People have had no problem with Buff Bagwell, The Sandman, and Diamond Dallas Page, yet Bryan Danielson gets debated?!?!?! WHAT THE BLOODY HELL? ? Dude, DDP is in another league when it comes to being a wrestling legend...the guy has been around wrestling for over 20 years, has worked for THE BIG THREE and was a World Champion when it still meant something....DDP had huge feuds with the likes of Randy Savage, Goldberg and The Undertaker!!!!!! He was also a great manager back in the AWA days.... AND HE WAS A HUGE MERCHANDISE MOVER to boot! Danielson couldn't hold DDP's jock EVER when it comes to being a PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER! The problem, is NO ONE sees those five star matches and if he ever gets lucky enough to have Vince offer him a deal, he'll change big-time ..and for the worse...just like CM Punk...who is garbage now compared to the great work he did in ROH.... Just tell us if the rest of the yet to be announced LOW releases are indy guys...I'm still going to get the set because of the great work Tom & the rest of the guys put in to giving us such a great product I just don't want to get my hopes up for a real wrestling legend and find out Nigel McGuiness is the next name. Oh and before you start, yes Nigel is a great fixture in ROH...and he would be vanilla yogurt in the WWE and probably be released before he ever made it to tv... Oh boy... So you think DDP is the better professional wrestler because he wrestled The Undertaker, Goldberg (?!), and Randy Savage? So has Barry Horowitz. And merchandise sales? Danielson has been responsible for who knows how many DVD sales through Ring of Honor, not to mention T-shirt sales. Financially, ROH would not be where they are without him. NO wrestling organization could say the same of DDP. What do you mean "NO ONE" has seen those matches? I have. My friends have. People I talk to about wrestling have. Kids that talk to me about wrestling at work have. By "NO ONE", do you mean YOU haven't? That must be the case, otherwise you wouldn't be so adamantly against Danielson (this flabbergasts me as I type it) being in the dang set. How many people have seen a George Hackenschmidt match? I've never seen Ed Lewis wrestle either. Is that the barometer you want used? The real reason McGuinness wouldn't work in the WWE is because he's so injury prone. Otherwise, he would be a star. He has the look, the personality, the mic work, and in-ring ability that surpasses most WWE wrestlers. Now I'm not his biggest fan, but to say he would fail because you know nothing about him is preposterous. Danielson was a great signing by Todd, and _I_ can respect Tom's decision for him to be in LOW, I don't see how anyone - especially someone who doesn't like most wrestling - could diss Tom for it. Bad form, eddydeanclassic. Watch some more wrestling before you come on here and talk bad about an awesome signing. Diversify your bonds, son.

I thought the Danielson signing was a great signing for LOTF. Currently my only fed running is LOTF based so I will wind up ordering the LOW set just for him as I would not currently have use for the other guys in the set.
If anyone thinks Danielson is a bad signing, they are wrong. The argument was with the build up that was given to the announcement led people to believe it was a HUGE LEGEND name, like Bret Hart or some of the other rumored huge names.
If had been just announced out of the blue I bet their would have been little to no outcry.

I laugh at all the internet GEEKS who think because some blog posts that Danielson wrestles all these FIVE STAR matches every week and PWI ranks him in the top 10...whoopee!! 90% of the wrestlers out there today in all promotions stink compared to say 12-15 years ago...the business has taken a colossal change for the worse and I blame Vince...he got too greedy and wrecked it all by killing and crippling the smaller companies. The problem, is NO ONE sees those five star matches and if he ever gets lucky enough to have Vince offer him a deal, he'll change big-time ..and for the worse...just like CM Punk...who is garbage now compared to the great work he did in ROH.... This makes me so sad that people are so limited in their experiences. It is a shame. I don't blame the poster, I blame the promoters who got to greedy and wrecked things for the fans and the workers. It really breaks my heart, truley.

Dear SNOB, Not ONCE did I ever diss Tom or anyone else for signing Danielson...I simply stated that I felt it was a huge let down to find out that he was going to be one of the main guys touted for the set. But regardless, I have been buying the Filsinger Games products since DAY ONE! I own every set, both COTG and LOW, every LE card, every handbook, chart, T-Shirt and even two copies of Dark Menace... I have been watching wrestling since 1981. Now put that in your tea pot and drink it!

I have watched wrestling since about '85. I have seen all sorts of styles since then. I have actually seen Danielson wrestle live and seen him on HDnet (though that's now gone, thanks Time Warner). That all being said, he does nothing for me. Is he a good wrestler? Sure. He just doesn't capture my interest at all. Does that make me someone who is limited in my experiences? I don't think so. I have seen him wrestle, if he was on a match on TV I would watch it because I'm a fan of the sport. I'm sure he's a heck of a nice guy in person, but he just doesn't do anything for me.
Werner and I saw a card where Danielson wrestled Austin Aries and I thought their match was a snooze-fest (BLASPHEMY!!!!!!). HOWEVER, on that same card Chris Hero and The Human Tornado put on one of the very best matches I'd ever seen live. That's just the kind of wrestling I'm into. Again, am I limited. No. I saw, I watched, I didn't like.
Now, all THAT being said, I have absolutely no problem with Danielson being in LOW. Truth be told I see him more as a LOTF guy, BUT I don't have ANY problem with him being in LOW. I think you'd be fooling yourself if you didn't agree that no matter how much you liked him, Danielson would be bumped in a heartbeat if Hart, Hogan, Funk or even Owen Hart was signed and the LOW team needed a slot. They have more name recognition. I didn't say they were BETTER wrestlers, I said they have more name recognition. It's fine if you hate that's the way it it is, but that is the way it is.
Will Danielson get used in my LOW fed? No, probably not, but then I only use about 30 of the Legends released so far in my fed and I don't use ANY of the LOTF* guys! Why? Ummmm...well...It's my fed Promoter.
Am I mad he's taking a slot in LOW now? No. There's other guys in the set that I'm looking forward to more and I'm glad to be getting those.
It's all about opinion. I'm just excited to be getting a new set.
* I own all the LOTF sets and LE cards though because I enjoy supporting a great product.
