Last night Claudio had an impressive win over Alex Riley on SD. He's got a new Rugby gimmick going on that appears minor and temporary. He is still very much Claudio in every other way. I really appreciate how they are treating him in similar ways to how they treated Bryan Danielson - very carefully, and not diverting too much from what has made him special up to this point. I see very big things in the future for Claudio in the WWE. I think he is being groomed to hold titles, and maybe even the opportunity to be WWE Champion one day. After seeing the success of Punk and Bryan, I almost expect it. Rooting for Claudio to make it all the way to the top.

He does have a very menacing and hard hitting style in the ring. That speaks volumes to me. I think if a wrestler can stay consistent in that style, he should do very well. Making the crowd "Ooooo and Awwww..." after making that big hit goes a long way!

So far I am enjoying the way he is being presented. I dont think the Rugby thing is going to be anything that drags him down long term or anything. Having him endorsed by Johnny gives him a higher profile and feuding with Teddy the same. I agree that I could see him continue to develop, and easing him into speaking completely for himself will help (as if he has any weakness its talking on the mic...and in reality he has improved greatly the last 5 years).
I dont watch Smackdown, but make it a point to watch Claudio/Antonio clips every week.

Dont know if I'm an idiot or what ? . But until Swarm mentioned rugby gimmick , I never saw it coming at all , honestly . He aint got a shirt on or a ball with him . Surprised he doesn't do a spear tackle move (llike a bad piledriver , where you drop your opponent on his head wrongly)

So great to see Claudio on SD and doing so well. There have been guys who were big on the indy scene and they stay in FCW for a long time and here's Claudio who was there for what?? 6 months?? Now he's up on the main roster and looking great.
Shows you how talented he is and what the WWE thinks of him. Very happy for him.

I am a big Claudio fan, and I have been since his euro fued with Nigel in ROH. I love his debut, and I really hope that we get a very european stable with him, Aksana, and Wade Barrett. I think they would be a brutal group.
That being said, and I don't know why I feel this way, but I just don't see Claudio as a top player. I think he has a long and fruitful career as an upper mid carder, but I would be surprised if he was a many time chapion when all was said and done. A two time all star, let's say, not a hall of famer.

Claudio has been very impressive, and I was hoping he'd come to TV soon. He definitely has all the skills to go very far in WWE. I think a feud against Sheamus would be really good.

I have been waiting to see him on the main roster. He looks good so far but I really don't care for that finisher. My favorite move of his is Swiss Death. Hope he keeps it in WWE.

Antonio Cesaro listed as one of 7 "Young Lions set to dominate WWE" www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2012-05-21/which-young-lions-could-become-king/page-1Antonio Cesaro The sky is the limit for SmackDown’s Antonio Cesaro. This proud Swiss-born Superstar has been exceedingly impressive in his first matches on SmackDown, displaying incredible strength and agility. Throw in a high profile relationship with Aksana, and you have a recipe for ascendancy through the WWE ranks. Once banned from competing in European rugby leagues due to “excessive aggression,” Cesaro has the perfect temperament for the squared circle. Possessing a unique arsenal that includes a vicious European Uppercut, he will be a major challenge for any opponent. As ruthless as he’s shown he can be inside the ring, the Swiss-born Superstar is even more heartless outside the squared circle, as he’s made out with Aksana right in front of her ex, Teddy Long, without even a hint of remorse for the former GM. While that might not be the most admirable trait in a human being, here in WWE, it’s bound to make an impact. Perhaps the fiery up-and-comer will look to cement his ruthlessness by striking at the heart of the former Team Teddy members. The Swiss-born star would make a dangerous challenger to Team Teddy captain Santino Marella’s United States Championship or even Kofi Kingston & R-Truth’s titles if the right partner presented himself.
(PERSONAL THOUGHT: Could the highlighted section mean Chris Hero?) Whatever he decides to do, one thing’s for sure: Antonio Cesaro is going to do so in style.
