Jack Dempsey met President Roosevelt and during dinner Teddy wanted to "spar" with the champ. After some prodding the champ agreed. Teddy had a ring in the basement of the white house. Teddy was a mixer for sure. I'm not sure about the boxing ring in the basement, but he was a judoka, and had judo mats in the White House. |

Now you guys really have me wanting a Teddy Rosevelt card. Imagine the tag team of Teddy and Jim Duggan.

Teddy had a full gym in the White House. I have seen old video of him and others throwing the medicine ball, and sparring in a ring. This was ll before the Truman remodel
