I have a feeling Nord is either headed for a US or World Title shot soon, solid stuff UW... I was glad that one of my champions had a successful title defense. Thanks! I will keep it coming! Big plans in store for AWA! Always good to hear that more excitiment is to come, your AWA has a very good vibe to it... I was glad that one of my champions had a successful title defense. Deep down I was rooting for Kerry but he just couldn't get the job done. Nord is on fire and may get a title shot very soon Yeah thats always key to have someone retain and keep rolling as a champion, I know in my Wrestling AWA Live I'm happy that all three of my crowned champions are still the champions. I can't wait to see how Hercules fairs as your US Champion and his length as that champion...

Card #21 Hercules (c) vs. Ken Patera – United States championship match The Koloffs vs. The Valiants Jimmy Snuka vs. Nick Bockwinkel Verne Gagne on The Hot Seat Ricky Steamboat vs. Jeff Jarrett
Results:
Ricky Steamboat defeats Jeff Jarrett via Flying Crossbody at 8:33. In an impressive debut, Steamboat was looking to send a message throughout the AWA. Jeff Jarrett was standing in his way. The match itself was a great display of agility and technical skill as both wrestlers put on a clinic. In the end though, Steamboat made the most of his chances and hit a dazed Jarrett with the Flying Crossbody. After the match, Steamboat said into the camera that he was coming for Lawler.
Verne Gagne was Bill Apter’s guest on The Hot Seat. Gagne thanked the audience for making Supercard #2 a great success. He congratulated all the wrestlers for putting on the best card to date. Verne then went on to say that due to the AWA’s rising success, he was contacted by the NWA. They asked Verne if the AWA would be interested in doing a joint Supercard. Verne said that negotiations went well and that Card #30 would be Supercard #3: AWA vs. NWA!! Matches will be announced on future cards.
Nick Bockwinkel defeats Jimmy Snuka via pinfall at 12:12. Since entering the AWA, Bockwinkel has been on an impressive roll. Looking to capitalize on his success after beating Curt Hennig at Supercard #2, Bockwinkel was facing Snuka. This would not be an easy match for Bockwinkel. Snuka came out firing and controlled most of the match. Snuka was aiming for a win to put him in possible title contention. It just wasn’t in the cards on this night. Snuka appeared to have the match won and went up top for the Superfly Leap. Bobby Heenan had other plans. He pushed Snuka off of the turnbuckle and Bockwinkel was able to cover him for the win.
The Koloffs defeat The Valiants via Russian Sickle at 7:02. The Koloffs had been on a tear as of late and it continued into this card. The Valiants, fresh off of their loss to the Blade Runners, were looking to get back on track and get a rematch for the gold. The Koloffs stood in their way and were not about to let the former champs gain any ground in the tag team division. Nikita and Ivan had the ring cut in half and just dominated the Valiants. The match was over once Nikita hit the Russian Sickle. It now appears that the Koloffs are in line for a tag team title shot.
Hercules defeats Ken Patera via Backbreaker Rack at 14:32. It was a rematch from Supercard #2 and the United States championship. Patera said in comments before the match that he would not be leaving without the United States championship. Like their first match, this match was a brutal slobber knocker. At one stage, Patera seemed on the verge of winning back his title but Hercules managed to kick out. Eventually Hercules was able to capitalize on one of Patera’s mistakes and he hit the Backbreaker Rack for the win. Hercules retains United States championship.

Card #22 Jerry Lawler (c) vs. Sgt. Slaughter – non title match The Blade Runners (c) vs. The Koloffs – AWA Tag Team Title Match The Hot Seat with Verne Gagne Power Warrior vs. Nick Bockwinkel Iron Sheik vs. Ricky Steamboat
Results:
Ricky Steamboat defeats Iron Sheik via Flying Crossbody at 7:18. Ricky Steamboat made a comment on the last card about having his sights set on the AWA championship. Iron Sheik stood in the way but Steamboat was up to the challenge. They traded blows in the early going but Steamboat eventually took over. He kept Iron Sheik guessing with his quickness and was able to stay out of the way of Sheik’s loaded boots. Seizing the opportunity, Steamboat hit Sheik with the Flying Crossbody for the win.
Power Warrior vs. Nick Bockwinkel – time limit draw at 15:00. In one of the best matches to date, Bockwinkel was looking to continue his climb up the ladder while Power Warrior was looking to secure his place in the rankings. Power Warrior dominated Bockwinkel early on hitting him with high impact moves, including a devastating piledriver but Bockwinkel kicked out. Bockwinkel then went on the offense and had many near falls. He even locked in the Bockwinkel Sleeper but Power Warrior powered out of it. As time expired, Power Warrior kicked out again and the referee called it. After the match, Bockwinkel extended his hand to Power Warrior. When Power Warrior went to shake it, Bockwinkel slapped him, then clotheslined him and locked on the Figure Four Leglock. Officials eventually separated them. A new feud in the making.
Verne Gagne appeared on the Hot Seat. He announced that at Supercard #3: AWA vs. NWA, the main event would pit the NWA World Champion Harley Race, against the AWA World Champion Jerry Lawler. Other matches announced would be the NWA Mid-Atlantic Champion Dynamite Kid taking on the AWA United States Champion Hercules. There is no word yet if any titles will be on the line.
The Blade Runners defeat The Koloffs via Bearhug/Vicious Blow at 13:43. This was the Blade Runners biggest match to date. They had to prove that their championship reign was not a fluke. They were facing the Koloffs and it would be no easy task. Ivan Koloff nearly scored an early pin over Flash after a backbreaker. After that, the Blade Runners seemed to calm down. The action went back and forth with many near falls for both sides. Fans were on the edge of their seats for this one. The Blade Runners hit the Bearhug/Vicious Blow. Ivan came running in for the pin save. Rock got to him first, threw him out of the ring and then the Blade Runners hit their finisher again. Nikita was unable to kick out. The Blade Runners retain the AWA Tag Team championship.
Jerry Lawler defeats Sgt Slaughter via disqualification at 9:43. In this non title match, Lawler appeared to be taking it not so seriously. It nearly cost him. Sgt Slaughter came out firing, hit a slingshot then locked on the Camel Clutch! Lawler got to the ropes before serious damage could be done. Slaughter continued to hammer away on him. Lawler eventually fought back and hit his Piledriver. Slaughter kicked out! Slaughter seemed to be making a comeback. The fans were on their feet. They might actually see Lawler lose a match! Lawler rolled out of the ring. Slaughter followed. Here, Slaughter let his emotions get the better of him and despite the referee’s warnings, he continued to hammer on Lawler. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell.

I think we need a rematch between Lawler and Slaughter with the belt on the line, a good event in the end...
