I think this is the hottest the Indies Prime thread has been in a while! Most people know I am a fan of comedy wrestling, and I am less traditional in my favorite styles of matches. And I like that we have been able to represent so many different styles in the Indie games including comedy. When Zeke asked if we could include the Invisible Man card in Prime, I was hesitant at first because I thought there would be some backlash. But it is a card I thought could be fun for lots of game fans. I thought comfortable as long as the other 2 cards were some bigger name wrestlers that people could use in a few ways, which I believe JTG and Simon Gotch were. I hope most of the Indies Prime subscribers are happy with atleast 2 of the 3 names. I expect the Indies and COTG Prime lines to continue to have have mostly wrestler cards, but with some concept cards included as well to enhance the game. Whether you think any specific card enhances your game is up to you promoter. As a big fan of Invisible man matches, I think Zeke nailed the stats. I could totally see all the moves used in "logical" ways in this kind of wrestling interaction. If the objection is the art with the shirt, I could understand, as we dont see the character wrestle or come to the ring like that. This was the reference shot I would have wanted to go with:

I haven't received my cards yet and haven't spoken to anyone about the third Prime name for this cycle, so this is not a spoiler just a late guess... I'm chucking it out there that the third name will be The Invisible Man Yikes, I hope not.

This is awesome. I was thinking I might not see Bussy on Friday. Cool to see them and Session Moth. I am not familiar with Gene Munny yet. Liking the Collective announcements from the past day. Knowing your enjoyment of comedy wrestling, I hope you will enjoy the Gene Munny experience. His 'Daft Lads Emporium' show was perhaps the oddest show of 2023, with Detective TK Cooper - one half of Sunshine Machine - spending the evening investigating a series of murders, with Callum Newman - now of New Japan - Kid Lykos II, and Gene himself all being murdered as part of the show, all while the wrestling continued. Man Like DeReiss (or Doris, if you're Munny) was actually Man Like Mysterio during the show. The refs refused to work in the conditions, so random wrestlers, and All Japan ref Nikkan Lee, all did so instead, to varying degrees of success... utter madness! He's bizarre, funny, charismatic and will strut his way to the ring to Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. Oh, and he storyline loathes Martina, who has then "failed to turn up" to their last few tag matches Certainly seems like my kind of match! I dont think I have seen any Progress shows yet, so I'm in for an experience.

Nakano Takeko (indie card prior to 2139, alternate art) I'm betting that this is the same art we were shown in Chicago at Galacticon 2022 for the now defunct app game. There were a few pieces of art from the set shown in that video at Gcon 2022. But I think Tom specifically highlighted it at a virtual con in 2023. I believe the Perennial.

I posted my entry before Tom's announced that he would list all of the Secret History cards in the teaser today. Also, he only said in his first post that the First Cycle sets would start mailing the week of March 25th. That means they could mail out anytime that week, up to and including Saturday, March 30. The question now is whether Tom is just going to give us the names of all of the Women Warriors, or pictures of the fronts of the cards? Its the names and affiliation of the characters, no new art.

This is not a Collective post, but for Mania Weekend a few days ago I did get my NXT Stand and Deliver ticket. For the show, I am sitting with my friend Alex who is also from Las Vegas and who works for PWG and sometimes for GCW (including The Collective shows but he gets to pick whuch shows he works,) Todd/Tournament Master, and (I think) Sinestro24. Looking forward to the show! I am going to try to keep up with Zeke's Mania weekend schedule for a couple days. Wish me luck everyone!

Not a lot of Fanatics fans out there. Heard that have not been good to the sports card collectors out there. I havent had to deal with them much, but will for the Mania fan event.
Paul, luckily Filsinger Games still ships to Canada.
