It's good that McGuinness retained versus Rocca in a Fourth Defense and to me it's hard for One guy to have a good run at the top, but Four Defenses is a pretty good run so far...

I had high hopes for Nigel after the Rocca and Koloff defenses. Too bad I'm quite a few cards ahead of this and already know how his reign ends.

Chained Fury – Night 1: Bill Dundee vs. Les Thatcher: Thatcher rocked Dundee with two series of dropkicks and got the win with a high sunset flip.
Mike DiBiase vs. Davey Richards: DiBiase attacked Richards at the opening bell and worked him over. DiBiase scored near falls with an abdominal stretch, a piledriver, and his signature move, the top rope knee drop. Richards rallied and dumped DiBiase on his head with a Saito Suplex for a near fall. Richards hit two brainbusters but DiBiase kicked out. Finally, Richards hit a second Saito Suplex for the win.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mr. Fuji: Claudio speared Fuji out of his shoes at the opening bell and went to work. Claudio wore Fuji down with a Ricola Bomb, an Alpamare Waterslide, and a springboard European Uppercut before getting the win with a second Ricola Bomb.
William Muldoon vs. One Man Gang Muldoon wore One Man Gang down early on with two suplexes and a double shoulderlock. Gang recovered and mauled Muldoon with his superior strength, wearing him down with two scoop slams and a big right hand. Muldoon tried to mount a comeback but Gang hit him with the face first suplex for the win.
Antonino Rocca vs. Dick Hutton: Hutton attacked Rocca's midsection and wore him down. Hutton used the Abdominal Stretch three times for the submission victory.
John Pesek vs. Greg Valentine: Pesek speared Valentine at the opening bell and locked on the Tiger Man Toehold but Valentine made it to the ropes. Pesek locked on the double bar hammerlock but Valentine made it to the ropes again. Valentine made a comeback and locked on the Figure Four Leglock but Pesek made it to the ropes. Pesek regained control and locked on the Tiger Man Toehold two more times, working on Valentine's leg. Pesek took Valentine down and locked on the double wristlock for the win.
D'Lo Brown vs. Johnny Valentine: Valentine destroyed Brown, winning after four Atomic Skullcrushers. Brown had to be helped from the ring area.
Nigel McGuinness & Ilio DiPaolo vs. Ivan Koloff & George Hackenschmidt: The Russians attacked Nigel before the opening bell and left him laying outside. DiPaolo fougrht hard but Koloff and Hackenschmidt wore him down with their power moves. Koloff hit the falling face slam for a near fall and Hackenschmidt locked on the Russian Bear Hug for the win.

Chained Fury – Night 2: Bill Dundee vs. Jigsaw: Jigsaw wore Dundee down with two Jig N Tonics and hit the missile dropkick for the win.
Davey Richards vs. One Man Gang: Richards took control early on and scored a near fall with the Saito Suplex. The match spilled outside and Richards was disqualified for bashing One Man Gang with the ring bell.
Mr. Fuji vs. D'Lo Brown: Fuji threw salt in D'Lo's face at the opening bell, then quickly hit the Banzai Drop for the win.
Brent Albright vs. Greg Valentine: Alibrght and Valentine wrestled a long and brutal match. Valentine hit a piledriver but Albright kicked out. Valentine hit a shoulder breaker and a falling elbow hammer for near falls but Albright wouldn't stay down. Finally, Valentine chopped Albright to the canvas and locked on the Figure Four Leglock for the win.
John Pesek vs. Dick Hutton: Pesek and Hutton wreslted a back and forth match. After several minutes of holds and counter holds, Pesek dodged a turnbuckle charge and rolled Hutton up for a near fall. Pesek hit the fireman's carry slam for the win.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Johnny Valentine: Valentine tore into Castagnoli and demolished him with five Atomic Skullcrushers for the win. Claudio had to be helped from ringside.
Ilio DiPaolo vs. Ivan Koloff – Russian Chain Match: DiPaolo and Koloff bludgeoned one another with the Russian Chain and were soon bleeding profusely. DiPaolo rocked Koloff with big right hands and hit the Airplane Spin for the win.
Nigel McGuinness vs. George Hackenschmidt for the RoC Universal Title: McGuinness, his ribs taped, blasted Hackenschmidt with the Jawbreaker Lariat early on but couldn't keep any momentum going because of his injury. Hackenschmidt clamped on the Russian Bear Hug, wearing the champion down. Hackenschmidt locked on the keylock armbar in the center of the ring and Nigel was forced to tap out. George Hackenschmidt is the new RoC Universal Crown champion!

It was fun seeing Koloff & Hackenschmidt over McGuinness & DiPaolo and then Ilio gets his revenge the next card over Koloff is a Chain Match, Sweet! Well McGuinness could not do what Ilio did with Hackenschmidt who ends the night as the New Champion, Fun Stuff...

