The Tag Grand Prix is Wild, it's cool seeing Team FIST & Osirian Portal doing well and the end of Night One with the Double DQ ending was Solid and having a full on brawl to close just made that event Cool...

Thanks Crimson.
I was prepared to go a few ways depending on where the dice led me. The Order was on the way to the ring to save Mantis from sure defeat and I rolled "12"
Had to take a break though. These tourneys are long. I'll try to wrap up tonight.

*SPECIAL UPDATE* (A smiling Larry Sweeney stands backstage at the Tag World Grand Prix 2011 with Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) LS: "Whoa. Yeah! That's right baby! Feast your eyes on the greatest team in the world of wrestling today - the Kings of Wrestling. Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli and yours truly "The Golden Palamino" Larry Sweeney. But don't just take my word for it. Take a look at the proof. (Hero and Castagnoli hold up the Trophy) All that's left now to erase any shadow of a doubt to my claims would be for my clients to win the Charm City Tag Team titles, which shouldn't be to hard to do since we just beat the so-called champions right in the center of the ring to win this shiny trophy. Mark my words, Briscoes it's only a matter of time for that to happen. And when it does it will only be the first phase of our eventual takeover of this miserable wrestling organization. You aint seen nothing yet! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Charm City Championship Wrestling April 10, 2011 Frederick Equestrian Center Frederick, Maryland
Card #13 - "While the City Sleeps"
*Before the card started BUFF BAGWELL marched out to the ring and demanded the mic. He quickly called out both APRIL HUNTER and TYLER BLACK.
"It's time we finally got some things straight. First, I'm Buff and I'm the stuff. Second, April if you want to manage me them I must be your one and only priority. Third, Tyler Black I just don't like you. Greasy hair. Horrible body type. I have no idea what she sees in you. So let's put and end to it right now. I want a match with you and the loser walks away and the winner gets the stay."
Black didn't say much. He slapped Bagwell and simply shook his head yes.
1) Tyler Black pinned Buff Bagwell with the PHOENIX SPLASH @ 5:12 after April Hunter tripped up Bagwell.
A good exchange at the start. Hunter said she would be impartial but her actions said otherwise. As Bagwell went into the turnbuckle she tripped him up and he fell facefirst. This allowed Black to ascend to the buckles and land a spectacular 450 Corkscrew splash. Bagwell was easy prey. Black and Hunter left arm in arm. Bagwell humilated by the fans taunts left through the crowd and did not go back to the locker room.
2) The Order of the Neo Solar Temple (w/Ultramantis Black) beat The Osirian Portal when Crossbones pinned Ophidian with the FREAKIN SWEET DRIVER @ 3:10.
The Portal didn't get much offense in during this match as Crossbones and Harker Dirge used crisp tags and teamwork to keep Ophidian from slithering away.
3) Brodie Lee (w/Eddie Fyne) beat "The Shooter" Brent Albright @ 11:45 when Fyne threw powder in Albright's eyes after a running tackle attempt.
Lee used his superior strength to keep Albright at bay. A reverse whip and Albright went for a shoulder tackle. Lee dodged it and instead caught a face full of white powder from Lee's manager. The ref was alreadt down due to an earlier bump and when he awoke counted three with no idea of the infraction.
-Crusierweight #1 Contenders Match- 4) "Sweet N' Sour" Larry Sweeney beat Jigsaw by COUNTOUT @ 17:02 when a Masked Man Olympic Slammed Jigsaw through a table!
Jigsaw was all over Sweeney most of the match. To Sweeney's credit he took a ton of punishment on his own until his charges showed up - Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli at ringside. Sweeney backdropped Jigsaw on to the floor and Hero distracted the ref and Claudio urged his manager on. Then from under the ring the masked man who attacked Mike Quackenbush back in December appeared. He gave a brutal Olympic Slam through a table and attempted to exit back under the ring. Mike Quackenbush was out and rushed under the ring to confront the masked man. Meanwhile the count of ten was made and Sweeney declared the winner. From under the ring the man emerged without his cover revealing - TIM DONST! He then left with his compatriots down to the locker room as Quackenbush emerged with the mask in hand.
5) Theater of Pain (w/Louden Noxious) defeated Al Snow when Tragedy pinned Snow with the TEAR JERKER @ 2:55.
The Sandman was a no-show and not even Al Snow knew why he wasn't in the building. Could there have been chicanery involved? Snow went in by himself but it didn't take long for the masked team to finish Snow off. Noxious then ordered his men to continue their assaul when suddenly another masked competitor hit the scene. It was DASHER HATFIELD, complete with baseball bat who chased off the heels and extended his hand to Snow.
6)"The Star" Austin Aries pinned "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush with the SLINGHOT SENTON @ 11:01.
Aries once again sent his manager Eddie Fyne and Bodyguard Brodie Lee to the back. Lee was happy to go while Fyne began to argue. The match began with a handshake and the fans were treated an even fast paced encounter. The end saw Aries revert back to form as he distracted the official, Brodie Lee was back out at ringside and leveled Quack with a steel chair. He tossed in a limp Quackenbush and Aries hit a beautiful Senton for the win. After the match he shook hands with Lee and embraced Fyne who emerged from the back. I guess Aries is back to breaking the rules to win.
7) "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beat Icarus by DISQUALIFICATION @ 6:55 when Chuck Taylor and Gran Akuma hit the ring.
Danielson attacked Icarus before the bell and the match the was on. The American Dragon controlled most of the action and then locked in a Crossface Chicken wing. The rest of F.I.S.T. hit the ring causing the ref to ring the bell. Taylor threw the official out of the ring and it was a three on one. Before much damage could be done Nigel McGuiness made the save with chair in hand to run off the heels.
-CCW Heavyweight Title Match- 8) "Rising Sun" Joe Armstrong (c) beat Delirious with the SUPER DRAGON DROP @ 16:35.
This was a return title match due to Bishop Hell's interference last time that cost Delirious the match. This was Rising Sun's stiffest test to date and he had a few near falls almost go against him. Armstrong was able to narrowly pull out the victory in the end. He wanted to shake hands with the masked man who suddenly went beserk and attacked Armstrong. He continued his Panic Attack knee strikes into the corner and then hit a Bizzaro Driver in the center of the ring before CCW officials attempted to restrain him.

