ROH TV #54 March - Week 2 - Year 2 Commentary: Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman
Nigel McGuinness opens the show in the ring, where he wants to celebrate Kevin Steen becoming the ROH and CZW World Champions. However, Steen comes to the ring to tell him he wants absolutely no part of this charade. He tells Nigel he feels no burning loyalty to Ring of Honor, in fact he cannot stand 99 per cent of the people here, and just wants to win titles and earn as much money possible. If anything, Steen says, he agrees with MJF - he pauses as the crowd boo - and, he adds, he agrees with Nigel; they are both idiots. Steen is interrupted by Bryce Jordan, who says it is an honour to be represented by someone like Steen and would be a privilege to show why he was the Top Prospect in a World Title match. Steen says he has no clue who Grice is, or whatever his name is, but if he can beat Jimmy Jacobs next week, then he will consider that request.
Mark Briscoe def. Arez by pinfall The Froggy Bow followed by a Cut Throat Driver scores Briscoe the win
Taeler Hendrix def. Athena by pinfall Athena impresses, but cannot close it out and Hendrix wins with The Kiss Goodnight
Adam Cole joins Veda Scott backstage. He says he heard what Kenny Omega had to say, but he is not here to say sorry and he doesn't owe anyone an explanation. Veda asks him why he requested this time then? Cole says he actually has some questions for Omega; when did Kenny become such a whiner? When did he lose his self respect? When did he stop being elite?
Keith Lee w/Stokely Hathaway def. Blake Christian by pinfall Lee makes short work of Christian, winning with the Spirit Bomb
Pure Rules Alex Koslov def. Josh Woods by submission Koslov receives a warning for going to punch Woods early on, but gains his composure and wins with Red Scare I
Mercedes Martinez joins Veda Scott backstage. She says 22nd Anniversary was proof, if ever it was needed, that Angelina Love does not fight with Honor. She says two can play that game, though, and at Supercard of Honor, they will face off one more time for the World title in a Fight without Honor.
Roppongi Vice come to the ring. Trent says Necro Butcher is back now, so if Nigel just sends out the Tag Champions, then they can get this over with and win the title match they were promised. Instead, reDDragon come out. Roppongi Vice def. reDDragon by pinfall Beretta scores the victory with a Dude Buster on Kyle O'Reilly Rocky Romero takes the mic and says they're done with ROH
Faye Jackson def. Priscilla Kelly by pinfall Jackson gets the win with Drop it like it's hot

Proving Ground Roderick Strong def. Bandido by pinfall In a Proving Ground match, Strong systematically takes apart Bandido, preventing him earning a title shot. Strong wins with the Sick Kick

Veda Scott is joined by Mark Briscoe. Mark says Roderick Strong is running around handing out TV title shots, but hasn't offered him one yet and he doesn't understand what's up with that. Keith Lee and Stokely Hathaway walk in. Stokely says if anyone deserves the next shot, it's someone who is limitless. Veda suggests they face each other next week to see who gets to challenge Strong at Supercard of Honor. Briscoe nods for a second then makes a loud kung-fu noise and walks off.
Hikaru Shida def. Sumie Sakai by pinfall Shida wins with Three Count
The Dynasty def. Wheeler Yuta and Orange Cassidy by pinfall Cassidy is sleeping on the apron as Hammerstone wins with a Nightmare Pendulum on Yuta
MJF is here. The ROH fans boo loudly as he tries to talk, but Max tells the peasants to shut up because he has business to conduct. MJF says he is here to offer Nigel McGuinness a way to end this. He says Nigel is the reason all this has happened, he is the reason for the blood shed but he can be part of the resolution now. All he needs to do is quit his job and fight MJF inside this ring. If Nigel wins, CZW will walk away, but when MJF wins, he says, then he gets a shot at each ROH title and Nigel has to stand in front of all the Ring of Honor fans and admit that MJF is better than him, and he knows it.
Dalton Castle makes his way to the ring. He says he will fight anyone in the building for the Pure Title. Davey Richards answers the challenge! Pure Title Davey Richards def. Dalton Castle (c) by submission Richards systematically takes Castle apart, forcing him to use all of his rope breaks and then makes him tap out to an Ankle Lock
Madison Rayne def. Karen Q by pinfall An evenly fought contest, which Rayne wins with Rayne Check.
Necro Butcher joins Veda Scott backstage, telling her there has been a lot of blood shed since he and Delirious came back, but they want to show they can wrestle as well, so they will be looking for teams to defend the tag titles against.
Kyle O'Reilly def. Chris Sabin by submission Sabin makes a return to ROH, but gets off to a losing start as O'Reilly brutalises him and wins with Armageddon.

In a sitdown interview with Ian Riccaboni, Angelina Love says she is unquestionably the greatest World Champion ever to grace Ring of Honor. She says she no longer has to prove herself to anyone, but the chance to beat the life out of Mercedes Martinez at Supercard of Honor is just too good an opportunity to turn down, so she will accept the challenge.
Kris Statlander def. Willow Nightingale by pinfall Stat kicks out of a moonsault and goes on to win with a blue thunder bomb
Taeler Hendrix def. Miranda Alize by pinfall A dominant display by Hendrix, who wins with a tombstone piledriver
New Pure Champion Davey Richards comes to the ring, telling the crowd he saw what was happening here and did not like it. The Pure Division is about the best technical wrestling, not men who think they're peacocks and dishonourable champions like Cole and Holliday. So, from now on, anyone who fights in his Pure Division agrees to abide by his rules and the title must be defended every single show, starting now. Kyle O'Reilly answers the challenge.

He tells the crowd that MJF is unquestionably the most irritating person he has met in his life, but Nigel says he will not be returning to the ring. Kevin Steen comes out with both the CZW and ROH world titles. Steen tells Nigel he has come to expect nothing more from him, because where Nigel was once one of the greatest ROH champions of all time, he is now just a snivelling mess. Steen says Nigel has talked a good game in recent weeks, but when the time came he was too scared to step up and go one on one with MJF. Nigel refuses to be baited into returning to the ring by Steen, instead telling him that seeing as he looks to be feeling very chipper, McGuinness has an old friend in town this weekend, and perhaps he deserves a title shot... that friend is Nick Aldis!
SCUM def. Bryce Jordan and James Jeffries by pinfall Corino and Jacobs take Jordan apart, all while a helpless Jeffries has to watch on from the apron. Jacob busts Jordan open with the railroad spike and gets the pin.

Announcement Following an urgent meeting of the ROH board, it can now be announced that Nigel McGuinness has stepped down from his position as Ring of Honor Matchmaker. It is with a heavy heart that his resignation has been accepted, however his position had become untenable due to the unsafe working conditions which have become ever-present in recent weeks.
Further to this, ROH TV will be entering a period of hiatus while the board works to reinstate the safety and security which ROH talent, staff, and, most importantly, the fans rightly expect. CZW's actions at Supercard of Honor will not go unpunished and legal representatives have been consulted.

Man oh man what a show to finish off the year for Roh. Czw looks set to destroy honour, MCMG have arrived and now Nigel stepping down. I have a feeling the pure title may be locked in for a while with ZSJ. Going to be tough to beat.
Can't wait to see what happens with it all
