You could buy them all up and then just introduce new sets on a "per yearly" in game time. I know when I got into the game Legends Hardcore had just come out so I bought up everything and dug in and have never looked back since. Or if you just want a taste and step into it slowly then I would suggest the Main Box set and maybe the Ringside companion to start, could even order up the new LOW charts as well but they are not needed to get your feet wet.
Welcome aboard the LOW train and I don't think you will be disappointed at all. Any questions and we LOW veterans are sure to help you out.
Slainte! CPB

If you're worried about time, I'd suggest one fed for now. Even if you buy all the sets, you can limit your fed to a comfortable size for you and move guys in and out like in the territory days.
If you don't want to buy all the sets at once, start with the box set and maybe one other of your choice. Grab a couple of the LE cards if you're inclined to do so - then you're good to go.

Yea I'd say start with the box set along with the Virgil & Breznikov LE cards. Start small and see what time permits. Then your good to go...kiddo!

The boxed set is definitely the best way to start. Then you can pick up which ever sets or LEs interest you most as your fed & interest grows.

The great thing abuout Legends is that it doesn't have a storyline. Each set is just a compilation of great wrestlers. If you don't have any of the start-up equiptment (charts, dice, rules) you can either buy the box set if you like that lineup and get that stuff with it, or just buy the charts, dice, rulebook offered individually at the online store. Then pick the sets you like and start it up. I'd say the boxset with 24 wrestlers and/or 2-3 regular editions will give you enough for a start.
