Solid action my friend and too bad Muraco failed in retaining versus McGuinness and then losing to Ivan Koloff. It's only a matter of time that Lou Thesz gets a crack at the Gold and can he be the one with a long title reign, we'll see...

Night of Champions: Dick Hutton vs. Les Thatcher: Hutton wore Thatcher down with the Atomic Drop and locked on the Abdominal Stretch for the quick win.
Bryan Danielson vs. Jigsaw: Danielson mauled Jigsaw, getting the quick tap out with the triangle choke.
Mr. Fuji vs. Danny Hodge: Hodge outwrestled Fuji for most of the match, frustrating the devious one. Fuji threw salt in Hodge's eyes, earning the DQ.
Roderick Strong vs. One Man Gang: Roderick Strong and One Man Gang battled back and forth. Strong wowed the crowd by hoisting Gang up and hitting the fireman's carry gutbuster for a near fall. Gang got back to his feet and Strong hit the Gibson Driver for the win.
Austin Aries vs. Cowboy Bob Orton: Aries took a pounding but couldn't muster any momentum against the Ace. Orton wore Aries down with two Superplexes and hit the second rope powerslam for the win.
Willliam Muldoon vs. George Hackenschmidt: Muldoon went to work on the Russian Lion, wearing him down with four double shoulder locks and a suplex, but couldn't finish him off. Hackenschmidt left the ring to recover and Muldoon followed. The two men brawled and Muldoon threw Hackenschmidt over the guardrail and into the crowd with the body lift and throw. Muldoon rolled back into the ring and Hackenschmidt was counted out.
Lou Thesz vs. Davy Richards: Thesz and Richards battled back and forth. Thesz hit a release powerbomb, knocking Richards senseless. Thesz hit the Greco Roman Backdrop for the win.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Ivan Koloff for the RoC Universal Crown!: Koloff tried to bully McGuinness with his strength early on but Nigel was unintimidated. Nigel rocked Koloff with two Jawbreaker Lariats and locked on the London Dungeon but Koloff made it to the ropes. Nigel dragged Koloff into the center of the ring and locked on the London Dungeon to retain the gold.

The Road Begins – Night 1: Dick Hutton vs. George Steele: Hutton and Steele wrestled a long match. Hutton couldn't seem to hold any momentum against Steele and Steele couldn't manage to take Hutton down for the count. Hutton wore Steele down with three Abdominal Stretches and a sleeper before finally getting the win via a scoop slam.
George Hackenschmidt vs. Brent Albright: Albright took the fight to the Russian Lion and a scored a near fall with the sharpshooter. Hackenschmidt escaped the hold and Albright dumped him on his head with a half nelson suplex. Hackenschmidt got to his feet and exploded into offense on Albright, blasting him with a knee smash and wearing him down with three Russian Bear Hugs. Hackenschmidt threw Albright over the top rope to the floor and Albright was counted out.
D'Lo Brown vs. Mr. Fuji: Fuji made short work of D'Lo Brown, hitting him twice with the salt and scoring a near fall with the shoulderbreaker. Fuji dragged Brown into the corner and hit the Banzai Drop for the win.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Val Venis: Castagnoli and Venis fought a competitive match. Venis started strong and hit a spinning powerbomb for a near fall. Venis followed it up with the Money Shot but Castagnoli kicked out. Venis hit the double underhook suplex but Castagnoli got his foot on the ropes. Venis argued with the referee and Claudio nailed him with the Ricola Bomb. Venins kicked out and Claudio hit a second Ricola Bomb. Venis got his foot on the ropes. Claudio dragged Venis to his feet and Val made a comeback, suplexing Claudio to the mat. Venis went ot the top and hit the Money Shot a second time for the win.
Antonino Rocca vs. John Pesek: Pesek tore into Rocca, intent on punishing the newcomer in his debut. Pesek wore Rocca down with two double wristlocks and scored a near fall with the fireman's carry slam. Pesek locked on the Tiger Man Toehold for the win.
William Muldoon vs. Johnny Valentine: Valentine and Muldoon wrestled a grueling match. Valentine scored near falls wearly on with the forearm bludgeon and the Atomic Skullcrusher. Muldoon made a comeback and slowly picked Valentine apart, wearing him down with a suplex and three double shoulder locks. Muldoon hit a body lift and throw but Valentine kicked out. Muldoon followed it up with two more body lifts but couldn't put Valentine away. Valentine made a comeback and hit the atomic skullcrusher for the win.
Ilio DiPaolo vs. Davey Richards: Richards attacke DiPaolo before the bell and attacked him relentlessly. Richards scored near falls with the Saito suplex, two DR Drivers, and a vicious armlock before getting the win via a tombstone piledriver.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Gorgeous George for the RoC Universal Crown: The new RoC champ was all business in this match. He quickly dismantled Gorgeous George, knocking him senseless with a short arm clothesline before locking on the London Dungeon for the win.