Heartland Havoc – Night 1: Don Muraco vs. Jigsaw: Muraco tore into Jigsaw at the opening bell, eager to show the RoC crowd he hadn't lost anything in his absence. Muraco hit the Hawaiian Hammer and followed it up with the Asiatic Spike. Jigsaw managed to get his foot on the ropes and Muraco pulled him into the middle of the ring and hit the Hawaiian Hammer a second time for the win.
William Muldoon vs. Greg Valentine: Valentine unloaded on Muldoon in the opening minutes but Muldoon absorbed the punishment and waited for his opening. Muldoon took advantage and hit Valentine with three brutal suplexes for the win.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. D'Lo Brown: D'Lo took control at the opening bell and never gave Claudio a chance to recover. Brown hit two Lowdowns and a Sky High for near falls. Brown dragged Claudio into position and hit a third Lowdown for the win.
Dick Hutton vs. Val Venis: Venis got inside Hutton's head before the match and ruined his game plan. Venis dictated the pace and wore Hutton down with the reverse figure four and the Russian leg sweep. Venis went to the top and hit the Money Shot for the win.
Antonino Rocca vs. One Man Gang: Rocca wore down the massive One Man Gang with a body scissors then hoisted him up into the Argentinian Backbreaker for the win.
Davy Richards vs. Ivan Koloff: Richards tore into the Russian Bear and dumped him on his head with a Saito Suplex for a near fall. Richards hoisted Koloff up and drilled him with the brainbuster for the win.
Ilio DiPaolo vs. Johnny Valentine: DiPaolo took control early on, and hit the Airplane spin for a near fall. DiPaolo wore Valentine down with a running head ram and a series of big right hands. Valentine recovered and locked on the abdominal stretch but DiPaolo made it to the ropes. Valentine nailed DiPaolo with the atomic skullcrusher but DiPaolo got his foot on the ropes. Valentine argued with the referee and DiPaolo made a comeback and scored a near fall with a body slam. Valentine thumbed DiPaolo in the eye and scored the win after two atomic skullcrushers.
George Hackenschmidt vs. Nigel McGuinness for the RoC Universal Crown: Nigel tore into the Russian Lion and scored a near fall with the corner to corner forearm strike. Nigel locked on the cobra clutch and got the submission victory. Nigel McGuinness has regained the RoC Universal Crown!

Heartland Havoc – Night 2: William Muldoon vs. Jigsaw: Muldoon hit two suplexes in rapid succession, knocking Jigsaw sensless. Muldoon clamped on the bear hug for the submission victory.
Don Muraco vs. D'Lo Brown: Brown took the fight to Muraco and looked to be on his way to a big victory. He scored near falls with the running powerbomb and the Lowdown. Muraco recovered and mounted a comeback. He hit Brown with the Hawaiian Hammer and followed it up with a vertical suplex for a near fall. Muraco hit the Hawaiian Hammer a second time for the win.
Davy Richards vs. Val Venis: Venis took control early on but Richards recovered and gave Val a small package for a near fall. Richards followed it up with two DR Drivers but couldn't put Venis away. Venis took control and hit two Money shots for near falls. Richards recovered and whipped Venis to the ropes but Val speared Richards out of his boots for a near fall. Val hit a Russian leg sweep for a near fall and followed it up with a Money Shot for the win.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mike DiBiase: DiBiase went after Claudio at the opening bell like a shark. He scored a near fall with a sleeper and a piledriver and threw Claudio to the floor. Claudio took control on the outside and rolled DiBiase back into the ring. Claudio hit the Ricola Bomb for the win.
John Pesek vs. One Man Gang: Gang attacked Pesek before the bell and got a near fall after the running splash in the corner. He went for a 747 but Pesek rolled out of the way and locked on the lateral press keylock for a near fall. Pesek locked on the Tiger Man Toehold but Gang was too close to the ropes. Gang recovered and scored near falls with a body slam and a corner splash. One Man Gang went to the top and hit the 747 for the win.
Mr. Fuji vs. Johnny Valentine: Valentine whipped Fuji to the turnbuckles in the opening minutes of the match and Fuji rolled him up for a near fall. Valentine recovered and hit the Atomic Skullcrusher but Fuji got his foot on the ropes. Fuji took control and threw salt in Johnny Valentine's eyes. Fuji leveled Valentine with the kamakaze clothesline and hit the Banzai drop for the win.
Antonino Rocca vs. Ivan Koloff: Koloff mauled Rocca, ending the Argentinian's momentum. Koloff wore Rocca down with two top rope knee drops before clamping on the Russian Bear Hug for the win.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Les Thatcher for the RoC Universal Crown: Nigel went head to head with his trainer. Nigel scored a near fall early on with the cobra clutch. Thatcher took control and whipped Nigel to the ropes but Nigel nearly took his head off with the Jawbreaker Lariat. Thatcher kicked out and took control, scoring a near fall with a series of dropkicks. Thatcher and Nigel battled back and forth. Thatcher took control and hit the flying crossbody block out of nowhere for the win! Les Thatcher has defeated Nigel McGuinness for the RoC Universal Crown!

I've got to say it was good McGuinnes defeated Hackenschmidt, but Les Thatcher takes down the Champ to hold the Gold for his own, Solid! It would've been nice if Rocca not only defeats OMG, but beating Koloff too and that didn't happen. Another Solid round of Action and the question now is, will Thatcher fall at his first defense...
