What is everyone's thoughts on Raw last night?? I was just whelmed not over or under, I am having a hard time caring about the Rock-Cena match at Mania...I believe it to be that my loathing of Cena as a character is more than my liking of the Rock as a character. My wife did point out however that if she has to see Big Show- Mark Henry again she's gonna wretch.

The opening with Punk-Jericho was good... but it was a little bit too close to a mirror of Cena-Rock, with Punk ragging on Jericho for not being there.
The GM stuff is OK... it's been pretty predictable so far, but I'm looking forward to having it settled, so that'll be good.
I didn't see much of the rest... I was more interested in Daytona, TBH.. nothing else captured my attention. The Rock's promo was WAY too long, IMO. I'm sure it was awesome live, but it didn't play well on TV. I have to say, I'm not that excited about it, either.

I enjoyed the opening with Punk-Jericho. The rest of the show was pretty blah but I agree that the GM thing with Teddy Long and JL is good.
The Rock's promo was absolutely awful. I hate it when he stops after every line to have the audience cheer. Plus I thought he was, again, using very childish things to rag on Cena about. I didn't get why it was funny that Rock said he'd like to hit Cena w/a piece of Kung Pao Chicken.
His jab that Cena doesn't have balls is ridiculous. Rock was tripping over some words (which he's RARELY ever done) he kept repeating words and it just felt like he thinks he can just be super animated and say anything and people will cheer, which they did, so maybe he's right.
I am REALLY pulling for Cena cuz everything he's ripped on The Rock for is true.

I loved the Jericho/Punk stuff. I thought it was gold, and for once I enjoyed Punk on the mic. I thought it was his best work since the Summer of Punk stuff.
I thought Cena really threw Rock off when he mentioned he has his promo scripted on his wrist. Rock looked legit shaken by that one and he never really recovered.

I love Punk's line;
"Screw your stupid Lite Brite jacket!"

There were clear shots of the crib notes on Rock's hand before Cena came out. There is NO WAY, with the WWE production staff being as good as it is, that was an accident.
Thing was a work. A really great, well-done work, but a work. The Rock has been so good at completely verbally emasculating everyone he comes into contact with, that a segment was sorely needed where Cena finally gets one over on him, and this accomplished it.
We've been so used to shitty WWE-style "acting" over the years that we forget that Rock, Austin, Foley, and even Vince could just run complete circles around most everyone today (minus Punk, pretty much) when it comes to reacting to things.

RAW was decent in my opinion but not great.
I do find it interesting the more they push the Rock and Cena feud the more I find myself behind Cena. I just can't get into the Rock. Much like Payback, I just get annoyed by the Rock. I feel like he is the spokeman for 12 year olds. Hehehe...he said boots to asses...hehehe... he said kung pow bitch...hehe. It's like watching Beavis and Butt-head.
Anyone else feel really sorry for Mark Henry? A few months ago he was the reason for Smackdown's big ratings, last night he was speared by the Big Show and kicked by Sheamus for a loss.
I'm loving Cody Rhodes, Jericho/Punk, and I'm rather amused by Laurinitis and Teddy Long. Something about that feud makes me laugh.

Really disagree. Why would Cena getting one over on Rock be "sorely needed" esp when for many, Cena has been making Rock look bad the whole time? It's not like Mania buy rates were somehow in jeopardy before that segment. Rock fucked up and Cena called him on it. Rock looked legit embarrassed by it. WWE has made ZERO mention of it since. No WWE.com articles, tweets, twats, fb shit nothing. No evidence that this is a work imo.
