RoC continues to have a fun, twisting & entertaining blend of action and the Championship Belt continues to move from one wrestler to another, but Lou Thesz could be a true threat that can make an impact, good stuff Gun...

Just getting caught up on the action. Great stuff. If Thesz, I cannot see anyone keeping him from the gold.

Thanks for reading, guys. Once I play a few more weekend double shots, I'll probably go to a more traditional weekly show and turn Thesz loose.
Funny thing, I couldn't stop Tyler Black. I had to have some interference to save Muraco's belt from him and then Eddie Gilbert couldn't keep him from winning the gold from Ivan Koloff.

Road of Champions : Texas Tornado - Night 1: Lou Thesz vs. Les Thatcher: Thesz outwrestled Thatcher and quickly hit the Thesz Press for the win.
Danny Hodge vs. Cowboy Bob Orton: Orton and Hodge battled back and forth. Hodge hit two crossbodies but couldn't keep Orton down. He rolled him up in the Oklahoma Sideroll but Orton got his shoulder up. Hodge hit the Oklahoma Sideroll a second time but Orton was too close to the ropes. The match spilled out to the floor and Orton took control. He hit the Superplex but Hodge kicked out. Orton dragged Hodge out on the apron and suplexed him on the concrete. Hodge was counted out.
Super Crazy vs. Bob Roop: Roop taunted Super Crazy and toyed with him, using his strength advantage to throw Crazy around the ring. Crazy surprised Roop out of nowhere with the Leaping DDT for the win.
Jerry Lynn vs. Roderick Strong: Lynn took Strong to school, softening him up with two crossbody blocks before hitting the Cradle Piledriver for the win.
Ivan Koloff vs. Nigel McGuinness: Nigel wore Koloff down with three London Dungeons before getting the win via the London Dungeon.
Bryan Danielson vs. Austin Aries: Danielson and Aries wrestled a back and forth match. Aries managed to hold the momentum long enough to lock on the Last Chancery in the center of the ring, forcing Danielson to tap out.
Davey Richard vs. William Muldoon: Richards and Muldoon wrestled a technical masterpiece, electrifying the crowd with holds and counter holds. Richards took the advantage long enough to hit the DR Driver but Muldoon shook off the effects. The two men battled all over the ring area and Richards managed to hit the DR Driver a second time for the win.
Don Muraco vs. Eddie Gilbert: Gilbert attacked the former champ before the bell and quickly hit the Hotshot for a near fall. Muraco battled back and unloaded on Gilbert. He scored near falls with the falling face slam and the neckbreaker before nailing Gilbert with the Asiatic Spike. Gilbert got his foot on the ropes but the damage was done. Muraco hit a big vertical suplex and followed it up with the Hawaiian Hammer for the win.
After the match, Muraco got on the mic and said that if he didn't regain the RoC Universal Crown in the Round Robin challenge, he'd leave the federation, never to return!

Muraco wore Koloff down with the Asiatic Spike and hit the Hawiian Hammer a second time for the win.

Les Thatcher vs. Mike Quackenbush: Quackenbush took control early and never let up. He softened Thatcher up with the Quackendriver II and hit the Quackendriver III for the win.
Jerry Lynn vs. Bob Roop: Lynn and Roop wrestled a hard fought match. Lynn hit the Cradle Piledriver early on but Roop got his foot on the ropes. Roop took control and hit the shoulder breaker but Lynn managed to kick out. Lynn battled back and hit another cradle piledriver but Roop kicked out. The match spilled outside the ring and Roop smashed Lynn with a chair, drawing the DQ.
Tyler Black vs. Ivan Koloff - Match 2 of the Round Robin Challenge: Black and Koloff battled back and forth. Black gained the upper hand and unloaded on Koloff, scoring near falls with the Paroxysm and God's Last Gift. Black went to the top and hit the Phoenix Splash for the win.
After the match, Eddie Gilbert came out to the ring, shaking his head. He got on the mic and told Ivan Koloff he was fired. Koloff moved to attack Gilbert and Gilbert threw a fireball in his face and left through the crowd.
Davey Richards vs. Danny Hodge: Richards tore into Hodge, who was still suffering from the effects of the suplex from the apron at the hands of Cowboy Bob Orton from the previous night. Richards wore Hodge down with the DR Driver, a shooting star press, and the northern lights suplex. Hodge made a comeback and whipped Richards to the ropes. Richards put on the breaks and wrapped Hodge up in a small package for the win.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Mr. Fuji: Nigel started strong but it quickly became apparent that Mr. Fuji had his number. Fuji threw salt in Nigel's eyes and hit two Banzai Drops for the win.
Tyler Black vs. Don Muraco - Final Match of the Round Robin Challenge: Muraco tore Black apart, wearing him down with two Asiatic Spikes before hitting the Hawaiian Hammer for the win. Don Muraco has regained the RoC Universal Crown!

It's good to see Muraco back as the Champion and it's cool seeing Mr.Fuji win in your fed Gun, Fuji has been on roll for me too. Lou Thesz looks to be on the right track and soon enough the Champion may it be Muraco or someone else, they better watch out...

I'm planning on waiting until I go to weekly TV instead of weekend double shots to really start pushing Thesz toward the belt. It'll probably be in December since I doubt I'll have much time to play during November since I'll be doing National Novel Writing month again this year. I'm pleased with Fuji too. After the two shows in Mexico, RoC will be going to Japan and Fuji will be in a couple big matches.
