Many of the groups in the list are either inactive, or have become homes for spammers. Is there a way for fans to share their bootlegs without starting another group? Something along the lines of an online photo sharing service, except instead of photos one where we can share files. Prefer one were visitors can see the files before downloading. Then we can post messages here in the Filsinger forum when we have new bootlegs available at the file sharing site.

There, I got rid of the spam. Are you happy?
Seriously though, Yahoo groups just make it sooooo easy.

The spammer thing is a constant problem but isn't usually a big deal unless a sight has been inactive and there's nobody keeping on top of it. When you upload a new file to one of the Yahoo Groups an e-mail is automatically sent to every member notifying them. I agree with Pike that Yahoo is the best way to go

Usually easiest way to stop spam in yahoo groups is to approve members.