The Road Begins – Night 2: D'Lo Brown vs. George Steele: D'Lo Brown attacked Steele before the bell and whipped him into the buckle, charging in after him. Steele threw turnbuckle fuzz in Brown's face and locked on the Flying Hammerlock for the submission victory.
Dick Hutton vs. Brent Albright: Hutton used his strength advantage to frustrate Albright early on. Hutton scored near falls with the side salto and the sleeper hold. Albright battled back and hit the 6-1-Knee for a near fall. Albright locked on the Sharpshooter for the win.
William Muldoon vs. Val Venis: Venis started strong but missed a turnuckle charge and Muldoon took over. Muldoon wore Venis down with the body lift and throw, a shoulder lock, and two suplexes. The weakened Venis had no choice but to submit when Muldoon locked on the bear hug.
George Hackenschmidt vs. John Pesek: Pesek wore down Hakenschmidt with a lateral press keylock and began gouging his eyes. Hackenschmidt left the ring to recoop and Pesek followed. Pesek went to the eyes again and Hackenschmidt hit his breaking point. He picked up the ringside stairs and smashed them into Pesek's face, busting him open. The referee stopped the match and awarded the DQ victory to John Pesek.
Mr. Fuji vs. Johnny Valentine : Fuji looked to be on the cusp of an upset early on, scoring a near fall with the suplex. Johnny Valentine battled back and scored a near fall with the Atomic Skullcrusher. Valentine clamped on the abdominal stretch for the win.
Antonino Rocca vs. Greg Valentine: Valentine attacked Rocca in the aisle early on, clipping him in the back of the knee. Valentine locked on the Figure Four on the outside until the referee pulled him off. The injured Rocca made his way into the ring and Valentine quickly locked on the figure four a second time for the win.
Ilio DiPaolo vs. Ivan Koloff: Koloff busted DiPaolo open with the chain early on and wore him down with the Russian Bear Hug. The match spilled out of the ring and Koloff went for the chain again but DiPaolo grabbed it first and busted Koloff open with it. The referee caught DiPaolo in the act and awarded the match to Koloff.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Davey Richards for the RoC Universal Crown: Richards whipped Nigel into the ropes and Nigel leveled him with a Jawbreaker Lariat out of nowhere for a near fall. Richards made a comeback and scored near falls with the brainbuster and the DR Driver. Nigel left the ring and Richards followed him. Nigel took control and slammed Richards face first into the ringpost, earning the DQ. The announcers noted that this is the second occasion when Richards won a match with a RoC Universal Crown title holder by DQ.

