Card #38 Ricky Steamboat vs. Jerry Lawler Colonel Debeers vs. Kerry Von Erich “Stunning” Steve Austin vs. Jeff Jarrett Road Warrior Animal vs. Ken Patera Terry "The Hulk" Boulder vs. Paul Diamond
Results: Terry “The Hulk” Boulder defeats Paul Diamond via high bodyslam at 4:58. Prior to the match Bobby Heenan called Badd Company to the ring. He said that Paul Diamond was the weak link and was fired. As Diamond started to plead his case, Heenan announced he would be taking on Terry Boulder. Terry wasted no time in pounding Diamond down and finished him off with a high bodyslam. Heenan said that at Supercard #4 he would announce the newest member of Heenan’s Family.
Ken Patera defeats Road Warrior Animal via disqualification at 8:34. Ken Patera and Animal went at it in a frenzy. These two powerful wrestlers tried to use their strength to overpower the other but neither one was having much success. When the match spilled outside the ring, the two started brawling and while Patera listened to his instructions Animal did not. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell.
Jeff Jarrett defeats “Stunning” Steve Austin via right cross to jaw at 7:49. In what can only be called an upset, Jeff Jarrett managed to secure a victory over Austin. It was yet another embarrassment for Heenan’s Family and Terry Boulder stormed the ring to hand out punishment on Jarrett. Greg Gagne came down to the ring in a thunderous ovation and cleared the ring.
Kerry Von Erich defeats Colonel Debeers via countout at 19:22. In a fantastic match, the Good Colonel and Von Erich were picking up where they left off from Card #37. The action was back and forth but Kerry had the upperhand throughout most of the match. He hit the Discus Punch a few times but Debeers always managed to kick out or find the ropes. After being knocked down, Debeers rolled out of the ring only to be crushed by Von Erich in the form of a falling cross body. As Von Erich got back in the ring on time, Debeers did not.
Ricky Steamboat defeats Jerry Lawler via Top Rope Bodypress at 14:00. Jerry Lawler came to the ring talking smack out Sgt. Slaughter and didn’t appear to be focused on Steamboat. Steamboat came out firing and it seemed to wake Lawler up. He fired back with three huge haymakers before hitting his Piledriver. He went for the nonchalant pin but Steamboat got the shoulder up. Steamboat tried a few comebacks but Lawler always managed to stop it. Eventually Steamboat succeeded and began using his athleticism to counter the King’s brawling ways. He hit the Top Rope Bodypress and hooked Lawler’s leg for the three count. After the match, however, One Man Gang hit the ring and attacked Steamboat. Sgt. Slaughter hit the ring and there was a brawl until the officials broke it up.

Results: Blade Runner Rock defeats Yellow Dog via Bearhug at 15:02. It was supposed to be a warm up match for Rock who was returning from an injury suffered at Supercard #3 (Card #30). Yellow Dog was not going to let him have it easily. Yellow Dog dominated the much larger opponent for most of the match. He had a lot of near falls but Rock managed to survive. Rock finally managed to slow down Yellow Dog and grasped him in a Bearhug for the victory.
The Heenan Family defeat Jeff Jarrett/Greg Gagne via Running Leg Drop at 15:33. Jarrett was still riding high with his victory over Austin at Card #38 but neither he or his partner Gagne were able to counter Boulder’s size and strength. They put forth a valiant effort but the Heenan’s stable of guys were too much for them. Boulder worked away at Gagne before hitting the Running Leg Drop on him for the pin.
Verne Gagne came to the ring and announced the line up for Supercard #4 (Card #40):

Baron Von Raschke defeats Iceman Parsons via Iron Claw at 8:12. The AWA United States champion dominated the entire match from start to finish. Parsons did not even manage to get an offensive move in. Von Raschke was looking in top form and very hungry as he heads into Supercard #4.
Sgt. Slaughter/Ricky Steamboat defeat Jerry Lawler/One Man Gang via Top Tope Bodypress at 23:14. It was a highly anticipated match up. Steamboat was coming off of his huge win over Lawler at Card #38. The fans were itching for Slaughter to get his hands on Lawler too. Steamboat and One Man Gang started off in the ring. Gang took early control and went for the 747 Splash but missed. Gang managed to tag in Lawler but he didn’t fare much better as Steamboat took control and tagged in Slaughter. The stadium went nuts. Slaughter battered the number one contender around from pillar to post and locked on the Cobra Clutch but Gang jumped in. Once order was restored Lawler took over using dirty tricks but it didn’t last long as the AWA Heavyweight champion fought back and tagged in Steamboat. Steamboat hit the Top Rope Bodypress but Gang entered the ring. Slaughter stopped him and threw him out of the ring while Steamboat went up top and hit it again on Lawler for the three count!

