I am MARKING THE HECK OUT FOR ABRAHAM LINCOLN! The ol' rail splitter will be bringing the Presidential pain! And believe it or not I was just thinking the other day about how cool it would be to have Honest Abe in the LWF. THIS IS AWESOME!
Wasn't he supposedly the first NWA champion or something like that? Also, does this mean we can get a Sledgehammers in Six Feet of Water match?

I am really curious to hear how they came up with Lincoln's moveset. Was it just made up based on the style of wrestling of the time or is there enough historical accounts to put something together?

How the heck did Tom sign Abraham Lincoln??? American presidents are not held under copyright laws. If Tom wanted to do an entire set of US leaders to use as LOW wrestlers, he would probably get away with it.

I can't wait for a Lewis/Lewis tag team. Just have to think of a name for them.
Lincoln will be an interesting addition to the set. Let's see where he wins a world title first.
I'll admit I'd prefer cardtock versions of Lewis and Lincon, but I'll take them anyway I can get 'em.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but I believe that Tom help with an Honest Abe card for one of Sam Luptak Jr.'s POWER Pack a long time ago.

It was for Broc's Filsinger Corporation set actually, but yes, I still have the card somewhere, though I definitely expect the moveset to be different.

Call me crazy but I see major potential here for promoters to run some kind of "Prequel" story to their existing Legends fed using Honest Abe. Create a time-line in your fed before blacks were accepted in sports. Maybe throw some of the oldest guys together (Gotch, Lewis, Hack etc...) and introduce Abe as Commissioner. Eventually he breaks major ground by signing the 1st black wrestler (say Bobo Brazil). Imagine the drama. Some wrestlers would support it while others would oppose it. Imagine Abe signing the first ever World Title match featuring a black athlete. I'd think that would be a pretty historic moment in people's feds. There's all kinds of directions you could go with a story like that imo and you'd be honoring him by running a wrestling angle that somewhat mirrors him ending slavery.
edit: Another idea - Honest Abe vs. the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase is some kind of Presidential Race for commish. Dibiase can be the greedy Republican who spends millions funding his campaign while Abe does his talking in the ring. In the end maybe Abe frees Virgil or something. I could do a lot with this card.

Which is funny cause Lincoln helped found the Republican party, so a contest of what it WAS versus what it has BECOME would be fun. I have plans for Lincoln already. But just think, this man was a lawyer, a Senator, the President of the USA, he is well known for his writing and speaking and the Gettysburg Address is usually thought of as one of the best speeches ever given...Lincoln is going to be KILLER on the mic!

So are we getting a wrestling card or Commish card for Abe? If a wrestler, I hope he can hold his own against guys like Gotch, Pesek, and Muldoon.

It is a wrestling card. You could use him as a commish as well. I already am lining him up with Gotch and Muldoon and will feud with Gorgeous George to start.
