I have complained repeatedly about my fed's population problem for some time now. I am now nearing 80 active male wrestlers...something MUST be done by the end of this game year to make it all more manageable for me. I would like some input from the peanut gallery. My choices, as I see them:
1) NWA style territorial split. Multiple feds, roving World Champion(s).
2) Full on, WCW vs WWF Fed war. Intense competition between feds, etc.
3) WWE style brand split. Draft lottery...either make the World titles transferable between brands, or give each brand their own belt.
4) Just can a ton of people and don't use those cards while I work the fed into a manageable number.
5) Something Else Entirely.
Thoughts?
I, personally, see upsides to all of the first three.

I'd go with a combination of 2 and 4. Even without bootlegs, it's impossible to use all of the wresters in one fed. The fed war seems more exciting than the brand extension to me.

A brand split with an initial draft and then following drafts annually. Drafts can be so much fun and exciting that I would go for this option. Although a fed war could be really cool too. Those two options could even be combined in like a brand war under the same fed banner.

I have taken my legends fed and divided them into quasi territories. I just don't have time to run 2 or 3 more feds, as I am already running a gwf/pow branded fed. The wrestlers have 'territores' they wrestle for and each has its champ then there are major champions, for Heavyweight, Tag, and secondary major titles such as US, and Intercontential... I think that its the best way to run a fed, and use alot of guys.

Toughy...I like the idea of the Monday Night Wars...if you have time to make it work that is...possibly have a lottery to determine who goes where and if you don't like where they are initially put... have a winning brand of a match gets the draft pick like WWE...just thoughts...

I also voted for the brand split.
My LOW fed, Major League Wrestling (MLW) has had a brand split (there are actually 3 full brands and a 4th developmental brand called Minor League Wrestling where the roster is mostly LOTF cards) for quite awhile now and I really enjoy it alot. At around 35 wrestlers per brand, my brand split has allowed me to use almost all of the LOW cards without me feeling overloaded in terms of the roster. And to keep things fresh, I've had an annual draft (my annual draft is going to be taking place in late May).
But a fed war would be really cool too. You could even do both a fed war and a brand split where the loser of your fed war becomes absorbed by the winning fed and then becomes the other brand of that fed.

Have a few dis-gruntled wrestlers start up their own fed (you would need a figure head owner with them) and this could lead to two seperate feds. (WCW vs. WWF) Whether you want to have them doing takent raids and such is your call..or give away match results, because that will put butts in seats!
Just do what you feel would work with your guys. Its all good.

At one time, I thought of doing the disputed title change as a reason to start a second fed. That might be something to consider. Some promoters choose to not recognize the title change and leave, taking a sizeable chunk of the roster with them

If you have time to play them all - #1 If not - #4 and rotate talent in and out

Some promoters choose to not recognize the title change and leave, taking a sizeable chunk of the roster with them I REALLY should have done this at Starrcade last year...perfect opportunity. "Elegant" Eddie Fyne was working as a referee, screwed George Hackenschmidt out of the title, giving Frank Gotch the belt, then joining forces with him as his new manager. I have basically been kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on that one then.
