Road of Champions: Carolina Crunch - Night 1: Jerry Lynn vs. Bob Roop: Lynn and Roop got the crowd fired up in the opening match. Roop used his size and strength to his advantage but Lynn kept coming back. Lynn wore Roop down with a small package and a twisting leg drop on the apron before getting the win with the Cradle Piledriver.
William Muldoon vs. Les Thatcher: Thatcher and Muldoon wrestled a technical masterpiece. Thatcher took a beating but kept reversing Muldoon's attacks, first with a crossbody for a near fall and then with a small package. Finally, Thatcher was able to clamp on the Stump Puller for a much needed win.
Super Crazy vs. Cowboy Bob Orton: Orton took Crazy apart, wearing him down with a middle rope splash before getting the win with the second rope powerslam.
Mike Quackenbush vs. Eddie Gilbert: Quackenbush gave Gilbert some tense moments early on with the running palm strike and the Quackendriver but Gilbert bounced back. He wore Quack down with neckbreaker clothesline and a piledriver before getting the win with the Hot Shot.
Danny Hodge vs. Adrian Street: Fresh off his loss to Muraco, Hodge toe into Street, wearing him down with an Indian Deathlock and two Oklahoma Rolls before clamping on the Indian Deathlock a second time for the win.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Kevin Sullivan: Sullivan and Nigel battled all over the ring area. Nigel focused on Sullivan's arm, wearing him down with two London Dungeons. Sullivan regained control and wore Nigel down with vicious brawling tactics. Sullivan whipped Nigel to the ropes and Nigel hit the Jawbreaker Lariat out of nowhere for the win.
After the match, the One Man Gang came out of the crowd and double teamed Nigel until security arrived.
Mr. Fuji vs. Ivan Koloff: Fuji and Koloff battled back and forth, both bending the rules as far as the referee would allow. Koloff wowed the crowd with a crossbody from the top. Fuji kicked out but Koloff locked him in the Russian Bear Hug for the win.
It was announced that tomorrow night's announced match between Nigel McGuinness and Mike Quackenbush has been changed to Nigel vs. The One Man Gang!
Don Muraco (with Captain Lou Albano) vs. Tyler Black for the RoC Universal Crown!: Muraco and Black fought back and forth. Black hit Muraco with an Enzuigiri two minutes into the match and nearly got the upset victory. Muraco battled back and hit the Asiatic Spike but couldn't follow up on it. Black nailed Muraco with another Enzuigiri and hit the Phoenix Splash.
It looked like a new RoC Universal Crown champion was about to be crowned when Captain Lou climbed up on the apron. Black went to attack Lou and Muraco snuck up behind him but Black rocked them with a noggin knocker. Muraco managed to get a foot on the ropes. Black unloaded on Muraco but the big Hawaiian wouldn't stay down. Muraco left the ring and Black followed. Muraco turned the tables on Black and smashed him with a chair. Muraco threw Black into the ring and hit the Hawaiian Hammer to retain the gold.

Carolina Crunch - Night 2: Austin Aries vs. Bob Roop: Aries and Roop fought a good opening match. Aries looked great but was continuously frustrated by Roop's strength advantage. Roop wore Aries down with a neckbreaker and a piledriver before getting the win via a shoulderbreaker.
William Muldoon vs. Roderick Strong: Strong dominated Muldoon early on, wearing him down with a Yakuza Kick and two Gibson Drivers. The Solid Man wouldn't stay down and mounted a comeback, wearing Strong down with two suplexes before getting the win via a body lift and throw.
Bryan Danielson vs. Les Thatcher: Danielson mauled Thatcher early on, wearing him down with the Cattle Mutilation and the Triangle Choke. Thatcher mounted a miraculous comeback but it fell short when he missed a crossbody from the top. Danielson nearly took his head off with the Yakuza kick for the win.
Super Crazy vs. Kevin Sullivan: Sullivan destroyed Super Crazy, knocking him senseless with a running clothesline and getting the quick win with the Double Foot Stop.
Nigel McGuinness vs. One Man Gang: Nigel just couldn't get any momentum going against the giant One Man Gang. Gang hit the 747 Splash twice for the win.
After the match, Sullivan, Bob Roop, and One Man Gang triple teamed Nigel until William Muldoon and Les Thatcher made the save.
Jerry Lynn vs. Mad Dog Vachon: Vachon started strong but Lynn proved to be too much for him. Jerry wore him down with two DDTs and a twisting leg drop on the apron before getting the win with the Cradle Piledriver.
Danny Hodge vs. Cowboy Bob Orton: Cowboy Bob Orton and Danny Hodge wrestled the match of the night. Hodge wore Orton down with a crossbody and scored near falls with two Oklahoma Rolls. Orton battled back and got a big win with the Superplex.
Don Muraco & Mr. Fuji vs. Eddie Gilbert & Ivan Koloff: Fuji and Koloff started the match. Fuji wore Koloff down and hit the Banzai Drop and tagged in Muraco. Koloff took control and busted Muraco open with the chain and tagged in Eddie Gilbert.
Muraco regained control and he and Fuji dismantled Gilbert with quick tgs. Muraco hit the Spike four times and got the win with the Hawaiian Hammer.
After the match, Koloff knocked Fuji out with the chain and he and Muraco brawled all over the ring area until security and policemen mobbed the ring.