Baptism by Fire – Night 1: New Blood Tournament: Antonino Rocca vs. George Steele – first round: Rocca made short work of Steele, wearing him down with the body scissors and locking on the Argentinian Backbreaker for the win.
Brent Albright vs. D'Lo Brown – first round: Albright and Brown fought back and forth. D'Lo planted Albright on the mat and hit the Lowdown for a near fall. The match spilled out of the ring and Albright was disqualified for suplexing Brown over the guard rail and into the crow.
Johnny Valentine vs. Val Venis – first round: Valentine destroyed Venis, quickly winning with the Atomic Skullcrusher.
Greg Valentine vs. Bill Dundee- first round: Dundee started strong in his RoC debut and nearly got the submission victory with the Boston Crab. Valentine battled back and locked on the Figure Four Leglock for the win.
Antonino Rocca vs. Greg Valentine – second round: Rocca attacked Valentine with uncharacteristic ferocity, eager to avenge his humiliating loss to Valentine. Rocca kicked Valentine senseless, busting him open, before hoisting him up in the Argentinian Backbreaker for the win.
Johnny Valentine vs. D'Lo Brown – second round: Valentine took Brown lightly and quickly paid the price. Brown planted Valentine with the Sky High and hit the Lowdown for a near fall. Valentine tried to mount a comeback but Brown slammed him to the mat and hit a second Lowdown for the win!
William Muldoon vs. Iron Mike DiBiase: DiBiase put up an impressive showing in his debut, wearing down Muldoon with two brutal series of punches and an abdominal stretch. Muldoon absorbed the punishment and went on the offensive, wearing DiBiase down with a double shoulder lock, two suplexes, and a body lift and throw. Muldoon locked on the double shoulder lock a second time for the submission victory.
Antonino Rocca vs. D'Lo Brown - finals: Brown put up a good fight but his run of luck ended. Rocca wore him down with three Argentinian Backbreakers before getting the win with the flying headscissors. Rocca has won the New Blood tournament!

Baptism by Fire – Night 2: John Pesek vs. Les Thatcher: Pesek tore into Thatcher and wore him down with two Tiger Man Toeholds before getting the submission victory via the double wristlock.
Gorgeous George vs. Jigsaw: Jigsaw started strong, scoring near falls with the missile dropkick and the enzuigiri. George made a comeback and locked on the spinning toehold for the win.
Hackenschmidt vs. Mike DiBiase: The Russian Lion destroyed DiBiase, winning after a crushing Russian Bear Hug.
Dick Hutton vs. One Man Gang : One Man Gang tried to intimidate Hutton but Hutton was unfased. He wore down Gang with two Abdominal Stretches before getting the submission with a third.
Muldoon vs. Mr. Fuji: Fuji attacked at the opening bell and never letup. He wore down Muldon with a suplex, a Banzai Drop, and throwing salt in Muldoon's eyes. Fuji dragged Muldoon into the corner and hit the Banzai Drop for the win.
Claudio vs. Davey Richards : Claudio took control early on and never let up. Claudio hit two Ricola Bombs fr near falls. Richards made a comeback but Claudio quickly turned things around with his strength advantage and hit a third Ricola Bomb for the win.
Ilio DiPaolo vs. Ivan Koloff: DiPaolo and Koloff fought a hard hitting match. DiPaolo seemed bent on punishing Koloff. He scored a near fall with the Airplane Spin and threw Koloff to the floor. Koloff recovered and battered DiPaolo against the guardrail before throwing him back into the ring. Koloff hit the top rope knee drop for a near fall and followed it up with a crushing back breaker. DiPaolo kicked out but was clearly in bad shape. Koloff locked on the Russian Bear Hug for the win.
After the match, Koloff grabbed the Russian Chain and busted DiPaolo open with it before wrapping the chain around his neck and dragging him around the ring until security arrived.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Antonino Rocca for the RoC Universal Crown: Rocca started strong, rocking Nigel with kicked, but couldn't keep any momentum going. The champion went after Rocca's arm, locking on the London Dungeon four times. Rocca recovered and whipped Nigel into the ropes. Nigel rebounded and hit the Jawbreaker Lariat for the win, his fourth successful defense.
