I didn't complain. I thanked Filsinger Games for saving me the money and making the "online or cards, but not both" decision simple. And I meant it. Seems like the best way to look at it. I've got a huge package of new game stuff coming my way next week (GWF, Chikara, new Colt card---man there's a lot of stuff!), so I'm happy saving the extra money (which will be spent on more cards in the coming weeks since NWA Hollywood is coming next month).
I'm not sure why anyone would complain about people complaining.
But, you know, I can't complain.

Man, I bet it would be funny to go back and read those. I used to go back on occasion and search around. I think it's still around but I can't even remember the web address or my password. You can't log into it anymore, unless you are staff.

I can see your point, Mark...but I don't get the LOW stuff and GWF is my only real purchases of the year for FG. I buy both and play online. I have the cards for cons and such. I can wait yes, but that's not the point here.

This is a terrible business decision on FG's part. The Galacticon crew is basically the "Inner Circle/Elitists" who have Tom's ear unfortunately. They mean nothing to me except as people who keep me off the boards with their arrogance and condescension.
If Tom feels compelled to honor their whines, release it online Saturday at 3 or something. That way, the elitists get to see it first and the peons get to see it at a resonable time. Waiting till the paper copies ship has nothing to do with Galacticon. It favors the cardstockers. They deserve no more preferential treatment for choosing to stay with some pieces of paper than I do for choosing digital. If they love their paper so much, they can wait for it.
Very bad call, FG.

Not all of them are bad people, even if they fit into the popular crowd. There are some greta guys at G-Con right now. However, there is some truth in your post. Some.

That does not make any sense. The guys at GalacticCon always get the set first on Fridays and then sometime after midnight is goes live online. So I can't see the GC guys complaining.

My point of view isn't about the GCon people getting it first. Like I stated earlier, they deserve to get it as it's the lore of G-Con and always has been that tradition. It was never stated that they were the ones whining, but I recall the others at home waiting for their copies complaining that online got theirs first..blah blah. I thought that the selling point for online would be to get it hours or even a day after G-Con, which is what Mark T. was referring to. With that not happening now, he and maybe others are not going to buy it now and FG will have lost those sales, yet the paper people would still probably have bought it regardless if we digital ones kept getting it sooner.
I do agree with you that the card people deserve it no more than us digital people. It's almost like a punishment for something that we never did. I'm sure it'll come out as "just a decision that was made" as to why the date was later, but it was never fully explained why it was ever changed either. Why all of a sudden push it nearly a week after the sets initial release date?

I loved gettting the online set either tonight or tomorrow, just the way it has been the last couple of years, so why the change now, is beyond me. If it is because people complained there is nothing to complain about, if Online isnt your cup of tea then so be it, but dont begrudge those of us that do play online or both online and c&d, we are all FG fans, and love this game.

Also, another big knife to the gut for digital is the price. I know some people where turned away when the digital price went up to the same as print. It should be A LITTLE cheaper, honestly.
