Simple and to the point. Does the streak continue and if it does, who does Taker fight at WM 29 as he attempts to go 21-0?
THIS............................................is a tough one, fans.

IMO the streak should stop at 20-0....... Great round number not to mention it's time for Taker to retire and walk into the HOF next year. .........but since that won't happen I guess I pick Brock.

I'm going w Cena. I just do not see how, from both a business and historical perspective, Vince can pass on this . Cena trying to end the streak would create all kinds of crazy emotions for fans everywhere. If there is one superstar in the WWE just as popular with Cena's fans as Cena, it's Taker. If UT retires and we don't get this match, imo you can cement it as the no.2 biggest waste of an opportunity by Vince right under Hogan vs. Flair at Mania.

I can't see that from the stand point of having the face of the WWE (Cena) lose in back to back Manias to past their primes guys. What kind of legacy does that leave Cena?
Also.....IMO...... The WCW/ECW Invasion was the #1 missed opportunity in the E's history. It had SO much potential.

Well i know who it's not going to be. DX or Kane. That leaves Cena or Rock or maybe someone new. It 's kind of frustrating that they kept billing it as 'end of an era', but we havn't heard from Undertaker since. I'm guessing they're leaving the door open. But what if he doesn't wrestle again? What does he do? come out and say "well i havn't wrestled in a year, so i guess i'm retired." I figured Cena all along, but with him losing to the Rock, that takes the steam out of a match with UT. So that leaves the Rock imo. If the Rock really is sticking around that's the biggest match now. Now Rock can come out and say 'i'm the greatest, i beat Austin, hogan and Cena." and then UT's music hits. "not so fast Rocky"

Said it before, and I'll say it again. The still photo of Taker, HHH, and HBK walking together away from the ring could be the iconic image of this generation, and possibly all time. At the age of all men involved, the careers of all men involved, and with a strong desire to get this business over, I am hoping and praying that this is the last match for all three men involved. Especially for The Undertaker.
I am having flashbacks of the Wolf debate in my head, because the logic still holds true for me. What else is there for him to do at this point in his career? 20-0 at the biggest event in the industry. A presence, ring entrance and work ethic that may never be equalled in my lifetime. The adoration and respect of every wrestling fan I know, from the smarks to the kids. Why risk your life and career for a number that isn't good enough for some?
I am hoping all three men can find peace from that match, and step aside so this time next year, we will all be talking about how wrester(s) X stole the show and did something we've never seen before.

I agree with Mr. Jimmyface. If any time in Taker's career was the right time to retire it would be now. I can see Triple H coming back to wrestle Brock, Michaels may make some more appearances, but it's hard to say with Taker. I saw a real interview with him a while back where he was out of character and he said he doesn't want to be that guy who fans say "You should have seen him wrestle back when..." and I think if he comes back he will be that guy. The hell in a cell match was legendary, the image of them walking out was classic, so what else could he do? For the sake of the post, if I had to pick an opponent I'd have to go with The Rock. I like the comment about Rock bragging about beating Austin, Hogan, and Cena at Wrestlemania and Taker coming out. At least they didn't do something like they did when Taker lost the casket match to Yokozuna at a Royal Rumble years ago.

I just don't see what good Undertaker does at this point. He wrestles once a year and then disappears. Its time to hang it up. He already cemented his legacy time and time again and is a shoo in for every pro wrestling HOF there is.
Cena is the only name that pops as being worth watching but there are better matches for Cena at Mania. Cena should be past having to beat past their prime legends to make his name.

I would contra your Wolf analogy with one of Triple H being a POW Commissioner.. semi-retired but gets into the ring once in a while. I'm sure he'll get in the ring soon with Brock. The Undertaker is not going to stop the streak at 20 just because it's a nice round number. As long as he's able and they believe he can draw money, it will continue. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Pirates of the Carribean were all great trilogies that lasted too long, but they continued on because their extended sequels drew at the box office. KB makes a great argument for why Cena shouldn't lose to the Taker after losing to Rock this year though.

I would like to see Taker take on Jericho.
