I've enjoyed your fed over the years too, Vegas. Who can forget something like Killer Kowalski carrying around Yukon Eric's ear?
Even though I've given DDP quite a few chances at the gold, this was the first time he's even won any belts for me. I'm hoping he keeps it for a while.

Dewey Robertson vs. Ted DiBiase: A match that many thought would be a squash nearly ended up stealing the show. Dewey Robertson just wouldn't stay down and Ted DiBiase couldn't put him away. Both men used their version of the Figure Four but to no avail. A battered and beated Robertson scored the upset win with a running splash as the match neared its fifteen minute time limit. After the match, DiBiase sucker punched Robertson with his loaded glove and attacked Robertson's knee until Claudio Castagnoli made the save.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Larry Sweeney: Castagnoli made short work of Larry Sweeney, winning with a ferocious Springboard European Uppercut. After the match, Castagnoli was attacked from behind by Ted DiBiase. DiBiase laid Castagnoli out with the loaded glove and promised to teach him a lesson in respect next week.
Chris Hero vs. Drake Younger: Younger assaulted Hero before the bell with a light tube and put him away in short order with Drake's Landing. After the match, Younger challenged Red Bastien to an LWF Junior Heavyweight title match next week, Falls Count Anywhere!
Jim Londos & J.D. Michaels vs. Bruiser Brody & Necro Butcher: This was the bloodiest match of the night. Early on, it was all Jim Londos. He took the fight to Necro Butcher and had him tapping out to the Boston Crab but Brody made the save. Once Butcher tagged out, Brody proceeded to maul both Londos and Michaels, hitting each man with multiple Jumping Knee Drops en route to victory. The fall came when Brody hit Michaels with his third Jumping Knee Drop. Londos and Michaels had to be helped from the ring after the match.
Diamond Dallas Page vs. George Hackenschmidt for the United States title: Diamond Dallas Page fought a hard match but couldn't overcome the superior strength of the Russian Lion. Hackenshmidt scored several near falls before making Page submit to the Russian Bear Hug to become the new United States champion. Before Hackenschmidt could do much celebrating, he was attacked by Bob Orton. Orton piledrover Hackenschmidt on his newly won United States title belt and left the ring area.
Red Bastien vs. Scotty Vortekz for the LWF Junior Heavyweight title: Bastien took the fight to Vortekz from the opening bell and quickly won with the Atomic Drop to retain the title. After the match, Bastien accepted Drake Younger's challenge.
Strangler Lewis vs. Larry Zbyszko: Larry Zbyszko controlled most of the match, attacked Lewis at the outset and scoring several near falls. As in most of his matches, Lewis waited until Zbyszko made a crucial error and struck like a serpent, wearing Zbyszko down and eventually getting the win after four Strangler's Headlocks.
The James Gang vs. Rick Rude & Curt Hennig in a Hardcore Match for the LWF Tag Team titles: The James Gang kept Hennig isolated for the first part of the match, wearing him down with double team manuevers and frequent tags. Hennig came back after a brawl outside the ring and tagged in Rick Rude. Rude decimated both members of the James Gang, hitting each with the Rude Awakening before tagging Hennig back in. The James Gang's luck finally ran out when Hennig pinned B.G. James following the Hennig Plex. The show went off the air with Bobby Heenan strapping the LWF Tag Team title belts on Rude & Hennig.

Now, three former United States champions have staked their claims as the #1 contender. LWF Blockbuster episode 8: The show opened with Buddy Rogers already in the ring. Larry Zbyszko vs. Pepper Gomez: Larry Zbyszko was in trouble from the outset, Gomez's fast paced offense had him reeling at every turn. Some underhanded tactics by Zbyszko and his manager, Bobby Heenan, turned things around. Zbyszko was able to get the win with a Flying Crossbody block. After the match, Zbyszko once again ran down Ted DiBiase, saying DiBiase doesn't belong in the same ring as Zbyszko.

Ted DiBiase vs. Steve Corino: Corino put up a valiant effort but was no match for DiBiase's two pronged attack. After the match, DiBiase said if Zbyszko has a problem with him, they could settle it in the ring next week!
