Hey, Gang. I should have a bit more free time for the next couple months. No idea how often I'll be able to post. Here's a preview of the first two Road of Champions shows. I'll be doing double shot weekends for the foreseeable future.

Champion's Road – Night 1 Danny Hodge vs. William Muldoon – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Hodge wore Muldoon down with a boston crab and a cobra twist before getting the win via the Oklahoma Roll.
Jerry Lynn vs. Adrian Street – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Street made short work of Lynn, winning with the Crucifix.
Super Crazy vs. Mad Dog Vachon – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Mad Dog Vachon mauled Super Crazy, busting him open with hard punches. Vachon whipped Crazy to the buckles but Crazy got his knees up, knocking Vachon senseless. Super Crazy hit the Triple Moonsault to advance to the second round of the RoC Universal Crown championship tournament.
Kevin Sullivan vs. Mike Quackenbush – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Sullivan and Quackenbush battled back and forth. Quackenbush rallied and got a near fall with the tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Sullivan battled back and knocked Quackenbush senseless with a running forearm. Sullivan hit the Double Stomp for the win to advance.
Davey Richards vs. Nigel McGuinness – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Nigel attacked Richards at the opening bell and never let up. Nigel hit Richards with three Jawbreaker Lariats before getting the submission victory with the London Dungeon.
Austin Aries vs. Eddie Gilbert – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Aries and Gilbert fought all over the ring area.. Aries scored a near fall with the Pendulum Elbow. Gilbert made a comeback and scored a near fall with a DDT. Aries rolled out of the ring and was nearly counted out. Gilbert rolled him back into the ring and hit the Hotshot but Aries managed to get his shoulder up. Gilbert hit a big piledriver but Aries got his foot on the ropes. Gilbert whipped Aries to the ropes and hit the Hot Shot a second time for the win.
After the match, Eddie Gilbert got on the mic and said he was going to be the first Road of Champions Universal Heavyweight champion!
Tyler Black vs. Don Muraco – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Muraco used his strength advantage to dominate early on. He locked Black in the over the shoulder backbreaker but Black escaped. Muraco went to the top for a flying body press but Black moved out of the way. Black rallied but couldn't follow up. Muraco regained control and hit the Asiatic Spike twicee. He went to the top rope for a flying body press but Black rolled through and nearly got the three count. Muraco regained control and hit the Hawaiian Hammer for the win.
Roderick Strong vs. Bryan Danielson – First Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Danielson and Strong peppered one another with stiff strikes. Strong scored the first near fall of the match with the Gibson Driver but after that, it was all Danielson. He wore Gibson down with three Cattle mutilations, a suplex, and MMA strikes before getting the tap out victory via the Chickenwing.