Excellent action and 3 correct out of the 6 picks, plus it's good to see both Sweeney & Aries win their respective matches, plus the rule breaking Aries is the best to root for...

I'm happy with how things are shaping. I'm really trying to resist putting all the Chikara set that I just got to work too quickly.
I had big plans for Aries and he couldn't seem to win a match so I gave him a bit of conscience. He soon realized that he likes being a rule breaker too.

Charm City Championship Wrestling April 17, 2011 The Green Room Dundalk,Maryland
Card #14 - "Tooth and Nail"
1) "The Shooter" Brent Albright beat Tragedy (w/Louden Noxious) by DISQUALIFICATION @ 7:45 when he rammed Albright's head repeatedly into the ringsteps.
The huge masked man Tragedy gave Albright a ton of problems. As the match went to the outside he would not let Albright up and the ref had no choice but to ring the bell. As CCW officials came out to break things up the big threw each uniformed man to the ground. Finally Charlie Cox made his way out and demanded that he stop. Louden Noxious grabbed the mic - "Are you ready to take me seriously now? Mr. Cox you will rue the day that you layed your hands on me." And with that Tragedy and Noxious left through the crowd.
2) Tyler Black (w/April Hunter) beat Amasis with GOD'S LAST GIFT @ 5:12.
Black controlled most of the action and ended things fairly quickly and out the Funky Pharoah to rest. April Hunter grabbed the mic - "Now that I'm rid of that overrated bum, Bore Bagwell. We can focus on more important things like the Heavyweight title. Joe Armstrong you can't duck him forever."
3) "King of Diamonds" Eddie Kingston, D'Lo Brown & Al Snow beat The Heartbreak Express & "The Star" Austin Aries (w/Eddie Fyne) when Brown pinned Sean Davis with the LO-DOWN @ 15:45.
D'Lo came off the top rope with his patented Frog Splash on the rotund Superstar as the others fought all over the ring.
4) Dasher Hatfield pinned Comedy with the GRANDSLAM @ 6:25
Charlie Cox was out right away and while he threatened to suspend Louden Noxious and his masked team he could not since Noxious claimed that his lawyer RD Evans had already phoned him. Mr. Evans claimed that he would be in breach of contract since this match was already signed. Cox simply ordered Noxious and Tragedy to the locker room and specified that if they did interfere tonight then he did have the rights to suspend all of them. The match saw Hatfield get the crowd behind him and eventually he finished things off with a huge slam from the top rope.
5) Jigsaw beat Tim Donst (w/Larry Sweeney) by Disqualification @ 5:15 when Sweeney interfered.
Donst was out quickly and was in offensive command until Jig ducked and Donst was on the floor. A plancha to the concrete turned the tables and the masked man hit his JIG N TONIC finish. Sweeney was quicker than the official as he landed on top of the ref with an elbow drop. A 2 on 1 ensued until Mike Quackenbush hit the ring and helped his partner fight off the attack.
6) "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson & Nigel McGuinness beat Team F.I.S.T. (w/Chuck Taylor) when Danielson pinned Icarus with a YAKUZA KICK @ 11:45.
A very fast paced tag team match between the two. Danielson got a measure of revenge as he landed a few good shots on Taylor who tried to interfere as well as dishing out punishment to the rest of Team F.I.S.T. The end saw McGuinness land a Lariat on Akuma while Danielson finished off Icarus.
-Charm City Cruiserweight Title match- 7) Ultramantis Black fought "Sweet N' Sour" Larry Sweeney to a DOUBLE COUNTOUT @ 16:45.
At the start of this match Commissioner Charlie Cox wanted this match to have a positive finish so all members of their respective stables were banished to the back. The fans were treated a great match but we didn't get the positive finish that everyone wanted. Sweeney's leap from the buckles to the floor hurt not only him but his opponent as both ended up semi-conscious.
-Charm City Tag Team Title Match- 2 out 3 Falls- 8) The Kings of Wrestling defeated Jay & Mark Briscoe (c) 2 Falls to 1 to capture the tag team titles.
Larry Sweeney was unable to appear at ringside.
Fall # 1 - Jay Briscoe pinned Chris Hero @ 10:45 with the DEATH VALLEY DRIVER. Fall #2 - Claudio Castagnoli pinned Jay Briscoe with the ALPAMARE WATERSLIDE @ 17:03. Fall # 3 - Chris Hero pinned Mark Briscoe with the HERO SANDWICH @ 21:21.