Monsters of Wrestling - Night 1: Davy Richards vs. Mike Quackenbush: Quackenbush took the fight to Richards early on, scoring near falls with a crossbody and a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Richards rallied and made a comeback, nearly scoring the win with a small package. Richards drilled Quackenbush with a brainbuster and a DR Driver but Quackenbush got his foot on the ropes. Richards hit a second brainbuster for the win.
Austin Aries vs. Super Crazy: Super Crazy started strong, nearly getting the win with a sunset flip. Aries took control and went on a tear, wearing crazy down with three brutal brainbusters before clamping on the Last Chancery for the win.
Jerry Lynn vs. Les Thatcher: Lynn and Thatcher battled back and forth. Lynn took control and scored a near fall with the top rope hurracanrana. Thatcher kicked out but Lynn scored the win with a big Cradle Piledriver.
William Muldoon vs. One Man Gang: The One Man Gang took the Solid Man lightly and paid the price. Muldoon chipped away at the giant, absorbing a lot of punishment in the process. Muldoon wore down gang with multiple suplexes and shoulder locks before getting the win with a suplex.
Bryan Danielson vs. Mad Dog Vachon: Danielson tore into Vachon at the opening bell, scoring near falls with a suplex and a missile dropkick. Vachon battled back but Danielson regained control, nailing the diving headbutt for a near fall. Danielson clamped on the Cattle Mutilation but Vachon got to the ropes. As Danielson argued with the referee, Vachon recovered and scored a near fall with the airplane spin. Vachon followed it up with a double foot stop for another near fall. Vachon hit the airplane spin a second time for the win.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Bob Roop: Nigel and Roop battled back and forth. Roop wore Nigel down with the reverse stepover toe hold and got a near fall with the shoulder breaker. Roop made the mistake of going to the top rope and Nigel made him pay. Nigel wore Roop down with two London Dungeons and nearly knocked him unconscious with the Jawbreaker Lariat. Roop staggered to his feet and Nigel hit the Jawbreaker Lariat a second time for the win.
Mr. Fuji vs. Tyler Black: Mr. Fuji attacked Tyler Black before the bell, wearing him down with brawling tactics. Fuji threw salt in Black's face and rolled him up for the win.
Don Muraco vs. Ivan Koloff for the Road of Champions Universal Crown!: The referee ordered Mr. Fuji and Eddie Gilbert to the back before the match began. Muraco and Koloff battled back and forth. Muraco hit the Hawaiian Hammer but Koloff kicked out. Koloff made a comeback and hit the falling face slam but Muraco kicked out. Muraco mounted a comeback and went to the top rope but Koloff threw him to the mat and hit the falling face slam a second time for the win. Ivan Koloff is the new Ring of Champions Universal Crown champion!

Well Don Muraco couldn't hold off Koloff and now we'll see if the Russian Bear can have a decent reign as the RoC Champion. Wow! It's really cool seeing Mad Dog Vachon over Bryan Danielson, that must have been a surprise I take...

Road of Champions: Monsters of Wrestling - Night 2: Austin Aries vs. Mike Quackenbush: Aries started strong and scored a near fall with the frog splash. Quackenbush battled back and hit teh Quackendriver II but Aries got his foot on the ropes. Aries turned the match around and locked on the Last Chancery but Quackenbush got to the ropes. Aries argued with the referee and turned right into a Quackenbush Running Palm Strike. Quackenbush covered him for the win.
Davy Richards vs. Super Crazy: Richards unloaded on Super Crazy, never giving Crazy a chance to build up any momentum. Richards scored nera falls with teh sooting star press, the tombstone piledriver, and the Brainbuster. Super Crazy rolled out of the ring and was counted out.
Roderick Strong vs. Les Thatcher: Strong wore Thatcher down using two powerbomb backbreakers and two Gibson Drivers but couldn't put Thatcher away. Strong went to the top rope and hit a crossbody but Thatcher rolled through for a near fall. Strong hit another backbreaker and locked on the Stronghold for the win.
Wiliam Muldoon vs. Bob Roop: Roop started strong, using his strength advantage to wear Muldoon down. Roop hit two shoulder breakers but couldn't put the Solid Man away. Muldoon bounced back and used the Body Lift and Throw three times for the win.
Danny Hodge vs. Mad Dog Vachon: Mad Dog attacked Hodge before the bell and hit a big piledriver for a near fall. Mad Dog whipped Hodge to the ropes and Hodge rebounded, kicking Mad Dog in the face and using the Oklahoma Sideroll to score a quick win.
Jerry Lynn vs. Eddie Gilbert: Gilbert took control at the opening bell. Lynn surprised Gilbert with a small package for a near fall. Lynn whipped Gilbert to the ropes and Gilbert scored a near fall with a sunset flip. Gilbert followed it up with a Hotshot for a near fall. Gilbert hit a big DDT but Lynn managed to get his foot on the ropes. Gilbert dragged Lynn up by his hair and hit a second DDT for the win.
Bryan Danielson vs. Cowboy Bob Orton: Orton and Danielson battled back and forth, the Cowboy's strength frustrating the American Dragon. Danielson battled back and locked on the Cattle Mutilation but Orton made it to the ropes. Danielson dragged Orton to the center of the ring and locked on the Triangle Choke for the win.
Ivan Koloff vs. Tyler Black - Road of Champions Universal Crown: Black attacked Koloff before the bell and unloaded on the Russian Bear. Black scored a near fall with a crossbody and hit the Turnbuckle Powerbomb and went for the pin but Eddie Gilbert pulled the referee out of the ring. The referee ordered Gilbert away from ringside and the match resumed. Black rocked Koloff with three enzuigiri and went to the top. Black hit the Phoenix Splash for the win. Tyler Black is the new Road of Champions Universal Crown holder!