Champion's Road – Night 2 Danny Hodge vs. Don Muraco – Second Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Muraco mauled Hodge, winning by countout after a Hawaiian Hammer on the floor.
Bryan Danielson vs. Eddie Gilbert – Second Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Danielson and Gilbert battled all over the ring area. Danielson, fed up with Gilbert's reliance on illegal tactics, busted him open with MMA strikes and hit a diving headbutt for a near fall. Danielson locked on the cattle mutilation and Gilbert tapped out.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Adrian Street – Second Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: McGuinness destroyed Street, knocking Street senseless with a corner to corner forearm strike, then locking on the Cobra Clutch. Street made it to the ropes but Nigel hit the Jawbreaker Lariat for the win.
Kevin Sullivan vs. Super Crazy – Second Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Sullivan hit Super Crazy with the running forearm before the opening bell, almost picking up the quick win. Sullivan hit Crazy with the golden spike three times, wearing down the Extreme Luchador. Super Crazy bounced back and hit the Leaping DDT, almost scoring the upset. Undeterred, Sullivan regained control and hit the double foot stomp for the win.
Bob Roop vs. Les Thatcher: Roop and Thatcher fought back and forth. Thatcher took Roop to the mat and locked on the Stump Puller but Roop made it to the ropes. Roop took control and scored near falls with the piledriver and the Gutwrench backbreaker before getting the win with the Spinning Neckbreaker.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Don Muraco – Third Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Muraco and McGuinness battled back and forth, Muraco taking advantage of his superior strength. Muraco wore Nigel down with the Asiatic Spike and the Falling Face Slam before hitting the Hawaiian Hammer for the win.
Bryan Danielson vs. Kevin Sullivan – Third Round of Road of Champions Universal Crown tournament: Danielson blasted Sullivan with the Yakuza Kick at the opening bell, then clamped on the Cattle Mutilation for the quick win.
Don Muraco vs Bryan Danielson- RoC Universal Crown Finals: Muraco and Danielson wrestled a long and grueling match, both men absorbing tremendous punishment. Muraoc hit a Hawaiian Hammer out of nowhere but Danielson kicked out. Muraco hit a second Hawaiian Hammer minutes later but again Danielson kicked out. Danielson mounted a comeback and suplexed Muraco to the mat. Danielson locked on the Cattle Mutilation but Muraco made it to the ropes. Muraco made a comeback and hit the Asiatic Spike, wearing down Danielson. Muraco hit a Neckbreaker for near fall but Danielson got to the ropes. Muraco drilled Danielson with the Asiatic Spike a second time for the win.
After the match, Danielson raised Muraco's hand as the referee put the RoC Universal Crown belt around his waist. Eddie Gilbert entered the ring and prepared to unleash a fireball at Muraco, but Muraco pulled Danielson in the way at the last moment. Danielson writhed on the mat in agony and security mobbed the ring as Muraco and Gilbert brawled around the ring area.

SOLID! I really liked your Tournament and the ending with the crowning of Muraco as the first Champion is Cool and then Muraco pulls Danielson into Gilberts Fireball was wild...

Thanks. I stacked the tournament in the hopes that I'd end up with a heel champ I could build around. Muraco certainly fits the bill. Stay tuned for more Road of Champions action!

Michigan Massacre - Night 1: William Muldoon vs. Mad Dog Vachon: Muldoon took Vachon apart, wearing him down with the flying mare and the double shoulder lock before getting the win via a suplex.
Mike Quackenbush vs. Bob Roop: Roop laughed at Quackenbush at the opening bell, refusing to take him seriously. Quackenbush quickly took advantage, taking Roop down with a tilt a whirl backbreaker and hitting the Quackendriver II for the quick win.
Les Thatcher vs. Kevin Sullivan: Sullivan hit Thatcher before the bell with the Golden Spike before the bell and Thatcher never recovered. Sullivan brutallized Thatcher for a few minutes and hit the Double Foot Stomp for the win.
Danny Hodge vs. Austin Aries: Hodge and Aries battled all over the ring area. Hodge scored a near fall early on with an Oklahoma Sideroll out of nowhere. Aries bounced back and threw Hodge out to the floor, hitting a devastating DDT on the concrete that almost saw Hodge get counted out. Hodge battled back and rolled up Aries with the Oklahoma Sideroll a second time for the win.
Roderick Strong vs. Super Crazy: Strong destroyed Super Crazy. Strong softened him up with a superplex and a Gibson driver before getting the win with a brutal Yakuza kick.
Jerry Lynn vs. Adrian Street: In a rematch from the opening round of the Universal Crown tournament, Lynn gained a measure of revenge, beating Street in a quick match with a German suplex and two Cradle Piledrivers.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Cowboy Bob Orton: Nigel and Cowboy Bob Orton set the crowd on fire with their back and forth match. Nigel scored the first near fall of the match with a Jawbreaker Lariat out of nowhere. Orton made a comeback and scored near falls with three superplexes but couldn't put Nigel away. Nigel locked on the London Dungeon but Orton made it to the ropes. Orton turned things around and got the win with the second rope powerslam.
Don Muraco vs. Eddie Gilbert (with Ivan Koloff) for the RoC Universal Crown!: Gilbert attacked the RoC Universal champ before the bell and went after Muraco's knees. Gilbert locked on the figure four three times, wearing Muraco down. Gilbert hoisted Muraco up and hit the piledriver but Muraco managed to get his shoulder up. Gilbert argued with the ref, saying the count was slow and Muraco took control, rolling him up for a two count.
Muraco rallied and drilled Gilbert with the Asiatic Spike and followed it up with the vertical suplex. Muraco covered Gilbert but Ivan Koloff distracted the referee. Muraco's friend, Cowboy Bob Orton, tried to come down to ringside but was held back by security. Muraco hit a neckbreaker and covered Gilbert. Ivan Koloff got on the apron but was pulled back down by Mr. Fuji! Fuji threw salt in Koloff's eyes as the referee made the three count.
Gilbert, Muraco, Fuji, and Ivan Koloff brawled around the ringside area. Security stormed the ring but couldn't contain the four heels. Bryan Danielson hit the ring with a steel chair and plastered Gilbert with it. Fuji and Muraco retreated to the locker room as Danielson faced off with Ivan Koloff. Before the two could lock up, police hit the ring, breaking up the melee.

