Hey guys!
I'm thinking about ordering Early Classics of the 2070's & 2080's. My order form says it comes with 20 playing cards. I'm wondering does this game edition collect the intire EC years (79-86)? I want too buy the whole thing in one fell swoop.
any info would be great ;D

Basically you will need to get all the classics editions as well such as 2074, 2079, 2084, & 2086 for the cards that arent in EC.

Plus, if you do the Star Warrior to Avenging Warrior for a brief month in 2086, you'll need the Bash set.

If you want to run your GWF starting from 2074, you'll need all of them.

EC is pretty fun. You have to get used to a few of the cards not having the usual mechanics on them (like three (ch) situations), but it's a great way to fill in your early years. I started an EC fed and am now almost to 2077. Morpheus and Dorado Sundown are my champs, but as soon as DS loses the belts, they're going to claim shenanigans and leave the fed, as they're already past due according to the handbook.

The same thing happened in my Early Classics fed. Dorado Sundown were my first tag team champions and they stayed longer than they were supposed to because nobody (they walked all over the Guardians) could defeat them and take away their tag team championship. For Dorado Sundown I ended up doing an angle similar to what the WWE is currently doing with Ric Flair in which they agree d to leave the GWF once someone could defeat them for their tag championship and the tag team to finally do that was Paladin Power.

You may want to also read Big Bri's review of Classics 2074, 2079, 2084 & 2086. Definitely a great period to explore...and one which still offers much potential for fleshing out further.

My story went that DS (who had never been the champs, believe it or not) were going to challenge the then-champs, Crosscurrents (again, believe it or not), and if they couldn't win, they'd leave the fed. Well, they won, and they've held the belts for (I think) 6 defenses now. I've got the big Year 3 kickoff card coming shortly, though, and they'll probably be taking on either Rock Solid or Paladin Power. I'm kinda hoping DS loses so I can wrap that part of the story up, but I'll roll with what the dice give me.
