The heat is really turned up here! Lots of DQs for being too aggressive. Drake is a tough challenger and I know that Red's days as champion are numbered once Drake gets a no DQ bout.

LWF Blockbuster episode 4: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Johnny Rodz: Claudio Castagnoli dominated Johnny Rodz in a squash, winning after two brutal Ricola Bombs.
Don Leo Jonathan Interview: United States Champion Don Leo Jonathan was interviewed by Bill Apter. Jonathan said he was disappointed that he wasn't getting as much attention as other superstars and invited anyone to face him for the United States title next week. This brought out Diamond Dallas Page. Page said he'd see Don Leo Jonathan next week. DLJ and Page shook hands. As DLJ turned his back to leave, Page spun him around and gave him a Diamond Cutter. Page left to a chorus of boos from the crowd.
The Superfriends vs. The Backseat Boys: The Superfriends fought a hard match against the Backseat Boys. While Quackenbush and Hero were good individually, they were outclassed as far as teamwork went. The end came when Johnny Cashmere was the recipient of a Hero's Welcome on the outside of the ring, resulting in a count out.
Strangler Lewis vs. Fritz Von Goering: Strangler Lewis defeated Fritz Von Goering in short order, winning with the Strangler's Headlock. After the match, Lewis got on the mic and demanded a better challenge next week, saying he deserved better after running Steve Williams out of the LWF. While he was talking, Ted DiBiase stepped over the guardrail and snuck up behind him. He tapped Lewis on the shoulder and knocked him unconscious with the Black Glove.
J.D. Michaels vs. Larry Zbyszko: J.D. Michaels gave an impressive showing in his debut, even having Larry Zbyszko pinned at one point, but couldn't pull off the victory. Zbyszko's new manager, Bobby Heenan, arrived at ringsid halfway through the match. Heenan distracted the referee after Michaels hit his finisher, enabling Zbyszko to recover and get the win with a backbreaker.
The James Gang vs. Rick Rude & Curt Hennig for the LWF Tag Team titles: Though the James Gang have proven they can hang with the big dogs, Rude & Hennig had their number. They isolated B.G. James for most of the match. James, sensing defeat, took the match to the floor and hit Rick Rude with a steel chair in full view of the referee for the DQ.
George Hackenschmidt vs. Necro Butcher: Hackenschmidt continued his dominating ways, manhandling Necro Butcher. Hackenschmidt had Butcher in the bear hug and fading fast when Bruiser Brody attacked for the DQ.
Red Bastien vs. Drake Younger for the LWF Junior Heavyweight title: Red Bastien fought hard, nearly making Drake Younger submit twice to the Abdominal Stretch. Younger bounced back and took the match to the floor at every opportunity. Bastien, a bloody mess, mounted a comeback and had Younger defeated after a series of dropkicks when Younger's allies, the Naptown Dragons, stormed the ring, drawing a DQ. The three men pummelled Bastien until the Superfriends arrived and evened the odds. The six men brawled until security escorted them to the back.
Jim Londos vs. Bruiser Brody: In the best match of the night, Jim Londos took it to the big man but Brody turned the tide when he took the match to the floor. Londos was nearly counted out three times. Brody finally put Londos away with the Jumping Knee Drop. After the match, Brody and Necro Butcher doubleteamed Londos until J.D. Michaels made the save.
Buddy Rogers vs. Mil Mascaras for the LWF Heavyweight title: Buddy Rogers looked dominant in this one, attacking Mascaras's injured knee like a shark from the opening bell. Rogers finished off Mascaras with the Figure Four Grapevine to retain the title.

A new champion...Mil had to know that his days were numbered when he was tangling with Rogers.
I stand by the prediction that Younger will take the gold off of Red when they have a NO DQ match....maybe a cage match to keep out the Naptown Dragons

I'm not sure if Mil has ever beaten Rogers in my feds.
When I started the feud, I was pretty sure Drake would take the belt in a no DQ situation. I'm not so sure anymore since Red has been holding his own.

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Fritz Von Goering: Talented newcomer Caudio Castagnoli had a fast and furious back and forth match with Fritz Von Goering. Altough Von Goering frustrated Castagnoli with his superior strength, Castagnoli was able to get the victory after a springboard European Uppercut.

Hodge nearly defeated Tiger Mask with the Oklahoma Sideroll on two occasions, only to be repeatedly given the Tiger Suplex. Tiger Mask got the win after a Space Flying Tiger Drop followed by the fourth Tiger Suplex of the match.
J.D. Michaels vs. Bruiser Brody: J.D. Michaels attacked Brody before the bell and came within an eyelash of victory, only to have Brody take the match to the floor and turn the tide. The Superfriends vs. The Naptown Dragons: The Superfriends lost a competitive match to the Naptown Dragons after a Double Dragon on Chris Hero. After the match, Red Bastien and Drake Younger, who accompanied the teams to the ring, entered the ring and had a war of words. Security mobbed the ring before any blows could be struck.
United States champion Don Leo Jonathan vs. Diamond Dallas Page: Don Leo Jonathan controlled the tempo of the match with his superior strength. Page hit the Diamond Cutter out of nowhere early on but couldn't capitalize on it. Jonathan mauled Page but didn't capitalize on his momentum. George Hackenschmidt vs. Larry Zbyszko: George Hackenschmidt seemed unprepared for Larry Zbyszko's underhanded tactics and was nearly pinned in the opening minutes. However, neither dirty tricks nor Bobby Heenan's presence at ringside was enough to stop George Hackenschmidt. Hackschmidt took over and made Zbyszko submit to the Russian Bear Hug. After the match, Hackenschmidt challenged Diamond Dallas Page to a United States title match next week!
Strangler Lewis vs. Ted DiBiase: Both men were prepared for a fight when the match began and a fight was what they got. The match repeatedly spilled outside the ring. DiBiase worked on Lewis's legs, even applying the Figure Four twice only to have Lewis escape. The end came when Lewis turned the tide outside the ring, rolled DiBiase back in, and forced him to submit to the Strangler's Headlock.
The James Gang vs. Curt Hennig & Rick Rude in a Texas Death match for the LWF Tag Team titles: Rude and Hennig had the champions reeling early on, scoring several near falls on Kip James. Once Kip made the hot tag, it was all B.G. James. B.G. scored near falls on Rick Rude with his Pumphandle slam. Rude was able to tag out to Curt Hennig. Hennig took the match to the outside and nearly got the win with the Hennig Plex but James kicked out. The end came when Kip James broke up a pin on B.G. and hit Hennig with the Standing Leg Drop, enabling B.G. to recover and hit the Pumphandle Slam for the win.

Good show Gunslinger!
I also have Hackenschmidt vs Zbyszko taking place this weekend (it's at my No Way Out PPV tomorrow) and I'm hoping Hackenschmidt wins just like he did in your fed today.
Cool to see DDP win the United States Championship.
I've always enjoyed reading your LWF fed results throughout the years and I'm looking forward to reading more in the future.
