WWE has interest in Ring of Honor tag team Jay and Mark Briscoe. The two have been blocked from signing with WWE by Ring of Honor, due to ROH enforcing their contracts.
Ring of Honor officials have also blocked wrestler Adam Cole from signing with WWE.
There is said to be discontent in the ROH locker room due to frustration with booker Jim Cornette and other issues that have to do with contracts and their limitations when it comes to doing work on the independents. Another source claims those rumors of discontent are untrue

What the hell took them so long? I've said this a hundred times. If the Briscoe Bros. were around during the days of the NWA, they'd have just as many tag team title reigns as the Midnight Express and Road Warriors.

ROH released a statement that they didn't block them, but their contract does "rebuke" the wrestlers from listening to WWE offers. Apparently WWE didn't offer anything, they just sent out feelers and were rejected from talking to the wrestlers involved.

I wasn't sure if the WWE was interested in the Briscoes, but I thought eventually there would be serious interest in Adam Cole. Hopefully it works out for them eventually.

I have heard "rumors" that the WWE once thought they didn't have the "right look" for them. Ya, they're ugly. They're nasty. They have dirt ass tats and look real rough. IMO that's a good thing. A real good thing. How else are your fans supposed to appreciate your "good looking" wrestlers if they're never in the ring with dudes who just look plain dangerous? Isn't that where the name "baby faces" came from anyways? Cause the heels looked ugly and nasty? |

Mike Knox looked BAD but never got much of a push. He wasn't a phenomenal wrestler but certainly wasn't bad. I would love to see more mean-mother-F'er looking guys around more. I would love to see the Briscoes in WWE someday. It would be a big loss for ROH but certainly would be good for their careers. I actually don't know a ton about Adam Cole though. |

- It was reported earlier this week that Ring of Honor had blocked The Briscoe Brothers and Adam Cole from signing with WWE by enforcing their contracts. This was news because ROH officials had stated that they would not stop their talents from moving on to bigger opportunities.
Jay Briscoe took to his Twitter account last night and wrote the following about the reports:
"Just to set shit straight, ROH didnt block us from gettin signed to the WWE. The internet is fing stupid."

I like the Briscoes, but i am of the opinion that they would never get over in a million years in the WWE. They can't work as singles wrestlers, I'm pretty sure they can't cut a promo without saying a swear word, and they would really need to rework their style in the ring. It would be very tough for them, which is a shame since they are both quite talented.
I think them and the WWE just wouldn't be a good fit. Like Jimi Hendrix jamming with the Beatles.