Supercard #4 Main Event: AWA World Heavyweight Championship Match Sgt. Slaughter (c) vs. Jerry Lawler AWA United States Championship Match Baron Von Raschke (c) vs. Nord the Barbarian vs. Colonel Debeers AWA Tag Team Championship Match The Road Warriors (c) vs. The Powers of Pain Kerry Von Erich vs. Nikita Koloff Power and Glory vs. The Blade Runners Ricky Steamboat vs. Ivan Koloff “Stunning” Steve Austin/TBA vs. Paul Diamond/Jeff Jarrett Terry “The Hulk” Boulder vs. Jim Powers
Results: Terry “The Hulk” Boulder defeats Jim Powers via Running Leg Drop at 9:59. Bobby Heenan said to the camera on their way to the ring that Terry was going to be the next AWA United States champion. Terry looked at his opponent in disgust and once the bell rang immediately tried to throw Powers into the corner but Powers reversed it. He then went on the offensive for most of the match. The crowd was rallying behind Powers but he could not keep the big man down long enough for a pin fall attempt. Boulder managed to end the barrage and overpowered Powers before hitting the Running Leg Drop.
“Stunning” Steve Austin/Jesse “The Body” Ventura defeat Paul Diamond/Jeff Jarrett via count out at 15:10. The crowd booed heavily when Bobby Heenan announced the newest member of the Heenan Family, Jesse “The Body” Ventura. He posed and took it all in. Diamond and Jarrett grew restless and attacked before the bell and the fans started cheering. The former member of Badd Company and Jarrett used quick tags to keep Heenan’s guys off their game. Diamond even hit the Super kick on Ventura but the veteran got his foot on the rope. The end came when Austin threw Jarrett out of the ring. He distracted the referee and Diamond enough for Ventura to hit the Body Breaker. When the referee started to count Jarrett could not make it in before ten.
Ricky Steamboat defeats Ivan Koloff via Top Rope Bodypress at 7:12. Koloff got the crowed riled up after waving the Soviet flag and proclaiming the Soviet’s superiority over the United States. When the match began it was all Steamboat. He used his martial arts as well as his athleticism to keep Koloff down. Koloff started to mount a comeback but Steamboat squashed it and hit the Top Rope Bodypress for the win.
Power and Glory defeat The Blade Runners via Power and Glory Plex at 14:30. The former champs were looking to get back into contention while Hercules and Roma were doing the same. Only one team would and it was the better team: Power and Glory. They worked well together, using different double team maneuvers and kept the Blade Runners separated. They had hit the Power and Glory Plex on Rock but Flash managed to make the pin save. Then Flash was tagged in and when it looked like the Blade Runners would pull away with it, Flash made a mistake and it was the beginning of the end for the Blade Runners. Power and Glory hit the Power and Glory Plex on Flash and Rock showed no interest in making a pin save. After the match he walked back to the dressing rooms while Flash was still recovering in the ring.
Nikita Koloff defeats Kerry Von Erich via Russian Sickle at 8:34. For a match that had so much potential and with the fans wanting to see it, it was disappointing. Von Erich seemed off of his game from the get go and Koloff was keen to take advantage of it. He dominated Von Erich while at the same time spouting off anti-American comments. He hit the Russian Sickle and fans expected Von Erich to explode out of it with a kick out but he did not.
The Road Warriors defeat the Powers of Pain via Doomsday Device at 18:29. The AWA Tag Team titles were on the line. The Road Warriors, who are still unsigned to the AWA, were the reigning champs having won the belts back at Supercard #3. The two teams were even in size and strength while the fans were on the side of the Powers of Pain. The match started and it went back and forth for the first ten minutes or so but the Powers of Pain started to slow down while the Road Warriors kept up their high impact maneuvers. The end came when they hit the Doomsday Device on the Barbarian (pin was an 8 +4 from Doomsday Device for 12) and The Warlord could not make the pin save. The Road Warriors retain AWA Tag Team championship.
Baron Von Raschke defeats Colonel Debeers and Nord the Barbarian via the Iron Claw at 25:54. The AWA United States championship was up for grabs in the Triple Threat match. The match was a vicious one and lived up to expectations. Nord and Debeers double teamed the Baron for the first bit but then Nord turned on Debeers and they battled each other. Debeers managed to get the upperhand and hit the Face First Piledriver outside the ring. He went back inside the ring where he was met with a ferocious onslaught from the Baron. The Baron locked on the Iron Claw and when Nord came in the ring to break it up, he locked it on him as well! The Baron had both men in the dreaded Iron Claw and Colonel Debeers had no choice but to tap out. Baron Von Raschke retains AWA United States championship. (Just so there’s no one thinking I made up the ending, I rolled on the Outside Interference Chart for Nord to attack and it was the Noggin’ Knocker roll so I altered it for the Iron Claw).
Sgt. Slaughter defeats Jerry “The King” Lawler via Cobra Clutch at 16:45. It was the match everyone had been waiting for since Card #25: Super Sunday. Lawler was getting his rematch for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship against Sgt. Slaughter. For weeks Lawler had been bad mouthing the Sarge and the fans were foaming at the mouth for revenge. And they were not disappointed. Slaughter came out firing on all cylinders. He did not engage in Lawler’s war of words leading up to Supercard #4 instead letting his actions tell the tale. He was ferocious and he beat the living day lights out of Lawler. Lawler tried to escape to the outside three times but each time Slaughter was right there to bash his head into the ring post busting him open. Lawler managed to mount one offensive barrage but was unable to do any damage to Slaughter. Slaughter eventually regained control and decided to take it home. He applied the Cobra Clutch and Lawler submitted. Sgt Slaughter retains AWA World Heavyweight Championship!!
