floor and then follow him outside. Casey turns things around and Race does shoulder first into the post. Sleeper from Casey sends Race back to the floor. Race grabs a chair and cracks Casey with it. Dollar is quick to call for the bell disqualifying Harley Race. Casey moves onto the next round in a shocker. Next Up . . . . HUSS HUSS HUSS
Bruiser Brody (3) v. Frank Dalton (30)

Wow, Race losing his temper, which gives Hawk a chance to go even further. Brody could get dq'ed as well but if not, he should win easily.
