ROH TV #51
February - Week 3 - Year 2
Commentary: Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman
Nigel McGuinness makes his way to the ring to kick off the show. He apologises to the crowd that he keeps having to start shows this way, but something serious happened at the weekend and he must address it now. He says CZW have taken things too far. When they bought the tag titles from Truth Martini, that was a low blow, but kidnapping Necro Butcher is a disgusting act, and one that will not go unchallenged. Kevin Steen interrupts McGuinness. He says they should be celebrating their illustrious new World Champion right now, not worrying about some garbage wrestler who isn't fit to lace his boots. He says Necro walked straight into the lions den, we cannot now be surprised that the lion mauled him.
As Nigel goes to respond to Kevin, Roppongi Vice interrupt him. Trent tells Steen he got his title shot and he got his title, so he can pipe down right now. Rocky asks Nigel what they do now? He promised them a shot at the tag titles, and now he only knows where 50 per cent of the champions are. As Nigel goes to reply to them, he is interrupted again.
This time, it is MJF and he is joined by new CZW World Champion Jon Moxley. They have with them Necro's bloodied shirt. Max throws it down at McGuinness' feet, but before he can talk, McGuinness tells him to shut up. He says he has zero interest in whatever is about to come out of MJF's mouth. McGuinness turns to Roppongi Vice and tells them they will still be in tag action tonight, he then looks at Steen and tells him to park his celebrations, because he represents ROH now and he will be facing Jon Moxley in tonight's main event. McGuinness starts walking away, before pausing... "Oh, and Max..." He then blasts MJF with a stiff lariat before leaving the ring
Kiera Hogan def. Mandy Leon by pinfall
A brutal battle, but Hogan wins with a missile dropkick that clocks Leon right in the jaw.
Dejected, Leon sits in the ring post match before standing, looking around the room, apologising and walking away
Pure Rules
Lee Moriarty def. Josh Woods by pinfall
Woods is showing off his superb technical ability when Moriarty swipes the win with a rolling European Clutch
Maria Manic def. Sumie Sakai by pinfall
A stalling suplex secures the win for Manic
The Young Bucks def. Arez and Aramis by pinfall
Aramis gets a near fall with a Mosquetero Bomb on Matt Jackson, but the Bucks are the winners when they hit him with More Bang For Your Buck.
Post match, Aramis and Arez fall out in the ring, shoving each other and blaming the other for the loss
Adam Cole comes to the ring, calling out new Pure Champion Richard Holliday. He questions what Holliday had even done to earn the title shot, let alone find himself carrying such a prestigious championship now. Holliday, who is joined by Alex Hammerstone, comes out on to the stage, telling Cole you have to shoot your shot when you have the chance. While Cole backfired, Holliday says he doesn't miss in pressure situations. Holliday tells him he will give him a chance to earn the first shot at the title, but only if Cole and a partner of his choosing can beat The Dynasty in the main event next week. Cole tells him next week will be Elite.
War Machine def. Roppongi Vice by pinfall
Vice were still unsure who they were facing as they made their way to the ring, and were extremely unhappy when it was revealed to be Hanson and Rowe. They hit War Machine on Trent to get an emphatic victory.
Veda Scott is backstage with Rush. She says the former World Champion asked for this time. Rush says Salina and Promociones Dorado have failed him. When he needed them most, they were not there. So, he is leaving them. He will return when he finds someone to actually have his back.
Non-title
ROH World Champion Kevin Steen def. CZW World Champion Jon Moxley by disqualification
Steen his Mox with F-Cinq, but MJF attacks him from behind, leading to a DQ
MJF picks up the ROH World Title post match, but drops it and flees when Nigel McGuinness rushes to the ring
