Right now I love this guy. He was forgettable in the Million Dollar Tough Enough, and I thought he was a big stiff on the original NXT...
...but WWE is building this guy up the right way. He's probably not that big compared to other jacked up guys, but boy can he plow through the smaller, weaker opponents. And he does so with a ton of charisma. The new Goldberg, anyone?

He has a good look and athleticism, but has a history of being injury prone. It's hard to believe that he's been around WWE developmental since '04. At age 30, this is probably now or never time for him.

that's what I'm afraid of with this guy. He'll just get rolling along and then BAM. Injury.

They were probably looking for a future B level PPV opponent for Sheamus later this year when they brought him up. With the fans shitting all over Sheamus and in love with Daniel Bryan, I hope they put the belt back on him at ER. If they do Ryback makes a natural challenger to Daniel Bryan (as would Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett when they both return). I really wish the WWE would embrace their own past more by doing things like this. HHH, HBK and Undertaker aren't the only guys with a history ya know

After the Nexus started, I couldn't stand "Skip Sheffield", meaning I would pay money to see him get his ass kicked. They should've brought him back as Sheffield.
When he got hurt and Bryan got fired, that pretty much killed the Nexus right there. One or the other they might have been able to still be OK, but both at once killed it.

I find his whole shtick to be too reminiscent of Goldberg. He isn't bad and certainly has the look but just hasn't clicked for me yet.
