Nice 1. Thantos (love to see Mr. Banks' take on this legend) 2. Commander Sam (know some folks didn't care for him, but was one of my fav's) 3. Exo-King (the king in all his glory) 4. Lord Nexus (once a hero, always a hero) 5. Massif (Rob is right, would be nice to see Massif get a new take) 6. Executioner (the headsman is back!)

!. Star Warrior(ultimate hero) 2. Thantos(ultimate villian) 3. Wolf(posterboy) 4.Massacre(original bad-ass) 5.Brute(original bad-ass) 6.Commander Sam(colorful old tough guy)
I would also like to say that Spike, although he didn't appear in the first edition, did a LOT in the early years to bring in new customers(myself included) as the "guy in the PWI ad" and is VERY deserving of a color card in this set.

I pulled out my 2087 cards and configured them every which way trying to determine the wrestlers that best define and represent the diversity of COTG. I don't think it gets any more iconic than this...
1. Comrade Terror (the ALIEN terrorist) 2. Exo-King (part ROBOT) 3. Thantos (EVIL incarnate) 4. Star Warrior (GOOD champion) 5. Wolf (ANIMAL savagery) 6. Pit Viper (the man in the MASK)
Wrap the cards up in a panoramic fold-out with the Villains facing the Heroes in the order listed above and it's a done deal!

The obvious ones are pretty glaring: Star Warrior, Thantos, Brute, Massacre, and Wolf. Although, I'm not too high on the idea of Wolf getting a card here since Banks has already drawn him. Recently, at that. Some ones that are really intriguing to me: Exo-King: One of my faves from the original set. Banks would rock this art. Vanity: Jobber? Yes. Iconic? Yes. Seems like a really fun idea to redo this character. Pit Viper: Since I can't vote for Splatter, I'll vote for his Blood Brother. A new/old Pit Viper would be rad. For me personally, there are a few Carter classics that I think are better left alone - namely Comrade Terror and Mutant. Really excited for this news...CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW IT ALL TURNS OUT!

Wow this is a great announcement and makes me want to go to g con this year even more hope I can just for this set alone lol. Well like everyone else the obvious ones to me are Star Warrior, Thantos, Brute and Massacre. I agree Wolf has had a lot of cards and even tho he is one of my favs I would love to see others get a card before him.
As for my 6th its a toss up I would love to see Massif or Exo-King but a Comander Sam or Death Knight would be cool. but here is one other what about one of the Founder of the GWF Omega that would be cool as well.