Night 1 I liked how Roop laughs at MQ, only to lose and it's Cool seeing Lynn getting his measure of revenge over Street and that Championship Bout was SOLID!, I loved the Chaos of the parties involved and BD coming after Koloff with a folding chair is wild stuff...

Michigan Massacre - Night 2: Mr. Fuji vs. Mike Quackenbush: Quackenbush wowed the crowd with his aerial maneuvers at the outset but the Devious one was just too tough. Fuji took control and wore Quack down with the Fuji Nerve Grip and the Banzai Drop before throwing him out to the floor. Fuji clotheslined Quack into the crowd and Quack was nearly counted out. Fuji nailed Quackenbush with a suplex for the win.
Les Thatcher vs. Eddie Gilbert: Thatcher bounced Gilbert all over the ring in the opening minutes but Hot Stuff took the beating and bided his time. Gilbert made a comeback and hit the neckbreaker clothesline out of nowhere for the win.
Roderick Strong vs. Adrian Street : Strong pounded Street all over the ring in the early minutes of the match, hitting two brutal backbreakers, working on the Exotic One's back. Strong hit the Gibson Driver but couldn't follow it up. Street took control and locked on the cobra clutch, wearing Strong down. Street hit the crucifix but Strong kicked out. Street hit the crucifix a second time for the win.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Super Crazy: Super Crazy fought hard but was no match for Nigel. Nigel wore down Crazy with two London Dungeons and nearly knocked him unconscious with a Jaw Breaker Lariat. Crazy rallied but Nigel turned the tables and locked on the Cobra Clutch for the win.
Austin Aries vs. Kevin Sullivan: Aries took the fight to the Gamemaster and had him reeling after two brutal Brainbusters. Sullivan battled back and busted Aries open after a Tree of Woe. Sullivan wore Aries down with the Golden Spike and hit the Double Foot Stomp but Aries kicked out. Aries mounted a comeback but it was short lived. Sullivan regained control and hit the Double Foot Stomp for the win.
William Muldoon vs. Mad Dog Vachon: Vachon started strong but Vachon was way out of his league. Muldoon picked him apart like a technician, wearing him down with three suplexes, a double shoulder lock, and a rollup. Muldoon hit the body lift and throw twice and covered Vachon for the win.
Bryan Danielson vs. Ivan Koloff: Danielson surprised Koloff in the early moments of the match, taking him down and locking on the Cattle Mutilation. Koloff got to the ropes and proceed to unload on Danielson, throwing him all over the ring. Danielson tried mounting a comeback but it was of no use. Koloff clamped on the Russian Bear Hug and Danielson had no choice but to submit.
Don Muraco vs. Danny Hodge for the RoC Universal Crown!: Muraco attacked Hodge before the bell and never let up, dominating Hodge with his brawling and power attack. Muraco hit two Hawaiian Hammers but Hodge kept kicking out, winning over the crowd with his toughness. Muraco hit a vertical suplex but Hodge kicked out. Muraco hit the Hawaiian Hammer a third time for the win.
