this Saturday, PWG has its annual DDT4 tag team tournament.
As previously mentioned on another thread, this year the current PWG World Tag Team Champions Appetite for Destruction had to pull out of the tournament due to an injury to Super Dragon, so instead of the PWG World Tag Team Championship being on the line in this tournament, this year's winner receives the next shot at the PWG World Tag Team Championship.
winner Who do you think will win DDT4 this year?
This is the lineup:
Sami Callihan & Roderick Strong vs. El Generico & Willie Mack
Future Shock vs. The Dynasty
RockNES Monsters vs. Fightin' Taylor Boys
The Young Bucks vs. Super Smash Bros.
Plus, Kevin Steen has issued an open challenge for his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship!

I voted for the Young Bucks but they are probably too obvious to win it. It seems that these tournaments are often used to bring up new teams who haven't quite made it to the top yet.

At the moment, these are my first round picks for this weekend's DDT4:
Sami Callihan & Roderick Strong vs. El Generico & Willie Mack Although they were originally not even scheduled for this tournament, I am picking El Generico and Willie Mack. I think there is a good chance that one of the two losers of this match will be the wrestler to accept PWG Champion Kevin Steen's open challenge for a title shot later in the show- and I sort of think it might be Callihan.
Future Shock vs. The Dynasty I think Joey Ryan and Scorpio Sky get the win here.
RockNES Monsters vs. Fightin' Taylor Boys Ever since Eight, the RockNES Monsters have been on a roll at PWG going 5-1 (well technically they also lost the 3 way tag match last month at World's Finest, but they were not the team that actually got defeated in that match.)
Since July, the RockNES Monsters:
defeated The Dynasty at Eight (but lost to the Dynasty in a rematch at the Battle of Los Angeles the following month,)
defeated Super Smash Brothers at The Perils of Rock N' Roll Decadence,
defeated Fightin' Taylor Boys (their first round opponent this weekend) at Steen Wolf
defeated Future Shock at Fear
defeated Blood Warriors (CIMA and Ricochet) at Kurt Russellreunion III
I think there is a chance that the RockNES Monsters could win DDT4 this weekend.
The Young Bucks vs. Super Smash Bros.
despite what happened at World's Finest, I am picking the Bucks (who have won 2 of the past 3 DDT4s) in this one

I think the Bucks wont win this year. I like the theory of the Rocknes Monsters...but I'm going on a limb and taking the replacement team of El Generico and Willie Mack.

I'm going on a limb and taking the replacement team of El Generico and Willie Mack. That is a good pick. I would not be surprised to see El Generico and Willie Mack win DDT4 this weekend.

I just got back home to Las Vegas after attending PWG's DDT 4 tonight.
This year, Super Smash Brothers win DDT4 by defeating Two Husky Black Guys (Willie Mack and El Generico) in the finals.
PWG World Champion Kevin Steen retained over Sami Callihan.
